   Lovely set lunch. Lamb cooked perfectly. Imaginative menu and great execution. The onlything we didn't like was the optional oyster. We felt the flavour of the oyster was lost in the granita. We ordered wine by the glass and the sommelier poured it without a measure. It was good wine but it felt like a mean portion. Other than that a very good meal at a good price

   Absolutely brilliant experience. We had the shorter tasting menu and loved every single course. The oyster and the dessert were both particularly exceptional. The service is first class and the chef deserves a Michelin star. One to watch for sure.

   This is my 2nd visit since Cardinal opened. I booked their 3 course tasting menu as a relaxed mid week get together for friends. We were blown away by the experience. Utterly amazing. We had the most relaxed enjoyable meal. Staff were incredibly helpful. Food was stunning. Before our starter we were served a beautiful onion soup with pine oil, followed by the most amazing brioche buns! We added the cheese course to our 3 course tasting menu. A very special evening.    Fantastic, very personable, service, including from the chef and sommelier as to the food and drink. Food such an interesting mix of flavours and textures - really appreciated every forkful. Very glad we went for the wine pairing which was really interesting and appropriate and gave us experience of wines we'd never had before. Great value for a special meal out. Would definitely recommend.

   Having eaten in great restaurants this was a brilliant surprise. Some of the best food we have ever tested and locally sourced!! Amazing. Go there if you can.

   The Cardinal tasting menu experience was a great treat. Each course was delicious and the knowledgeable staff provided information on the origination of the ingredients and overall expectations for the dish. The space is lovely and the serving ware is a fantastic added touch.

   Tucked away down a quiet street off Dundas in Edinburgh. The restaurant is lovely and understated, the service is impeccable including the execution of the meals produced. A great experience. Well worth a visit.

    Perfect virtuoso cooking and service with first class wine pairing. Not cheap but really great value in a calm and welcoming environment. Well done.
