Excellent! Service was great, food even better. Great patio. Definitely going back!
Awesome service, drinks, food and environment. Our new favorite location.
We had a great first time trip to Capri! The server was awesome, great at making suggestions, and totally pleasant. The manager, Aaron, took time to talk to us about the menu, specials, our trip, and more! We would recommend and will be back!
Pleasant and lively surroundings
This is my go to Italian restaurant in Indianapolis and the surrounding area. I have never been disappointed!
Great food and service!
If you want an outstanding place of ambiance to enjoy great food and conversation (because it is quiet), this is it!
Wonderfully warm setting for our Mother's Day dinner on a rainy chilly day! For our party of six, the service was excellent, food was delicious, and the setting was the perfect combination of formal and comfortable. Grazie!
Everything was top notch, starting with the seating by the hostess, water service, waiter, drinks and food. We were not disappointed in any way.
We have been big fans of Capri for a long time and went there this weekend, in large part, because it is quiet. Unfortunately, they decided to have a prom event in the back room which had extremely loud music with thumping bass blasting through the wall. We could hardly even have a conversation and my father who is hard of hearing was completely isolated. Additionally, the food was "pretty good" but not the quality that we expect from this restaurant.
New management of this long standing restaurant. Very good food of the Italian variety. Service very good. We will return.
Met all of our expectations, excellent food and service!
Drove over 30 minutes to reach Capri on a Monday evening for a Birthday dinner. We were directed into the bar area which was already somewhat crowded at 6:30 PM; the larger and quieter dining room area to the left was almost empty. We were seated at "not the best" table, but not bad enough to complain. The room had a huge bar and was dark with leather seats. Most of the patrons appeared to be in their 70s! That's OK, it was Monday! Service was a bit pushy and delivery quick. Wine and calamari were good, then salads were quite limp. Two pasta dishes were good, but a bit over-priced @ $22. There was no ceremonial birthday dessert, but good wishes were expressed. That's OK! On a grade scale, I would give Capri a "B" only because the pastas were quite tasty. However IMHO, this place is not a "wow", certainly not a significant drive for a Birthday or other event, at least from our point of view.
Passed the Bar exam
We enjoyed our dinner at Capri. Great service and food.
Great meal, service, and atmosphere!
We joined friends for a wonderful dinner and experienced great care by the wait staff. The food was excellent. We tried the specials - duck and pasta special and chicken marsala and everyone loved their dinner. We could easily talk and catch up and never felt rushed. We will be back again very soon.
Always a dependable escape for a romantic evening with great food and friendly service.
Our waiter was wonderful.
Nice place to have a relatively quiet dinner. Service was attentive but not overly pushy. Food not quite as good as it used to be.
Capri is my "local" restaurant, so I am there fairly often. It always satisfies.
Always consistent and wonderful at Capri--do wonder why you sat literally everyone in the bar and the dining room did not have a single table occupied?--my reservation specifically said QUIET table-so i am seated in the midst of the crowd?--and young hostess was trying hard to her credit, but really needs to stop chewing gum on duty--not a good look guys.
Always a favorite.
Excellent expuierence, drinks, foodv & desert perfect. We will be back for more in the future.
This is a gem with wonderful food, old world ambiance and terrific service. We will be back!
We loved the food and the service was good.
I love the Capri. Consistently excellent in all ways.
The food is always good. The service is fantastic. Servers allow friends to enjoy cocktails leisurely before asking about dinner orders.
Gnocchi and tortelloni were delicious as well as the spaghetti from the special menu. We enjoyed our wine selections too.
Yum! Went to celebrate a birthday
Capri is a wonderful date night restaurant. We enjoyed every minute of our meal and David was an exceptional server who took great care of us!
I consider Capri one of my favorite places to dine. I have never had anything but outstanding service and great food at every visit.
I prefer the bar seating but the dining room is nice as well.
Probably one of our favorite Indy restaurants that only the locals and foodies know about. Since it's off the beaten path and not visible from Keystone Ave, many drive right past it on the way to Broad Ripple or Keystone Crossing. My recommendation is "don't do that!" The wood fire in the fireplace, low music, dimly lit bar area is our "go to" on date night. You never know who you'll be rubbing elbows with, most likely some of the Indy "blue bloods" from the Meridian Kessler area.
Capri is our favorite Indianapolis Italian restaurant and dinner today did not disappoint. Had an early reservation at 6P and the hostess led us to a seat in the bar area where there were already a few customers. The bar area has several TV’s and is generally noisier than the larger main restaurant. We requested seating in the main dining room and were quickly accommodated. Even though we were the only table in that section, the server made us feel welcome and was friendly the whole evening. Home made pasta is their specialty but tonight I tried the spare rib special which was very tender with a tasty sauce. Wife had the fettuccine with shrimp in white sauce and loved it. Dessert was a good cheesecake and an excellent authentic Italian cappuccino. The whole time we had the main dining room to ourselves, like a private room. Tuesday was a great day to dine at Capri!
Elina was our server. She was very attentive and helpful. Aaron spoke with us a couple times and was excellent. We were all interested in the Capri history. The food was excellent. We came for an Italian dinner and it was everything we expected, from ambiance to service to wonderful food, we could not have asked for more.
We ordered the Spaghetti and Bolognese and our friends ordered the Lasagna. If we hadn’t split the spaghetti, we would have to taken some home. The lasagna was too much for our friends so they each took home half of their order. The bread was excellent as well. Gotta stop eating so much of that!
All in all an excellent dining experience. We will definitely be back for more.
The veal piccata was beyond outstanding tonight.
Had not been to the Capri in many years but they did not disappoint. I would recommend if you go during the cooler months to request a table by the fireplace. It really adds to ambiance and it is just cozy. Great food, our server was awesome. Just all around great evening. We will be back a little more often.
My wife is so in love with this place , celebrated our 20 year anniversary here and it was most appropriate for the occasion
Some of the very best Italian food in Indianapolis. The service is always exceptional and the atmosphere is similar to the Italian Village in Chicago, rather than what one would expect in Indy.
Don't let the location (a strip mall is across the street) put you off. Once you drive through the gates of Capri, the whole experience is wonderful.
