From the people that brought you Trattoria Carina, Pub & Kitchen and The Diving Horse comes their newest restaurant, Carina Sorella.

Carina Sorella is a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with a focus on delicious and approachable food in a bright, vibrant atmosphere. Our menu is built around classic dishes - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan - but we surround that core of dishes with seasonal, chef driven specialties.

The Bryn Mawr location will include the addition of a pizza oven and a full bar, building on the smaller footprint of the existing location in Philadelphia, Trattoria Carina.

A highly anticipated brunch was so disappointing. The restaurant is gorgeous for sure. Food? Surprisingly mediocre. We started with the meatballs which were dry and lacked seasoning but were still tasty. With a spicy red sauce and yummy whipped ricotta. We shared a Caesar salad which was perfectly delicious, with a nice tang of lemon and yummy Parmesany croutons. I opted for the burger which sounded amazing with Gruyère, bacon and onions. Unfortunately, it was so dry I had a difficult time even swallowing my first bite . I had another bite and decided it was not edible. I pushed it aside. This should be a clue to the server to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Instead, she never came back, (there were only 3 or 4 other dining parties) she completely ignored this. My daughters shared some of their cacio et pepe which was not a true representation of that Roman signature dish. They made it with heavy cream when should only be pasta, cheese & pepper. All that and I still want to try this spot again for dinner. It’s a beautiful space. The cocktail was delicious. Maybe it’s the summer brunch team back in the kitchen? The most egregious error was the server not asking us if everything came out ok. Or did I want something instead. Training your servers properly is as important as getting the food right.

TOO LOUD!!!! Everybody is yelling over everybody else. Waitstaff has to bend down to customers and yell to take orders. Too much chaos, not relaxing, won’t go back until somebody tells me they fixed the problem.

First time, not impressed with anything- indicated it was a special day on the reservation it wasn’t even acknowledged- ordered two drinks one arrived wrong, ordered chopped salad and there was no Italian meat, had to ask for it- it was then brought to me to throw on the top- food was average in my opinion over priced.

We had a delicious after-movie dinner. My husband had interest in the Caesar salad and I had my eye on the beet salad. Both of us are not big eaters, so before we ordered I asked Jenna, our server, if the salads were regular size or large. She advised that the beet salad was appropriate for one, and that the Caesar was larger and easily shared. We ordered the Caesar salad and she was correct. I had the gemelli with pesto and my husband had the scallops. Both were just yummy. I tasted one of his scallops, and it melted in my mouth. To complete our very pleasing dining experience, we both ordered cappuccinos and the mango sorbet. Unlike many restaurants that serve cappuccino in tiny cups and lukewarm (as if it were liquid gold), our cappuccinos were presented in large cups and piping hot! Magnifique! The mango sorbet was pure heaven! Jenna was a terrific server and deserves special mention. She was attentive, helpful, informative, and just plain nice. The only drawback is the noise level. It was quite noisy even with a half filled dining room at 9:30 pm. Hopefully, the proprietors can resolve the issue down the road.

Very delicious. Portions enormous almost ridiculously large. Fun vibe but too noisy for casual conversation at the table

2nd Visit to try again. Service and staff 5 Star. Food and cost: only fair and exceptionally overpriced. 3 small pizzas and a bowl of roasted sprouts. $100. 1 Star pizzas and serving ordinary food piled high in shredded cheese to look pretty and expensive.

Absolutely delicious food and our server was wonderful. Wonderful ambiance too- you kind of feel like you’re in a restaurant in Europe! My only complaint is that it was a bit too warm in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend!
