   Breaks my heart to hear Caputo's was closing after just 6 months. It was such a great addition to our neighborhood. Hope they reconsider.

   This was second visit to this restaurant. First visit was excellent, and there was a special 3-course offering. On that visit, the menu included a mediterranean sea bass that was fabulous. It was cooked perfectly with great flavorings. On this visit, I was in the mood for fish and was hoping to see at least one selection that included fresh fish so was disappointed not see it. I asked about any specials and none were offered on a Friday night, which was also disappointing. I ended up having the short rib off the menu this time. While the short rib was cooked well and had an overall good flavor, my only complaint would be that I would have like just a tad more sauce included in the dish. The sauce was very tasty and added some moisture to the dish, which was served with polenta base but there was only a small dollop. I found myself savoring for more sauce to finish the dish.

   Food is great, service is excellent, ambience is comfortable, and the price is reasonable. Caputo is an superb addition to South Beach!

   Our dinner at Caputo was truly enjoyable because of the great service, good food, and wonderful ambiance. I had the chicken -- terrific! My two dining partners each had salads and shared a pizza, and they were very pleased. I'm so glad Caputo has moved in to our neighborhood!

    If you want marinara and lasagna, this is not the place. Very unique food, and very good. Great wine (especially the Chianti ) had a chicken dish that was great.
