   Had dinner in one of the booths. Staff and food were lovely. Macaroni was delicious, as were the cocktails. Can't wait to return.

   Food we had was awful. One member of the party ordered the Sunday roast - the beef was so tough that he struggled to cut it and the Yorkshire pudding and potatoes were hard, overcooked and (in the case of the puddings) burned! There was very little macaroni in the mac and cheese options and 2 of us found the sauce far too salty. The waitresses were brilliant at keeping us informed about delays due to an exceptionally (and very loud) large group who were also there. They were excellent, the one bright spot in an otherwise disappointing visit.

   Traditional (limited) menu of pub food, which has generous portions. Food was tasty but a little overpriced for what you get compared to some premium restaurants around. (£4.50 for a small bowl of fries, for example). More home cooked food than chef cooked. Lovely warm fireplace and was nice and cosy. Nice clean decor and comfortable to sit - like the booths. Easy to book online.

   Table for 10. Service was excellent. Food was lovely, lots of choices and was served piping hot. Would recommend. Table was booked for 1.15 and was ready for us when we arrived.

    Good food in lovely atmosphere. Great turkey dinner, kids fish and chips. Would have given 5 star for food if lasagne hadn't been so cheesy and Brussels sprouts were with Christmas turkey as it said on menu. Also cheesecake unfortunately wasn't set right and just was like eating cream but could have been nice if not for this mistake. Well presented.

    Lovely atmosphere, clean and tidy. Our meat was very nice but the vegetables could have been cooked a bit more, and the Yorkshire pudding a little less. However the food was overall very tasty.

    Overall a good family dining experience - only criticism is that the pub was a bit cold. A fire in the fireplace would have been perfect!

    Friendly staff and I was able to have a gluten free option. Dining room has a comfortable and a relaxed feel. Very pleasant evening.

    Lovely pub and restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The food is always delicious and on Sunday the chef went out his way to make us a meal we’d seen on social media but which the waitress thought was no longer available. Will definitely be back.

    A lovely friendly pub for our one night stay with excellent food and efficient staff. The room was small but clean and recently refurbished to a really good standard. Superb breakfast!

    Quiet, pleasant atmosphere, service was quick and efficient and the serving staff were polite and helpful. The Sunday roast was very enjoyable, well cooked, with Yorkshire puddings that were huge, dessert was lovely too, with generous helpings, will definitely be back 😊

    Very helpful friendly staff. The food choices were good, well presented and full of flavour. Yes well worth the visit. Check out the chefs special, I had the mango chicken curry and that was awesome. Well impressed. 🤓🤓

    We requested a table outside as we were with a vulnerable family member. We were directed to the beer garden which was very noisy with sports TV, Friday night drinkers etc. This was despite the fact that there were tables available at the back that were much quieter. The food was fine, especially steak pie and service good.

    Staff were very pleasant and provided an excellent service. Food portions were also excellent. There was a bit of a delay between placing the order and the food being brought to the table. This should not be taken as a criticism as I suspect the delay was due to the food being freshly prepared.

    Focaccia bread starter was disappointing. Not very fresh. Salmon mains ordered but advised after we had been served our starter that it wasn't available. Ordered vegetable stroganoff but never a stroganoff sauce. Very spicy. Advised waitress and chef relayed back to our table that it wasn't a stroganoff sauce and he would make a proper one if we wanted!!!! The haggis, neeps and tatties was very good.

    Beautiful place- great decor, room was spacious and well equipped, food was delicious and the service was great! It was someone’s first day and she was so lovely and warm and helpful and even if she didn’t know the answer to something she went to find out straight away! Lovely meal and stay- will be back!

    Difficult to find fault with our lunchtime dining experience. Booking on the website was easy, and on a Tuesday probably unnecessary but we did it anyway. Our meal was simple but well prepared and presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a good lunch.

    The 1st waitress who served us was fantastic. Very polite, professional and friendly. She was very apologetic that the chef wouldn't be able to bake the next batch of baked potatoes in time. This was understandable. She handled it well. The 2 waitresses who brought our food were lovely, bubbly and chatty and read the room. When we had finished I had to ask for hot drinks. But the girl who brought our hot drinks brought the cup for the tea minus the tea I had to get up and ask for it. However they were busy with a funeral. Having worked in a hotel in hospitality its easy to make wee mistakes but it's how they are handled. We have no complaints. What made us most happy was the fact that the vegetables were fresh veg! Not the frozen rubbish a lot of places use. And there was plenty veg. My favourite part of the meal. Lots of buttered carrots that tasted like old fashioned carrots! Loads of fine Kenyan beans and plenty brocoli. All buttered but not swimming in grease. And not one bit was mushy. Neither was it so Al dente that it was raw. Delicious. Next time - no chips for me. Just double veg! Thanks Cardross Inn!
