   This has become a special place for my wife and I to enjoy really good food on Whidbey Island. The Penang curry style salmon and the steak were both very good, paired with some local wine and beer. The deserts (carrot cake and pannacotta) were a delight as we watched the colors change in the sunset view.

   They were able to accommodate us getting there a little early. The food was amazing! The ingredients they source our top-notch. Service was fabulous. I can’t wait to go back. There was so many things on the menu. I wanted to try for breakfast!

   It was our 30th anniversary and everyone was so nice and made us feel special. I had an amazing cocktail pre dinner. The meal was excellent, tasty and done just right. It was a great experience.

   Was here two years ago and the food was fine but not special. Now, there’s been a step up. A big one. Incredibly good. Great PNW elements have been incorporated with truly beautiful presentations. Angel, our server was knowledgeable and delightful. Monday night and still busy. Great atmosphere looking over Penn Cove.

   We absolutely loved our experience at the wine dinner tonight. We will be back, as we are locals. We appreciate that they accommodated our dietary requirements as a vegetarian and pescatarian. Beautiful table setting, delectable food and of course delicious wine.

    We had a lovely dinner at Captain Whidbey Inn. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Our waitress was manning the bar in addition to waiting tables, so she seemed a little stretched thin. We enjoyed the Dungeness crab pasta (though hoped it would have contained a bit more crab for the price), the burgers - delicious!, and the short ribs. A nice surprise and thoughtful touch was the invitation for our family to roast s'mores by the outdoor fire following dinner. We have been wanting to experience the charm of Captain Whidbey for a while now and were grateful for the chance to enjoy a cozy dinner in this space filled with warmth and character.
