About
Thought this was a little bit more posh / eclectic but it’s basically for if you want to grab a quick bite before the theater or to bring into theater. Food is mediocre but price point is fine for what it is. Good selection of craft beers though. Vibe is decent. Don’t really suggest unless you’re going to movies and it’s convenient. A bit disappointed bc was hoping this was going to be a good add to the Lincoln square strip of fun / cute restaurants
Love this place. It is our go to place to eat in the neighborhood. I love the flat breads, highly recommend the Green Eggs and Ham one and the Smash burger is so good. Sunday Brunch offers bottomless mimosas for $15 and their version of the Smash burger but in a breakfast burrito. Love the fries and need them with about everything I get. Staff is great and friendly, and makes you feel at home. And they usually have something on TV that I really want to see.
Carbon Arc has a great ambiance, a variety of tasty cocktails, and delicious food.
My family ate at Carbon Arc before going to a movie. We loved the pizza, hamburgers, French fries, Caesar salad and chicken wings!
Always enjoy going to Carbon Arc. Small / Good menu and great service!
Great all around for upscale bar food. Unfortunately it is very, very pricey.
Food and service were great, however after making reservations and being seated in an nearly empty dining room, we were seated directly in front of the door where people kept coming in and out letting cold air blow on us.
Great server- very prompt and attentive with everything and the food was delicious. We were the first ones there with 3 young sons. Would definitely come back. We were there 12/5/2017 at 7:30 pm.
With the movie theater attached, we smelled popcorn the whole time and the food was good but we’ve had better at other places.
Great for a meal and drink before (or during) the movies at Davis Theatre. I was shocked by the quality ingredients of the crab salad and the sophistication of the cocktails for a place connected to a movie theatre. I’ll definitely be back, even if I’m not seeing a movie. My friend had the flatbread and I was jealous.
Great pre-movie option. Good cocktails and beer list. Flatbreads are a great value for sharing, but don't sleep on the fried chicken.
What can I say about that Charcuterie Board other than I need that one in my life. This has got to be one of the best boards I have ever had. It's like they heard me praying to the Charcuterie Gods asking for a board with not only great meats, but with lovely bread. Most places I have gone to will have these small pieces of sliced bread, toasted or not. I usually end up asking for a side of just regular bread that is brought out prior to meals as I want a nice size piece of bread with my meat.
Carbon arc actually gives you a mini loaf of bread and it is hot and delicious. The selection of meats on the board were great...all were very good but the two that stood out for me were the pate and the gin & tonic sausage. Yes ladies and gentlemen, it tasted like gin & tonic. Upon my first bite, I could hear Snoop Dogg in my head singing Gin and Juice.
The size of the board is off the charts. This is the first time in the history of me ordering a board that I had to take it home and both me and my husband were eating from it. There was enough left for me to have a lovely snack on the balcony this weekend while catching up on some reading.
The Smash burger was really good. It was a special with blue cheese, apple bacon and BBQ sauce. It came with fries. My husband got the Baja Fish Tacos. There were only two served along with fries, but they were big and stuffed to the brim. The fish was a fried swai, which I was not familiar with. It had a very light texture and was flaky...not fishy. It was topped with a cantaloupe/avocado/coleslaw that was good, but a little on the spicy side for me. I did like the toppings as mixing those is not something I would have thought would work, but it did.
Stephen and two other gentlemen who were assisting with bringing out food were all amazing and attentive. Great customer service.
It wasn't very crowded on a Friday night which was fine with me. Sat in a cute circular booth, and food was yummy. I had a flatbread (which was huge) and my boyfriend had the fish tacos. Both were yummy, plus we shared the crab salad which was really good.
Inedible. I could not eat my meal it was so bad.
Just loved the food and the drinks! George was a great server! We'd come back to see him again!
My friend and I sat outside and had a nice summer dinner.
Nice environment and service although food and cocktails were okay but not great. We started with the mussels that had a really tasty broth but the mussels were small and some weren't open. The cocktails sounded interesting but lacked a lot of flavor. The dinner menu was somewhat limited so we chose burgers which was good. Overall an average dinner.
Menu is fairly limited. Better for pre- or post-movie snacks than for dinner. Cocktail, beer, and wine list were outstanding.
Food is amazing here - Loved the Chicken and Wiscuit (AKA Waffle Biscuit) and the Goat cheese flat bread WOW! PLEASE try the old fashioned it was INCREDIBLE! WELL DONE!
Carbon Arc has a really great Art Deco style decor. It has a classic, comfortable feel, but provides a lot of natural light and open space. Tables didn't feel too close together which I appreciated. I will say that there are a couple of exits to the restaurant so people were entering and exiting IMMEDIATELY next to our table. I found it a bit intrusive and wished those doors could have directed visitors to the main entrance/exit in the lobby.
The service was excellent! I did notice that the servers were dressed very casually with open-toed sandals one might go to the beach in. I think the restaurant would benefit with a little tighter dress code.
Food was delicious. I had the fish tacos, which were sizable but there were only two.
Most interesting thing about the restaurant - the mural on the wall of the lobby! You'll have fun naming your favorite move characters.
Fast, friendly and convenient to the Davis Theatre. We arrived early and were seated immediately. Our server was cognizant of our ticket times and served us appropriately. Food was good from a short menu. Enjoyed the visit.
It was surprisingly amazing food. We loved it! Get the cookie dough egg roll.
Very convenient to be able to sit and eat dinner before a movie. Then stroll straight into the cinema with no effort at all. We will certainly use both the restaurant and cinema more often because of this.
Our server was amazing kept coming by asking if everything was great. I had 3 boys with me ages 5, 8 and 10. I bet he knew that things go from excellent to worst day ever in seconds with kids those ages!!
Add this place to the list of neighborhood brunch spots!
Went for cartoons and brunch for adults as advertised on Facebook, but waitress didn't really know what the event was and there was no cartoons playing. just an ice age movie for kids.
I hesitate to say anything because I don't want this place to get crowded, but it was perfect.
The folks here do a great job, and I love the fact that so much of it is designed to be easy to transport to the Davis Theater next door. Anytime they do a specialty menu/cocktail for an event, it's worth checking out.
Fantastic restaurant, upscale grub but approachable, sexy room, great service
