Food was delicious. We had enough to take home and have for dinner the next night. Our waitress was so funny. We had a very enjoyable time on Valentines Day
Great food as always. Busy on Valentines Day but service was still good. Great homemade bread.
We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day here a day early based on great reviews. We weren't disappointed. We were seated immediately in a cozy booth. Our server was friendly and efficient. We started with the calamari which was delightful, then ordered the Eggplant Parmesan and Chicken Francaise; both came with a pasta side. All the food tasted homemade and was delicious. I liked the glass filled with parmesan cheese for the table. A nice touch. Can't wait to return. Prices are reasonable, and in an area that's saturated with Italian restaurants, this will become our go-to place.
Consistently delicious. Great service! Our new “go to” place!
Always have an excellent meal there. There is wine available for sale now.
New Years Eve dinner early. Food excellent. Service excellent. Wonderful value. Wine list could be better but then you can also take your own for a small corkage
Our New Year's Eve dinner was great as always. Carlo even took our picture. AND you can cut the veal with a fork.
Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in town! Friendly staff, great selections. The soup is all homemade and delicious. Highly recommend.
We recently reviewed Carlo's Italian Bistro where we often enjoy some of the best Italian food in the area. But we had to post again because we tried a dish we'd not had before called Chicken and Shrimp Caprese. It was simply delicious. Chicken was soft and tasty, the large shrimp perfectly prepared, and the caprese style sauce and basil leaves were deliciously seasoned.
We had tmussels as an appetizer, and again, they were so very tasty in their white wine sauce. The house salad was good as usual. Since it is near the holidays, we also shared a delicious tartufo (very nicely presented and sometimes called a Bomba) along with a cappuccino.
Good meal. Prices are reasonable. Mozzarella sticks were great. The bomb (probably wrong name; dessert like a Klondike bar) was fabulous. Will go back.
In our review of a week ago we didn't mention the excellent mussels in a terrific white wine/garlic sauce. Nice cleaning up the sauce with the bread! Yum! We were a table of four and had an excellent meal. Service was fine and attentive, but didn't interfere with the conversations. In the event you don't know, Carlo's is BYOB. Would recommend dishes but since we eat there regularly, I can say you really can't make a poor choice. Everything is cooked to order.
We go there ALL the time just love the food. Service is great too.
Been dining at Carlo's Italian Bistro for about 5 years now, and always look forward to our next meal there. On our last visit my wife had Chicken Francais [sp] while I stayed basic with the most delicious spaghetti and meatballs. But then, over the delicious mussels and salads, we decided to share our main dishes so we each got to eat some of the two dishes we love. As I have said so many times before, Carlo's meals are consistently perfectly prepared. Ambience and service are very good...relax and enjoy.
I was very impressed with Carlos. The food was delicious and there were many great choices . I also enjoyed the quiet relaxed atmosphere . We will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service, as always!
Appreciate being able to BYOB even though they now serve their own wines.
Had trouble finding the lobster in the lobster ravioli. Still, all meals at the table were just fine.
The owner was very welcoming and politely friendly. The waitress was experienced and most helpful. The owner is from Naples so we knew we were getting good southern Italian food. The upstairs would be a fun place for a private party. There is a reasonable variety of selections. Also, at the entrance, is an area which could accommodate a group of twenty for a meeting.
We've been there often and really enjoy the good and experience. Will definitely go again!
We try to eat at Carlos every weekend. The food is always excellent and the service as well. The waitresses are knowledgeable and friendly. Whether we have pasta, veal, or seafood, It is always top quality. Carlo is always checking on the staff and the tables so you know everything is going to be perfect.
Deliciously tasting food. Exceptional service. Great wines.
My husband and I dine here often because the food is so very good and the atmosphere is welcoming. On our last visit, I had the veal marsala. It is always delicious and the veal is very tender. My husband had the veal saltimbocca whih was also special. The tomatoe sauce for the pasta is fantastic. We always look forward to the fresh bread an house salad with their special dressing. It is our favorite restaurant!
We couldn't be more pleased with the fact that Carlo's Italian Bistro is virtually in our back yard. The food is always delicious, the warm hospitality of Carlo is outstanding and the service is impeccable.
We went with the Salmon and the Veal Marsala this time and both were absolutely scrumptious. And the bread...did you know Carlo makes his own which is without a doubt - THE BEST!
We are sold. Carlo's Italian Bistro is our favorite for sure. Thank you for making our evenings there such a pleasure.
Overall good experience. The veal we both had was tender and tasty. The only negative was the service which was slow but the waitress was as accommodating and pleasant as she could be....think they were not prepared for the crowd with enough wait staff. First really busy weekend after summer we were told.
We went to Carlo's on recommendation for food quality. The food was quite good. It was a Saturday evening and we were seated upstairs which was nice, however, our server was by herself and the kitchen was backed up. We waited at least an hour to get our entrees. The only suggestion I have would be for the server to check in with us to let us know that things are backed up before we had to flag her down. Experienced restaurants will offer a glass of wine or dessert for the inconvenience. No effort was made in that regard. I would say Carlo's is better for a week night rather than a weekend meal.
We’ve been going to Carlo’s since it opened and typically the food is wonderful. I was disappointed with my eggplant parmigiana. There was very little sauce, not a lot of cheese and it wasn’t baked as it used to be. It was just a few pieces of eggplant folded on the plate with a bit of sauce and cheese. Not much flavor to speak of. The salad was fine and my husband’s pasta with sausage was the usual good dish.
Another great meal with friends on a Friday evening. The restaurant was busy, but the service did not suffer. We started with the mussels that are served with a delicious sauce suitable for dipping your bread. Yummy!! Our entrees, shrimp fradiavola, chicken francese, and pork shanks Rodolfo. The house salad is always fresh and the dressing is light. BYOB also nice.
Carlo always makes his way through the dining area and stops at every table. Nice touch indeed!!! We eat here often.
We like to come here often. Carlos himself usually comes by the table to say hello and that is always appreciated. The wait staff is very good as is the food!! Lots of good choices........
Celebrating a friend's big birthday. She had never been here before and she really enjoyed it. Everything, including the birthday dessert was great. The check was wrong but Deb was not to be bothered...sat in the back and we couldn't get her attention. Just letting you know about the service.
This was our first visit - a birthday celebration.
Every food item was freshly prepared and very tasty. We will definitely be adding this to our list of favorite Italian restaurants.
