   The food quality and presentation were excellent. The service was very good. The dining room did lack atmosphere - very grey and sterile, although the seating was comfortable.

   Very poor experience unfortunately. Took 30mins before drinks arrived and left one hour 20mins after arriving as even the starters had not arrived. Very poor and minimal vegetarian options despite being told on the phone that there were many options across their 3 menus. Very odd selection of dishes with cottage cheese and goats cheese which at the best of times are not popular cheeses.

   I Tried the Tandoori Salmon! It was amazing one of the best Indian menu is only served at the Caprice Restaurant! If you are visiting there do try their authentic Indian Dishes !

    The worst meal I've had in 5 years. Really bad, I have no idea how this place has won awards. Our waiter was awful as well, it took 20 minutes to get our drinks at the start and my girlfriend received a cocktail with lipstip marks on the glass. They then got the bill wrong and tried to charge us for more items than we ordered.

    As it was lunchtime the restaurant and guys at front of hse etc appeared not to be switched on Im guessing they don’t normally do Many covers for Lunch . It was like they were in shock that I was there Shame

    Starter and dessert was good. Steak was very poor quality meat, incredibly chewy and gristly. Menu also different standard to that shown on website.

    Modern, atmospheric restaurant and good service. Although we were the only table. The menu was not as listed on opentable and was a standard gastro-pub menu at upmarket central London prices (£18 for shepherd's pie). I would not consider eating here again.

    The food available was nice and tasty, but for the prices the portion sizes for all courses were very small. The vegetarian & vegan options were limited, and the burger option listed on the menu, the restaurant had completely ran out of, which meant there was one vegan main option or a vegan salad! I understand things run out but we specifically booked because it was a recommended vegetarian/vegan options restaurant. We had also left a note on the booking we would need vegetarian and vegan options, this is why it was disappointing when you see there was a very limited choice.

    This was without doubt the worst lunch experience I have had for a long time. We were a party of 9 in an empty restaurant and yet the service was just terrible, the food so salty (and I like salt). I had to ask the 8 staff who were doing nothing several times to chase our food, bring menus etc. their knowledge of how to serve food was awful - passing drinks over a babies head, asking us to pass them our plates and generally just being useless. I now understand why they were the only place in a 20 miles radius with tables free on a Sunday. Save your money and don’t eat here

    Table as requested, good choice of options on both set menu and a la carte menu. Food well presented and tasted as good as it looked. Attentive service, without being intrusive. Birthday meal acknowledged with Happy Birthday plate and cake from kitchen. Overall a good dining experience.

    There was a conference / charity ball going on same night so we were asked to pre-order dinner. There were 9 of us in the end. So ,ok. Waited and waited, soup was cold and vingery ,the waiter as he had put name places out so they knew what everyone was having then proceed to talk to us on first name turns as friends which was overly friendly and inappropriate . Fortunately l chose from the Indian menu and enjoyed my meal but over half my guests had the soup.

    The food was excellent and the set menu was very good value. The service was a little slow - we had to wait quite a while between courses, but overall a very pleasant evening with friends.

    (1) Excellence in the service received from the gentleman who dealt with our order. (2) Although 6 years old, the location felt very 'new'. (3) Scallops were superbly prepared. (4) A la Carte menu has some lovely choices and the presentation of my meal was extremely well done..very polished. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time of our booking [3pm Sunday afternoon] so it it difficult to say if the overall standard presented, is delivered consistently. There are three menu options to choose from so multi budgets catered for comfortably - it was a challenge choosing a meal selection based on the inviting options available within each. Meal for two of a starter and a main with juice and bottle of water [no alcohol] was £65.

    Fathers day lunch. Excellent staff, very attentive. We had not realised we could have had a different menu in the bar, which looked fabulous. Veg were too aldente for my husbands personal taste. But beautiful cooked roast beef,pork and risotto.

    Have dined here before and had great food and excellent service. Today was for Mothers Day lunch and food was only average and service slow, there was plenty of staff but they kept disappearing ! Shame because I chose this restaurant because of previous experiences.

    We enjoyed our anniversary meal; it was the first time we had visited Caprice. We had the belly pork which was delicious! Next time we'd like to try the curry menu - people near us had it and it smelt wonderful. Our only problem with the menu was that several of the cheeses were not available, but only found out when we tried to order. Staff friendly and attentive. The restaurant is modern open and clean. If it had been completely full it may have been uncomfortable to have people sitting at next-door tables as they were placed so close. It wasn't packed fortunately (but busy enough for atmosphere).

    Staff were very polite however service was on the slow side. The couple next to us decided to leave after managing to eat their starters and drink most of a bottle of wine due to the slow service. The food was very good however when it came to the desserts we were told that one of the main desserts on the special menu for the day were not available! After pre-booking the evening a good month in advance that is not what I expected. Overall the food was good but service was slow.

    Caprice is a business restaurant located at the Holiday Inn in Winnersh Triangle. That said is has an underground car park with lift access to reception and the restaurant. All of the courses that we ordered from the a la carte were delicious especially the mushroom ravioli and pork done 3 ways. Service was friendly and efficient. Will re-visit. The only criticism is that the prices are 20% higher than I would normally pay.

    Caprice Restaurant, Holiday inn Winnersh. The ambiance was helped by a rather good pianist in what is a standard hotel dining room. The wine selection is good and reasonably priced. The scallops were cooked perfectly but the starter was spoiled by the excessive use of chilies in the accompanying salad masking the subtle taste of the scallops. The steaks were very good, moist and flavourful (I asked for medium and as expected received medium rare which is what I wanted) as usual I would have liked more vegetables. The deserts were tasty and well presented and the meal was rounded off with good coffee and some petit fours. My only other comment would be that the maitre d' should have had a quiet word with four diners were excessively noisy.

    We had dinner here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Excellent quality delicious food, good value set menu and interesting A la Carte choices. Great to see good local cheeses featured, even in the set menu. Ambience very good, with live piano in the background filtering through from adjacent bar. Service good, but at times a little more rushed than we would have chosen for this occasion. Definitely recommended.

    Excellent service - timely and efficient. The food is generally good (we have now been twice when we have stayed here) plus it is a really convenient venue for meeting with friends. It's location and accessibility are a real winner. Only complaint with the food was that the spinach (came with plaice) was somewhat stringy - they should use leaf beet instead; much more edible. Wine list is comprehensive and sensibly priced and the menus offer more than adequate choice. A useful addition to the local scene. We will go again and that's the real measure.
