    Attentive service, excellent food from apps (mushroom flatbread)to dessert (peach cobbler and lava cake). Nice touch from the bar as well making my husband a customized drink. Great experience!!

    While our steak was okay, the catch of the day, at $28, was a long cube cut from a fish, then topped with the advertised topping and serious ly overcooked. The braised spinach had lots of minced garlic and the rice would have been at home in any cafeteria. The menu provided almost no information about the wines. Just disappointed overall.

    As a former owner of multiple restaurants , I highly recommend The Captains Table Restaurant. Food & service is excellent . The menu provides a large selection of appetizers & main courses . Alcoholic selections are very interesting & varied. We will be back.

    Excellent lobster dinner Piano player played our request he’s very good Resturant was noisy at time but it is Bike week and bar was bustling! Was our 50th anniversary so special all around Waitress Lynn was very nice and attentive

    Better than average food and atmosphere right on the boardwalk. Nothing spectacular or innovative, but the restaurant produces solid American-Traditional cuisine: decently sized menu with limited sides based on seasonal vegetables and starch. The piano, beach-side view, and decor further emphasize the semi-upscale ambiance, while the location and prices remind you that wearing a t-shirt and shorts is perfectly okay. Would recommend to anyone looking for classic Maryland dishes at an above average location.

    Best scallops and best Oysters Rockefeller ever. In fact it was one of the few places that had Rockefeller on the regular menu.

    My husband and I enjoyed a very nice dinner. We were happy to find a restaurant with seafood and an upscale, quiet, business casual atmosphere. Recommend for adult dining. Not a casual family place.

    Wide range of seafood, chicken, and beef, all prepared in an excellent manner. The staff is courteous, friendly, and professional. The "catch of the day" could not get any fresher. Mike, the New Owner introduced himself to my wife and me, and we have nothing to say but positive comments about his management and professionalism. Our server, Dee is a true asset to this restaurant and wants you to keep coming back, which my Wife and I have been doing for the past ten-plus years. I would highly recommend The Captains Table for a relaxing and enjoyable time.

    The calamari appetizer was good. My husband had the spaghetti special, and he thought it was 'OK'. I was so disappointed in the Scallops & Risotto dish that I had ordered. The scallops were supposed to be seared (think crispy, browned, HOT), but they tasted like they'd been boiled instead. The risotto was sticky, not creamy, and way too much garlic - I couldn't event taste the lemon. And to top it off my dish was barely warm. We also felt very rushed through the meal. I had really been looking forward to dinner at Captain's Table, too.

    This was our first time to try Captains Table … we were pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. Everything we ordered was great. Kung po cauliflower Lobster fried rice New York strip Rib eye steak Crab cake And the desserts were awesome. The ambiance is a little iffy … it does need some updating but the food makes up for it and piano music during dinner is very nice, I do recommend Captains Table and I’m pretty picky 😜

    Very nice place next to boardwalk to have a quiet meal with excellent meal. Terrific risotto with scallops or shrimp. Add key lime pie for desert and it would be almost perfect. 😊

    We ate at Captain’s table for breakfast and lunch several days during our stay in Ocean City. The food was amazing. The menu was varied, the portions ample and the food was delicious. What made it really special was our server Dee who we had several times. She was professional, personable and gave us great suggestions about the menu and local Ocean City events. We already told Dee that we’d be back next year to see her and enjoy this lovely restaurant again.

    Our food was outstanding but we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the outstanding service by our waitress Abigail she is an excellent employee and truly a great asset to this establishment. Her attention to our dining requests and explanations of the menu not only to us but fellow guests was above and beyond everyone’s expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant and if your lucky you may have Abigail as your waitress

    We had the perfect evening at Captains Table. The ambience was wonderful, they had a piano playing in the background for our entire dinner. Our waitress was phenomenal, she provided great recommendations for food. Our food was absolutely amazing. We had the surf n turf which I highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back to ocean city so I can eat at captains table.

