This restaurant is closed!!!!!!!!

I would like to inform you that when we arrived to the Caribbean Smokehouse it was closed for good. We were totally shocked that we weren't told about their closure. It was very disappointing to arrive and find the doors locked when it was so cold outside. Lucky we found a nearby restaurant open to have dinner.

I was pleasantly surprised. Next time I’ll try the ribs but the burger (make it jerk with bacon) was amazing! The jalapeño cornbread was delicious! I would definitely go back and I’ve already recommended Caribbean Smokehouse to friends. Next on my list is the ribs and dessert.

We had a great time here. It was our first time. The waiter was great and so was the food. We went during the slow season so there wasn’t much going on but overall it was great. Gave four stars in some points and five in others because there is always a little room for improvement but overall couldn’t complain. Only one real inconvenience is that their bathroom is in the building not in their restaurant but there is nothing they can do about that. Isn’t a huge deal.

Had read good things about Caribbean Smokehouse when searching out a place to eat - we were in the area from out of town. We checked out the website and decided to go there for dinner, even though it was a more than 20 minute drive from our hotel. Saw that I could make a reservation online, so I did. Got there and found the restaurant closed. Checked the website - nothing on the website about being closed. Checked to see if the restaurant had a Facebook page - and there we found an announcement that they were closed for repair work.

I can understand the need to be closed for repair work, but if you are to be closed for a period of time for such work, it would be wise to note that in an announcement on your website. And turn off the online reservation feature. Because if the website had provided such information or the online reservation system had provided such information, we would not have wasted more than an hour of our time driving out to Stillwater to find the restaurant closed, trying to figure out why it was closed (there was also no sign on the restaurant doors), driving back to the area we were staying in, and then finding another place to eat. Poor customer service due to poor communication.

I am old, I do not tolerate loud background music and smbient sound, the brick walls reverberate the sound. Wait staff was very busy...underhanded, snd food was underdone in general, edp the mac snd cheese. The wings were very good. Ribs were overdone.

Nope. Disorganized, over charred ribs and overall not a good experience. Both of us had stomach upset and lots of gas. Affected our sleep and made us feel off the next day.

Food was good but service was very slow. Barely saw our server. Had to flag down others to get things like utensils to eat our food. Went during restaurant week and the value was terrible. Their “deal” saved you maybe a dollar. Probably won’t be back.

One of our guests was not pleased with the chicken, too sweet. Seems odd your chicken would seem sweet.

The remaining 3 of us said food was delicious. Especially the ribs.

Music too loud, even after one of us was able to have staff turn it down.

Nick is excellent server, kudos!

2nd visit this month. First ever visits. Plan to be back, ASAP.

We went for my daughters 10th birthday and had an awesome time. The food was outstanding and the service was top notch. Highly recommend!!

Some of the best Jerk Chicken and cornbread I have ever had, the burger and tots were awesome.

I enjoyed the live band (Johnnie Brown Experience) OMG MUST. SEE. "Fantastic Entertainer", Great Singer!!! The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was made to order, piping hot, great flavor, crispy, juicy! The Sweet Potatoe Bake was wonderful! (it didn't look appetitzing), Fried Plantain was light, crispy with a hint of sea salt, perfect! Smoked Chicken Wings were tender, great smoked flavor! The Caribbean Cosmo, not to many shakes (not diluted), AWESOME! The Jalapeno Cornbread with butter, sweet & hot combination is just right, to die for!!!!!

The portions were small for what you get.

side dishes were good. Meats: Fried Chicken wasnt crispy enough. it looked like it was baked rather than fried. Ribs were dry overcooked appeared to be reheated. crab cakes and chicken wings appetizers were excellent

This was our first time at Caribbean Smokehouse and it turned out to be a great experience overall. The food was excellent. I had the jerk chicken with rice and beans which was very tasty and a Caribbean Cosmo that I am still thinking about. We sat on the patio which was very nice with few bugs and could hear the music from the dj. We would like to come back to hear the live music. We would definitely come back again but for a special occasion as Stillwater is not right around the corner from where we live. Great spot though! The food is really good.

First time customer and will be returning! This place is great. Friendly staff, great food and music. Ray Covington’s performance was also phenomenal.

