Very good food the only criticism is that the prices are astronomical.

Found this little Gem via this site for my wife's birthday dinner out while visiting Colorado Springs. We were greeted by Carlos himself at the front door with a huge smile and warm personality. The first thing we notice walking in the door was the amazing aromas from the kitchen. Prompt and personal service (everyone knew our first names), incredible menu and the food lived up to all of the prior reviews and then some. We are foodies and have high expectations of a good meal out, this establishment didn't disappoint! A tad pricey, but in the end, worth every penny in our opinion. We'll definitely be back.

Food and service are outstanding, and the owner's personal attention adds much to the experience, but you pay a lot for that. The menu items are ultra expensive and the wine list prices are obscene.

By far the best dining experience I have ever had! Pricey, but worth every cent! It was my birthday and they treated me like a queen!!! Will be going back! Get any steak !!!;)

Probably the 2d best restaurant in the Springs only behind The Captain's Table in the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor. VERY pricey ($30 to well over $100 entre, but worth it. Everything is absolutely top notch from greeting to service to quality to ambiance. Carlos does a great job and adds a very personal touch.

I have look forward to this night, I am celebrating many milestone s although the price was high it was worth the wait and cost. Meal was 5 stars. I'll be back. Thanks

The special service begins in the parking lot when Carlos personally comes out to greet each guest, welcoming you to the restaurant. The food, the wait-staff service, the ambiance...from start to finish this place is a class act. Best restaurant hands down that we've been to in the Springs, and frankly, one of the best restaurants we've been to overall in all our travels.

Nothing more to say than “fantastic!” Everything on the menu is prepared with excellence, even though there are many items on it.

Carlos was amazing. The experience exceeded my expectations. I booked the restaurant based on reviews and was dazzled.

This is a really up scale restaurant. They have a very extensive menu. The prices range from very reasonable to super expensive. One of the better options is to go on a Wednesday when they have a large selection of wine for only $25 a bottle. The service was first rate. Our wait person Jennifer, was very knowledgeable and Carlos, the owner checked on us a number of times. We appreciated all the attention.

Carlos never disappoints! The food is the best in town, hands down. Service is great and every time we've been in, Carlos has said hello and checked to be sure everything is perfect. The menu has something for everyone, I enjoyed an old fashioned, hush puppies and duck on my last visit.

It was an awesome dining experience for our 50th wedding anniversary. Our server Jennifer was attentive but not hovering and her recommendations were spot on. We were greeted with Happy Anniversary from Carlos and everyone we came in contact with. The food was truly a culinary experience as it was the first time we visited the restaurant.
We were treated like royalty as were all of Carlos diners with Carlos visiting our table checking to see if everything was OK.
I would highly recommend the experience of dining, the food and service.

Carlos' Bistro is a true gem. We were greeted at the door by Carlos. He was asking what the occasion was, how our day is going, and provided us a great first experience. Sometimes restaurant owners can be too talkative, or too engaged with their customers. Carlos had the perfect balance of interacting with customers, and leaving them alone.

The waitress did an amazing job of explaining the menu, specials etc. She was thorough, calm, zero pressure.

Many of the items on the menu are expensive, however, my fiancé and I appreciated that Carlos also has lower priced options if you're not looking to spend as much. We selected several of the premium menu items, and a couple of the low cost.

When the food arrived, it looked great and tasted even better. We got the Alaskan King Crab as an app, the duck and the filet with crab for mains. The crab was cooked perfectly, great flavor, and there was much more actual crab than other high end restaurants typically offer. The duck was delicious, was not dry, and seasoned perfectly. The filet was cooked exactly medium rare as ordered, tasted better than any steak I've had at other steakhouses, and like the duck and crab was a good portion size.

I highly recommend Carlo's Bistro due to the world class customer service, great menu options, and delicious flavors.

Over priced by a mile. The veal massala was over wrought and tasteless. Good presentation and good service, but bad food at high prices is a bad combination in any one's book. Disappointing.

This was my first time at the restaurant and i was very inpressed. Carlos offers very personal service, and the food is outstanding. I think this is the best restaurant in Colorado Springs.

Carolo's Bistro never fails to impress friends and relatives. My brother and sister in law were in town. Rather than dinner at the Broadmoor where they were staying I got us reservations at Carolo's. They are both extensive travelers and are very familiar with a number of good restaurants around the globe. They were both impressed and BOTH completely cleaned their plates which they almost never do. They were both impressed and I am always impressed. It is expensive but worth it.

This is a wonderful place to eat at. If you have a special event to celebrate, or just want a very nice date, then Carlos Bistro will not disappoint. Carlos is very attentive to all his guest and tries to make the experience as pleasant as possible. Our waiter was fantastic. He knew his job and was very personable in his delivery and service.

Be sure you are ready to spend some money if you go here though. This is not a cheap outing or quick meal. You will want to take some time to enjoy the entire experience, and you will also be paying well to do so. That being stated, the meal was worth the money as every single item we had was top notch.

I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a fine dining experience for any special occasion.

This was a pleasant surprise for the both of us. My date and I had never been to the restaurant before. The occasion was her birthday, and she was pleased. I heard about the restaurant from a coworker. I will/would recommend Carlos Bistro to anyone wanting nice dinning, without feeling an over crowded atmosphere.

Great food and ambiance. The customer service and attention to detail is some of the best I’ve experienced. Carlos actually greeted us in the parking lot upon our arrival, checked on us numerous times during our meal, and bid us farewell when we left for the evening. Definitely recommend!

Carlos continues to provide near perfect execution of a well thought out menu along with absolutely extraordinary personal service. This is simply the best restaurant I’ve been to in Colorado.

Phenomenal doesn’t even come close. We dined here for the first time tonight because our old favorite was booked. I’m so incredibly glad it was. Every flavor in every dish was thought out and well balanced. Carlos wasn’t our server but was thoughtful and attentive as a host. Molly was equally amazing! We ordered the following dishes between 3 people, frog legs, crab legs, lobster salad, shrimp cocktail, mushroom soup, avocado rolls, caprese salad, flat iron steak, the Peruvian rib eye and the calf’s liver. Everything was amazing. We half expected something to be a lesser quality since the menu is so extensive and not one thing fell below our high standards. Before we even left we made reservations for 2 days later. I can’t believe we hadn’t heard of this place before then!!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Well worth the price and will definitely be celebrating more occasions here
