Founded in 1979 by Dave Alderman who is still the owner, Carlos and Pepe’s 17th Street Cantina is a Mexican restaurant that serves up accessible fare. Using only the finest and freshest ingredients around, Dave would rather take an item off the menu than serve a dish that can’t be as fresh as could be. With a full bar serving Carlos and Pepe’s 17th Street Cantina’s famous margaritas, patrons will want to come back almost as soon as they leave. The Carlos and Pepe’s 17th Street Cantina menu has a wide range of classic Mexican dishes always served with fresh salsas and chips. There are appetizers like spicy beef nachos, chicken and steak fajitas and quesadillas that come loaded with cheese and “Gringo” specialties for those who’ve never tried Mexican.