    So we were hoping for a nice dinner out. So I made a reservation. I want to say up front that our waitress was great. But the chef / kitchen were the ones responsible for ruining our dining experience & why we left. My guest ordered the pan seared salmon (which was fine) and I made the mistake of ordering the $43 lobster dish which claimed to be 1 & 1/4 lbs of shucked lobster. What came out was maybe 1/2 lb. of lobster (the size of 2 shrimps) and still in the shells 👎 I gave the kitchen the opportunity to make it right but they opted not to. So I paid for our drinks & my guest’s salmon & we left. VERY frustrating & disappointing. I worked in the food service industry for years. That was ridiculous. Shame on you chef. Not ok. Could have been amazing if you wanted to do the right thing by your customers vs. get over on them.

    Just a few examples that capture our entire experience: Service: The waiter asked us for our drink order. My two kids asked for Shirley Temples; he left without taking an order from my wife and me. He brought the kids’ drinks, and my wife asked for a drink (he did not ask her what she wanted; she had to tell him); he said OK then began to walk away… again without asking me for an order… as he was walking away, I told him what I would like to have. Never have I had such an incredibly out of touch server - blame the server or blame poor training- I don’t know. Taking of our order: We had waited a while after getting our drink order before being able to place an order for food. (For reference “a while” means that our drinks were almost done, and by the way, you have no bread or anything else… we were informed that bread is served when you get your appetizer). Back to the point, when our waiter finally came back, my son started to order; he ordered both the appetizer and the entree, but he was stopped. You can’t order an appetizer at the same time as an entree??? We received our appetizers, which were good (I won’t be totally negative), and then ordered our entrees, since this is the way that they operate. My kids ordered lobster; my wife ordered the scallops with risotto; I wanted the fish of the day. They offered swordfish. I have ordered and I have cooked lots of swordfish, so I was explicit with the waiter about not overcooking the fish; he assured me that would not happen. Food: Appetizers good. Lobster well done (not as in they did a good job but rather overcooked). Scallops well done (same comment). Swordfish inedible… I sent that back immediately and I did not order anything else… at that point, it was clear that the chefs were incompetent. Management: The man came to our table and was very pleasant, but there was nothing he could do to compensate; he comp’d the fish and I asked for no more; while we did not enjoy the meal, our dog loved it.

    We ate at Captains table last night, there were 4 of us celebrating our wedding anniversary. Our server was so thoughtful and attentive. A chef/manager came out and spoke with us about the specials and also about the history of the restaurant. We had a wonderful evening. We were relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate and drank. All four of us had the seafood special. It was excellent. We love Captains Table and we will definitely go back again, especially for our special occasions.

    Our waitress was super nice but our order was lost so it look over an hour to get our entrees. Thought the restaurant was high end but it is just a restaurant in an hotel. Food was ok - nothing special. Wanted a special place to entertain guests and it was just pretty mediocre. Sadly.

    As always the seafood at the Captain’s Table is always good. The Lobster stir fry was nice and spicy. Service was good as well, but you should have a reservation. The place does fill up.

    The food was exceptional. Our dinner began with oysters Rockefeller which were delicious. For my main course I had the colossal lobster tail, tender and tasty with green beans and spinach which were cooked perfectly. My wife had the fried shrimp, another great dish, and for dessert the crème brûlée was amazing! Our server Jimmy and his partner at the bar(didn’t catch her name) never left us unattended. Can’t wait to go back and try the tomahawk. Oh I almost forgot, the piano player played nonstop and great tunes!

    Our first time here. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. My husband got lobster and I got fish. He said it was his best meal he had on our trip. We also got the coffee cre'me brulee. Yummmm.

    Wonderful restaurant with delicious food. We had oysters Rockefeller and kung pao cauliflower. Both were yummy. Our server Lin was friendly and spot on . I had the pork chop which was huge and you had a choice of veggie and starch. I drank a raspberry vodka lemonade and it was refreshing. My hubby had fried shrimp -8 on the platter with veggie and mashed potatoes . They recognized it was our anniversary and the chef came out to talk with us and others. Highly recommend. I will return for sure
