The food was good but not hot. The table seating was not handled well- our friends were at another table for 30 minutes until we found them. The wait for our food was very long- admittedly it was the Saturday after Valentines day and they were very busy with large parties. We have been there a few times and I think this is a unique letdown. We will go back!
Good Italian. Nice atmosphere. Reminds me of places in Northeast.
Very friendly waiters
Would go again
Great Valentine's Day dinner spot! Romantic and delicious.
We went on Valentines Day, which was also our anniversary. First, I should have done a better job at vetting this place. One big issue that you should know, is that there is no bar, only wine and beer! There were not specials for the evening. The waiter had no experience opening a bottle of Prosecco because they don’t sell that much there. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It was cold. The shrimp scampi was very tasty, but it’s “peel your own”! My husband got the white fish, which he said was ok. Clearly this is a good everyday place to come, but not for a special occasion!
The reason I gave it 3 stars is because I should have known better.
Excellent, warm attention. Delicious food, including the tiramisu.
Nice atmosphere, great food and service, decent prices.
Fantastic, authentic Italian food in Raleigh!!!! Fun vibe and the food is really outstanding! I feel like I am in a Cafe in Italy. Dino and his team are so warm, friendly, sincere and gracious. We love Capri - weeknight dinner or a special occasion - perfect every time and so fun and relaxing!
The food was amazing! Will be going back very soon!
Great service and wonderful shrimp scampi.
As close to authentic Italian as you can get in Raleigh. Buon Appetito
Wonderful meal as always! Doesn’t get more Italian than Capri.
Excellent authentic Italian food and supreme service which is hard to find with a large group. Would recommend for a quiet "date night" or a night out with several friends.
The food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere welcoming and warm. I love Capri! If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine, this is the place to go in Raleigh. We had a group of 8- everyone's order was different and we were all thrilled with our meals. In face, the group has decided that this is our new go to for our group.
Friends introduced me to Cappri in August and I could not wait to treat family members to a meal there. My son-in-law is usually very hard to please and has put it n his list of places to which he would like to return.
Food was delicious- had the seafood ravioli and salmon piccata. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
So sad. Place was empty on a Friday night. Very disappointed with the marinara sauce, tasted like it was from a jar of ragu, was very bland. Needless to say, we will not be back.
Great Italian family restaurant
This is a nice date place, good ambiance . The service was nice but only three stars because I didn’t care at all for what I ordered and I got the feeling they were incensed. Didn’t ask if I’d like to try something else even though I barely touched what I had. It just wasn’t good. However, everyone else in my part enjoyed their meal. I just recommend avoiding the seafood ravioli. Also, very limited wine menu and no mixed drinks.
strange place. I don't recommend, food was just okay.
One of the best Italian meals we have had in a while.
Celebrating my Birthday at this wonderful restaurant. Food and service are always impeccable. Gino and Giuseppe make you feel line family. Wouldn’t think of celebrating anywhere else!
This place has been a fave of ours for twenty years!
Good Italian restaurant. Portions are small but tasted good
Shrimp scampi was really good. Lasagna was good though not hot all the way through. Only serves beer and wine.
Best Italian food in Raleigh! Wonderful staff, great service. Our absolute favorite.
Authentic Italian food...delicious. Intimate and like dining in someone’s Italian home. It’s one of our favorite restaurants.
Delicious as always. Dino walked our guests through the menu and provided an exceptional experience.
Capri is a sweet place tucked away in a strip center.
The food was average the night we dined and the service was nonchalant. My husband, who rarely says anything about the service commented that the waiter seemed a bit “surly.” I think it may have been an off night.
I ordered the linguini with pesto and shrimp. It was good; however, the pesto made it very dry. I and one of the other group ordered it and decided to pour some olive oil over it to lubricate the pasta.
The food was good and the server was accommodating. Our food was very SLOW in coming. This was our first time there so don’t know if the slow service is typical.
We dined at the restaurant for the first time based on Trip Advisors review. It is tucked away in the corner of a strip shopping center near a Fresh Market. It was a little difficult to find for someone not familiar with the area. It is not the type of Italian where pizza and spaghetti and meatballs are featured but there is a large selection of meat, fish and poultry dishes. I ordered the caprese salad. The fresh mozzarella cheese was exceptional but the tomatoes were not quite ripe. My wife ordered salmon picata which was delicious - prepared medium as ordered and served hot. I ordered the veal Sinatra with green beans and artichokes. The green beans were crisp and tasty. The veal was breaded and sliced with a nice sauce. Service was prompt. Salads and entrees were delivered quickly.
This was a perfect date night, great wine, great service (the specials were all spoken to us with no reading or confusion), the antipasti was perfect and fresh, the meal was hot and the shrimp on my scampi was definitely LARGE gulf shrimp, my girlfriends cheese ravioli was most likely homemade and she raved about it too. We finished it off with a gelato and a cappuccino, oh and the Chianti was perfect (even with the white sauce). Our waiter and waitress (in training is my guess) were excellent. This is going to be a regular special date night restaurant for us.
There were 4 of us and 3 of felt like the food was mediocre. It was early in the evening and they were not busy, yet our food wasn’t very hot. Not interested in returning.
Lovely dinner with friends in a quiet venue with excellent food.
Capri is one of our favorite restaurants in Raleigh. The food and service are wonderful!
I’ve been going to Capri for years. It’s a hidden nugget of gold not in an obvious restaurant area. The dishes are tasty with traditional as well as creative twists. The restaurant does not seat a large number of guests with a more quaint interior, which I prefer. I’m looking forward to my next outing to Capri!
The Food was very good, the ambiance was very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and attentive to my tables need. I would definitely return to have a romantic dinner with my husband.
Capri is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff members make you feel like family. The food is always wonderful and portions are plentiful. There are few places we would rather eat; maybe Italy?