The food was wonderful! Excellent service. Tables squeezed in a little tight around some of the pillars. Live music about to start but we had to head out. We'll definitely go back!

Love this place!

We made reservations...knowing we were going into Stillwater and it can be crazy on a Saturday night. When the waitress took us to our table, it was a cramped space. So we asked if you could sit at a round table in the corner where there was more room....we were told no..that's a table for 6 (there were 4 of us)and there was a reservation...how bout over there...theres two tables for 4...theres reservations....WE WERE FINISHED AND LEAVING BEFORE ANY OF THOSE TABLES WERE EVEN SEATED! We could have sat there....oh, they sat a party of 3 at a table for 6, just after they sat us...?? We talked on the way home....y'all need a professional host or hostess at the front door ..happy customers spend more money and return...Our waitress was great and the food was very good...but is it worth the wrestling at the front door?....mmmmm....maybe, maybe not...

I felt it was a bit overpriced for the amount of food. Server wasn't the best

We ordered a dish with jerk chicken, and were told that it was a 3 piece dinner. We asked if we could have all white meat, and were told “yes”. When the meal came, it was a chicken breast and 2 wings- but I never think of wings as “white meat”, and wings are not much meat. We asked the server about it, and she brought it to the attention of the manager. He brought us another chicken breast, and told us he wanted to be sure his customers were satisfied. That very business-savvy response means we are definitely willing to go back.

I had been wanting to try this place out for awhile and finally got around to it. Let me just say this...It was well worth the wait! My husband and I shared ribs and fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, cole slaw and sweet potato casserole. Everything was on point but we were both partial to the chicken and mac and cheese. We were both way too stuffed to try any of the dessert but trust me, I may start with dessert next time! Do yourself a favor and make your way to this spot ASAP! I will absolutely be back within the next few weeks! Kudos to the chef and all of the incredibly friendly staff!

We came for our anniversary and brought our two boys. The staff was friendly and their kids menu satisfied them with an awesome grilled cheese. We had the wing appetizer and street tacos, very good! The seating area on the inside is really nicely decorated (beautiful old building space). The ambiance outside on the patio was really nice, the traffic noise however can get a little noisy, especially the motorcycles headed away from the restaurant. The kids jumped a few times. Overall it was very good, we’ll be back.

I saw the menu was the same as the previous owner so was SO excited to check it out. I planned to order lunch but only stayed for apps. So disappointed!!! 😢 The jalapeño cornbread does not compare to the previous owners. The drinks were watered down & the food was not impressive. It was standard, nothing special. The owner did comp the drink which was nice. There was an entire lemon in the drink we ordered which was gross & unnecessary!

Great appetizers. I had the ribs, cornbread and sweet potatoes. it was all very good. We also had the street tacos and the were cold. Told the waitress and she put in a new order . The chef brought them to our table and apologized for the issue. They also took them off our bill. Great recovery. We would definitely go back.

Delicious!!! Great service. They even gave my husband a free meal for Father’s Day because he checked in on Facebook! Way to go, restaurant! I had fried chicken which was tender, juicy and just the right amount of crispy. It wasn’t overly salty either—woohoo! Highly recommend!

My husband and I went there for my birthday/anniversary dinner and had the most amazing service. We had drinks at the bar first and they were fun and engaging. The Head chef brought us out an amazing dessert to start out our night. He sat and talked with us and made us feel like family. When we got a table to eat, the waitress was so fun and had amazing suggestions. We had a large group and she was on top of everything. I have never had more outstanding service. To top it off the chef brought us another dessert to try! It makes a big difference in your dinning out experience when you have the right staff running the place. Keep it up guys! We will definitely be back!

Mitch was a wonderful server. Very personable and gave great recommendations. It was fun to talk dogs when he had time. The salmon was good. The only critique i would say about it was that there wasn't a ton of curry flavor to the veggies. The shrimp starter plate had the perfect amount of heat. Great experience we will be back.

That orange aioli, wow! You have to get the wings appetizer with the aioli. The salmon salad was amazing. The smoked meats are tender and wonderfully seasoned.

Great food, and plenty of options for non meateaters and kids! Service was great, we will definitely be back!
