Great as always! Food was great, service was great, love this place. Highly recommend it for a lovely evening out!
Excellent food, good old style Italian and newer dishes, wide variety menu, from appetizers to dessert, all is great.
Great place to take a loved one. Beautiful environment and happy servers.
Quite popular and therefore loud, but table conversation still possible. Extensive menu. All we had was very good. Outdoor dining possible if weather permits.
Great menu and friendly staff. Would recommend and be a return customer
Carelli's never disappoints! Great food, great value, and great service. Not to mention the coolest decor and lighting!
I had the Tiramisu again Oh my gosh! sooooo good. They bring it in from Milan Italy and its the best thing since sliced bread. We will be back very soon.
Carelli’s provided an amazing experience. The manager was extremely friendly and accommodating. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided phenomenal service. Will definitely dine here again next time I’m in town.
Attitudes seemed low while customer volumes were high. What seemed to be a manager didn't really greet us at the front, but rather said, "I can help you" while never raising his face from his task. Once seated the waitress took care of us with a somber mood. She was a good waitress making sure to take orders and got things right, but was quick to walk away when questions were still being asked of her. We overheard another waitress explaining to her customers that they were understaffed. I have been there, but it felt like there were some underlying frustrations that went along with that. The food was not as good as the last time we visited. It has been a decade and a lot changes over time. The interior was beautiful, the patio was very nice.
Best fine Italian dining in Boulder! Don't miss the veal specialties!
Delicious dinner and terrific service as always.
Carelli’s is a Boulder staple. The food is good, reasonably priced and it always feels like home.
A friend an I had a lovely early afternoon visit with a several nice wines by the glass options and the server was well informed on those. We appreciated her feedback as we both have very different appreciations of wines! The toasted bread and lamb meatballs were a fantastic appetizer to tide us over until dinner time. We purchased dinner to go for our families and I can say, the chicken piccata and veal dish were both excellent and traveled well. I'm enjoying the leftover kale and apple salad today! Sign me up for a quick laugh with friends , in a lovely dining room/ cocktail area and dinner to go!
Very good Italian restaurant. It was my first time there and probably the first of many ones in the future. It's on the expensive side but worth it.
Excellent meal. Service was great. We didn't feel rushed.
It was good to be back at Carelli's after more than a year. We were seated in the back section, which is not our favorite decor, but it had the advantage of being relatively quiet so that we could converse without raising our voices. The food was excellent as we remembered. I ordered the clams over angle hair pasta and my wife had chicken marsala. I enjoyed mine immensely (along with the garlic bread). Her only negative was that the marsala was a bit over salted, not allowing the marsala flavor to come through as intensely. The kale salad was also a hit along with the tiramisu for dessert. We will definitely be back soon.
First time at a long-established restaurant. I now understand why it is the best Italian restaurant in Boulder.
Beautiful decor, attentive service and delicious food
Best Italian food in Boulder by a long shot. The "Alla Carelli" dishes are fantastic new flavors to try. Gluten-free pasta and bread options available if you ask.
The restaurant is always a wonderful experience!
The food at Carelli's is Ristorante is fresh and delicious! The service is kind and professional. This is now my favorite "date night" spot to go!
Great service, atmosphere. Food delicious.
Fabulous food, service, and ambience. The absolute best Italian food in Boulder.
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The highlights were the avocado bruschetta, the salmon carpaccio, and the gnocchi. The service was not rushed at all, but the server was there the instant we needed her. We've been coming here for years, and it just keeps getting better. I can't recommend this place more highly.
The service was great but the food was not what I have grown to enjoy .
My salad had pieces of wilted lettuce and the salad was warm .
Anyone who has been in the restaurant business you need to keep the romaine in icy water to keep the lettuce cold and refreshed and serve cold .
The calamari was over cooked .
This restaurant needs to work at getting back to the wonderful food that I remember
Always the best in Boulder! Thanks JT for going above and beyond!!
As our first post-pandemic outing inside a restaurant with friends, it was terrific! We so enjoyed being together and had a terrific meal.
Looking for a family “go to”
Friday night dinner out. This may be the place! Great diversity of food choices and ranging prices
I made a reservation 6 days ahead for 6:00 and noted that I was handicapped. Because
of cars picking up takeout food we could not park in handIcap area. Once in the
door the man at the desk turned his back on us with no greeting and walked away.
When he returned I gave my name and he confirmed reservation, pointed to the
bench and said curtly, you have to wait there. We waited for 22 minutes - he did not
once apologize or acknowledge our presence. That is rude. It is not a nice way to
treat older people. When I complained about this to other friends they said they had been treated rudely at the door also, and never went back to Carelli's.
Excellent, as always. Good everything. Perhaps our favorite restaurant.
One of my favorite restaurants to in.
Wonderful dinner. Food was delicious, waitstaff was more than attentive. Most comfortable bench seating with tons of pillows! Couldn't have loved it more!
First time here, will definitely be back when we return to town.
Where do I begin? Everything was delicious and the service was top notch! Can’t wait to go back. We tried the eggplant appetizer, clams and pasta and a salmon dish. We took tiramisu home for dessert. We did not leave a morsel on our plates.
Great recommendations for post-vaccination dinner! We were seated on the patio and, except that the table was pretty small for two, it was quite comfortable. Good as always was great and no problem getting a second meal out of the leftovers!
We always love coming to this restaurant. The food is great, the ambience is delightful and generally the service is top notch. We were greeted by the manager and asked how things were. Which is always nice. We didn’t receive poor service and the service was timely, but the food server seemed distracted and as if she were wishing she were somewhere else. Not our usual service we receive here.
Generally, the food and service was good - food took an extraordinary amount of time to be served (45 minutes) and so we were eating after the restaurant had closed. We then had to chase someone down to settle the check. Next time, probably reserve something earlier when they’re not trying to clean up to go home.
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Boulder. The food and service are always excellent, totally worth the money!
Great service and food, kinda ruined by a super loud baby crying
This is the second time I’ve been here, the food is outstanding! I highly recommend , the best Italian food I’ve had! I had the ravioli and tiramisu for dessert both were incredible. The service was excellent as well!
