At Caribou the surroundings are comfortable and the focus is contemporary cuisine of exceptional quality. Signature dishes created by our Chef include certified Angus tenderloin, cedar plank salmon, black and blue ahi tuna and wood oven pizzas. Our desserts are prepared in-house by our pastry chef. We feature an extensive wine list with numerous vintage wines as well as over 30 wines by the glass.
Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar opened in November of 1999. The menu has been developed over many years of visiting restaurants all over North America and the world. Options represent Italian, Asian, Cuban or any other styles of new and exciting cuisine.
Caribou has been listed in "Where to Eat in Canada" for several years running and the wine list has earned the "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence" every year since 2002.

I am never disappointed at Caribou!! Food is delicious and service is great! I only get there once a year or so, as I don’t live in northern Ontario, so I look forward to it each time I am in town!

Good food! Steak was cooked to order. I asked for there to be no salt added to the steak, but the steak was quite salty. I ordered a long espresso, but what I got was an americano. I had to send it back. Waitress apologized on behalf of the barista. She indicated that was the way The Caribou serves espressos. I now know that The Caribou is not the place to enjoy an espresso.

Service was outstanding! Offered suggestions and ensured all requests were met-all with a smile. Food tasted great and enjoyed the variety of local fresh produce offered. Noise level a little high but understandable that it is out of their control. Thank you for a great experience while dining with newcomers to the city.

Excellent service and food. Always. Arancini, Sticky Ribs, Steak Frites. So good! Server/bartender Jenna(?) made the experience even more enjoyable.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Caribou and enjoyed our meals. The staff were great, ensuring we were not waiting long to be served and our orders taken. Very friendly and polite. The food was amazing. Hats off to everyone in the kitchen for doing a spectacular job. This was our 3rd time at the Caribou, and one of our favorite places to go. We will be back.

Always enjoy our meals at the Caribou however starting to feel that the experience never changes and menu stagnant. Also noise level made conversation challenging. Lovely servers though.

I had the porcini last night and it was beyond delicious and cooked to perfection! Everything from our drinks, to the caesar, to the risotto balls to dessert was outstanding. Our server Gina was awesome as well, very attentive, friendly and professional. We enjoyed every minute and every bite!

Caribou is our favourite place to eat in TBay. Always outstanding food and service. However, it is so noisy and probably nothing can be done about that.
