   Everything and everyone was so attentive and nice throughout the evening. The valet and security were polite and helpful as was the hostess and our waiter. Everything that we ate was delicious. My favorite was the Peri Peri chicken. If you’re looking for a light flavorful dessert I’d go with the Citrus Panna Cotta, but if you prefer something more dense I’d get the S’mores tart. Aside from the main seating area they have a balcony which is prefect to take beautiful photos with downtown in the background.

   The cheese plate is to die for! Just the right amount of sweet and savory all balanced in one plate! Very good portion size as well.

    Staff was friendly, and service was fast. The food was delicious, we had the steak frites, and their salmon plate (cooked medium is how it’s served). And of course, the view was great.

    Lovely and would definitely recommend it as an "experience" to share with someone special. Note: main criticism: our entrees were not brought out at the same time so as I waited for my husband's mine got cold. I asked them to reheat mine, which they did, but my husband had almost finished eating his bu the time mine was served. They did apologize profusely and treat us to a coffee and a shared dessert.

    Fun downtown find. Loved the building and the look of the restaurant. The mushroom panini was excellent. Our second choice, the lobster roll, wasn't available so we went with shrimp tacos, which neither of us liked. We were happy with our dessert. Overall, a good experience. We'd definitely go back.

    Really nice surprise in DTLA. The restaurant is inside the Hotel Proper. Love the roof top, but it was a little chilly this time of year to sit outside. There was small inside area to sit, but it’s tiny maybe can accommodate two parties of three max. The bartender was pot on in her ability to mix different kinds of drinks. The staff was courteous and professional. You get the feeling this a neighborhood hangout for regulars. Would be a pleasant place to hangout for meetups. The food was delicious and I would say price wise not that expensive compared to other hotel restaurants in the area. I was staying at the Conrad Hilton, but food the food and atmosphere here more laid back and enjoyable. I would try a stay at the hotel, however be forewarned it’s not in the best part of town - kind of a gritty feel and I wouldn’t feel safe walking around at night.

    This place was perfect for my friend and I to enjoy lunch. It was not too crowded since we went during the week day. We shared many of the appetizers like the flatbread, fried chicken, quinoa, and tacos. Everything including the cocktails were delicious !! Great view!! I’ll be back(:

    Great Valentines at Cara Cara. Even though it was windy and chilly to be on a rooftop. But the view was amazing. Staff assisted by adding additional heaters to help fight the cold wind. The prepared Valentine dinner was delicious. Drinks on point. Fast and attentive service. Look forward to our next date at Cara Cara. Hopefully during the warm summer.

    Went there for the second time on Valentine’s Day. I liked the food the first time around so I decided to go there again. The savory dishes - appetizers and Main courses were good to great! The lamb was great, the swordfish was a little over cooked for my taste but had good flavor. The dessert was a huge disappointment. It was a chocolate and cherry filling roll. The cherry filling to chocolate cake ratio was like 4 to 1 and unfortunately the cherry filling was very bland so the dessert was tasteless calories. I gave up on it after the second bite. The price for the pre-fixe menu was a little high but it always is for V-Day. I’d go back to order a la carte, to enjoy the views and the great music selection they play but definitely not on a cold and windy day, and I’d think twice about dessert.

    Went did Valentine’s Day. Rooftop was beautiful but freezing! Not anyone’s fault, and the wait staff was super friendly. It was a pre fixe menu, but the courses were very few, small, and the drinks were very overpriced. All said and done we ended up dropping way more than we wanted to.

    Went for a Valentine's date. Their set menu was a fun experience. Food was delicious and the staff accommodated our requests. Thr evening view of downtown LA skyscrape was special. Just as FYI, the bathroom is located on the 2nd floor.
