Mixed reviews about service, but understanding the current labor service it’s challenging for many in the hospitality & food business. It’s truly was a pleasant surprise. Food was fresh & delicious. Compared to other LA roof tops like the Perch, we really liked the Cara Cara better for its intimacy and cozy feel. We will definitely be back!
Great views service was great parking was tough
Beautiful place beautiful view food is good service was just ok waitresses not really smiling or trying to talk to you
Views great. Food average . Service was definitely lacking - basically a ‘what do you want to order’ approach. Pushed the bill on us after our dinner plates were cleared. We wanted to order another round of drinks and desert which seemed to annoy him. He then brought our desert along with the check. We were not at the table more than 90 minutes but they seemed to be eagerly waiting for us to leave. Also had to ask multiple times and multiple people for water refills throughout dinner. Would come back for drinks and the view but definitely it for dinner.
They denied us a table after I messaged them to ask to please hold it as we had been in 1 hour 45 minutes traffic. Very rude
The location is lovely. The night was a bit cool and despite heaters it was a bit uncomfortable but the view was priceless.
Service is attentive and fast.
Food is good and reasonably priced.
Great food, great ambiance, wonderful food. Small menu.
I was looking for some new flavors. The food was good, I was just hoping to find some new flavors and innovative twists. The views are absolutely spectacular. Our server was good.
Ambiance, especially the rooftop views, were exceptional. Service was good. Drinks and food were good, also. High price point appropriate for a special occasion.
Such a great view. High powered heating lamps 👍 food was very good: tried the chickpea fritters and steak frites
The setting was beautiful and romantic. The food was not impressive. The seafood rice wasn’t fresh and tasted very fishy and old. The steak was not cooked well and didn’t have flavor. The dessert had a chewy layer on top of it from sitting around too long. No well-known chef would have allowed the dishes to go out like that. The service was ok…lots of young servers who aren’t very sophisticated or well versed in customer service.
Really love the ambience here. Great views and outside lounge on the PH rooftop. Food menu and specialty cocktails were limited. I would go back though for appetizers and drinks to enjoy the views.
Excellent views, service and food makes this a check on your to do list.
BEST VIEW IN DOWNTOWN IMO
The servers were amazing! Would definitely come back again
Super cool place, very stylish and food was so delicious 🔥
Had a great overall experience!
The dish that’s like a small paella was very undercooked, rice was hard and shrimp was shockingly mushy, we returned it. All 3 of us didn’t like most of what we ordered (staff recommendations). We went for the “new” rooftop restaurant, but I probably would solely return for the view and try a cocktail that we didn’t this time, hopefully it’s better than the food.
The cucumber gimlet is the best drink here. The ambiance is very nice. The view is absolutely to die for.
Spectacular setting. Fabulous food. Exceptional service
Great Date night and beautiful view on the LA City. If you are looking for a quick and nice place to view LA at night is a must at Cara Cara.
Loved the food, cocktails, vibe and view! Service was friendly and attentive.
They were so short staffed but the 2 servers were doing their best. Tip well folks! Especially now!
Great food, great service.
The ambiance was amazing and the staff was awesome and super friendly. I had the winter squash gratin and it was so delicious. I am definitely coming back soon!
Service was awful. Took twenty minutes to get drinks. Got the market fish, French fries, and the mushroom focaccia. There was barely any ketchup or aioli with the fries. The focaccia was flavorless and burnt around the edges. The market fish was the least bland thing but still was not great. Also very conservative on water refills and after asking for more water it took forever to get it. The ambiance is great and it has such a good view, but if I were to go back it would only be for drinks and to show people the view.
This place was amazing, the food was great and that atmosphere was superb. The view of the city is breathtaking..
Gorgeous view, incredible service, delicious food. I went by myself and had a wonderful time and look forward to going with other people in the near future. I also appreciate the list of non-alcoholic mocktails.
this will soon become everyone’s favorite local hang. the ambiance is unbeatable, the food over delivers and the drinks are infectious. A MUST.
The food was yummy ... all dishes to share. The staff welcoming and friendly, and the view spectacular.
One of my favorite rooftops in DTLA. Beautiful view! Lots of heat lamps so comfortable even in winter. Food was perfectly cooked and delicious even though some meals were not described well. Their focaccia is basically a pizza- just call it a flatbread instead to avoid confusion. Also not worth the cost. The server made us feel terrible, constantly leaving before we could ask questions or even order more food. I had to flag him down to order drinks. Seems like the other servers had a better idea of what they were doing so if we could guarantee to never have him again I would go back.
Great service and great location! Staff was amazing from the curb crew to the lobby woman to the roof top staff! We will definitely be back !
Portion sizes are small and prices are a bit high, but the atmosphere is great as well as the service so I would still go back!
The food isnt great and overpriced. Small potions. The drinks are great but also 15-19 for a cocktail. The view is the best part and the staff is friendly.
The presentation of dishes reminded me a bit of Spanish-style tapas.
The french fries were out of the world! We also enjoyed the pomegranate and pear salad, white mushroom foccacia, and shrimp taco. Love the ambience of the rooftop decor and pool tying in the DTLA skyline. Great music and service, too!
I was very disappointed with the food quality :( The only edible thing were the french fries.
Javier, our wonderful server, made our experience wonderful. I would like to add that our initial experience with the hostess was rather awkward. She wanted to wedge us within inches between 2 parties. When we asked to move she seemed rather annoyed. Given the state of the pandemic, I think there needs be improvement on how people are spaced and allocated. I saw different areas that had virtually no other guests, yet it seemed guests were seated closely to each other.
booking of 5 people in new years eve.
the restaurant only served food for 3 people. And they say this was their way.
Clients leave after paying 155 usd for nothing. They didnt spent NYE there.
Too dissapointing and too expensive
not recommended. not good value for the money.
Went for a Christmas dinner. Server was sweet and attentive. Food was good but could be a little better. However, you go there mainly for the view. Would absolutely come back! Bartender was also very sweet when we asked him to take a few pics.
