The food is always wonderful. Very good Italian food. Love the pasta, the fish, the salads and the wonderful bread. I prefer the lunch to the dinner as it is less crowded and less noisy.
What can I say about Caprese Trattoria...it was Not Bad nor Great...just OK.
The restaurant is very pretty, the service was OK, the taste of the food was OK. I thought the food lacked salt...nothing like a pinch of salt to liven up the flavors.
I think for the money, it should of been Great!
I don't mind spending money on expensive dinners, but in this case, you can get the same or probably better at Carrabba's Italian Grill for a lot less.
We decided to stay in Longmont to celebrate our 28th anniversary, that way we could have a drink and not worry about the commute to either Boulder or Denver. We chose Caprese Trattoria as we have enjoyed great meals there before. We requested a 6pm reservation on Open Table, and when we arrived promptly at 6pm, the restaurant was full, no tables available. the hostess was useless. the owner came over to see what he could do. A 4 top left, he split it up into two 2 tops. After 15 minutes, he motioned us over to a new 2 top, and it was right at the entrance to the bathrooms. I don't do bathrooms, especially on our wedding anniversary. He dragged another 2 top over to the south side of the restaurant, which was in everyone's way, and we reluctantly decided to take the table. No Happy Anniversary, no anniversary dessert which is served in upper end restaurants for a special occasion.
This restaurant is for the rank and file desiring good Italian in large portions. We will make the effort and Uber to Boulder from now on for all special occasions, it will be worth it.
Always delicious! Consistently good food and lots of choices. Interesting specials daily. Lively and loud. Best Italian in the area for sure.
Our first time visit was a success. Liam, our server, was excellent. Our calamari, grilled salmon, everything was tasty. Not exactly high end Italian, but really satisfying. And I love getting a break from the Boulder prices for a night. Great value! We can't wait to come back.
Very good food and service. There were some pesky flies. But wonderful experience.
Great service/ food was delicious- love the bread!! Ver tasty
The food here is great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. My first glass of Pinot Grigio had a film floating on the top. The second glass did as well. The third glass of red wine (on the house) was fine. My tortellini was excellent a d my wife’s cannelloni was as well. This was our second visit to this restaurant and we will come back when we are craving good Italian food.
We stopped by after a gymnastics meet with 5 of us at 8:30 PM. The menu has variety, lots of vegetarian options, and the food was really Delicious. The server was attentive and kind.
Great service, great atmosphere, and AMAZING food! Highly recommend.
I really like this place and will return. That said the recent visit was disappointing compared to other times. Service very slow and entree was not consistent with prior time. Seems like drink orders take forever too. Hope things were just off that one night as it was very crowded.
Friends from Seattle absolutely loved the food and openness of the restaurant.
Menu did not match cocktail and bartenders quite rude thing that they change the recipe and that’s just the way it is. Very poor customer service. Waiter was pleasant but you could see he was uncomfortable with the situation. Neglected to fill our water glasses
The pizza was excellent! The bread and dipping sauce were amazing!! Our server, Marcus, was very attentive and personable. We were in town for the weekend and enjoyed being able to walk over from our hotel to the restaurant and enjoy a leisurely dinner.
Overall excellent service and wonderful food. Everyone in the restaurant made sure my out of town relatives felt at home. Thank you.
The food was terrible... it was authentic... who pairs chicken parm with alfredo sauce? The chicken marsala tasted like it came from canned soup and the pizza had so much cheese it had to be scrapped off just to eat it. If you want real authentic italian don’t go here...however the service was good, the food was not!
Although the restaurant was not full, it seemed like we had to speak loudly to hear each other over the music. The food was excellent, as was the service. Among our party of five, we had two special requests to tweak items on the menu. These requests were handled with aplomb.
This place has always been an A+ when it comes to the food. Their happy hour is incredible and their entrees and specials are fantastic— I’ve never had a bad one. The last three times we’ve been there, though, the service has been choppy— once excellent, once okay and once we were practically abandoned. Consistency of service has gone down since the owner quit being on premise all of the time. But the food is excellent— always piping hot straight from the kitchen. The homemade bread alone makes it worth the visit. The gnocchi and avocado bruschetta are personal faves.
The food is always wonderful, but I still don't enjoy how noisy it can be - driven by the open ceilings and wood floors.
Some of the best Italian food in the area. Authentic, fresh, well prepared and presented. We had the seafood platter for 2 that feed all 5 of us, with leftovers. It was delicious! As was the Mozzarella in Carrozza and the sauteed spinach.
Service was attentive and prompt. Process very reasonable We will go back for sure!
Been here multiple times since moving to Longmont, I've never had a bad experience. Everything I've tried here has been cooked to perfection.
We have been to Caprese many times and it has never disappointed!
We wanted a good Italian dinner and drove down to Caprese Trattoria after checking the menu on line. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent. The zuppe caprese was delicious. My wife’s salmon with the Italian salsa verde was cooked to perfection and my veal parmigiana was tender and flavorful. Creme broule and chocolate mousse topped it off perfectly. Prices are very reasonable. All in all well worth the drive.
Overall a great addition to Longmont. The food was uniformly good, esp. liked the homemade cheese and the pastas. Value was strong and there was a varied wine selection. The seating is a bit cramped and it is a very loud main room. The staff were attentive without being pushy and I saw many items to try on another visit.
Went here with a group of six on a friday night. We were on a tight schedule, on our way to another party, and our server recommended a shared meat plate supplemented by individual salads or appetizers. Someone also ordered an order of gnocchi to share. The food was DELICIOUS. The house wines were reasonable. The outdoor atmosphere was pleasant but not overly fancy (inside was nice, but seemed kind of noisy). We wish that this restaurant was in our home town so we could go back.
Excellent happy hour options all evening Monday and food was delicious as always
The food was wonderful; the service was outstanding. Portions are large, and the price is fair. We will definitely return.
Had a lovely dinner but we asked to leave at about 9.00 pm because they were closing!!!!! As Europeans we found this VERY early.. and felt very rushed.
Amazing food! Although noisy when crowded the restaurant is beautiful and the food is to die for.
I recommend Caprese Trattoria. We had a lovely time and a great meal. Our waiter was great. The only issue I had was with the noise level inside. We sat outside so we could talk.
It's great finally having a really wonderful Italian restaurant in Longmont. The food is excellent, delicious, diverse and authentic. The service is excellent. The decor is a bit more modern, then I prefer but, it is very clean + neat. It would be nicer to have a bit more of an old world charm to warm up the ambiance. Try their Carciofe, it's a roasted half artichoke with balsamic reduction, infused EVOO and roasted garlic aioli. Yummy, yummy, yummy.
I've been to this restaurant twice now, both times with a family. We all agreed, the restaurant has very good food, nice ambiance and great staff! Over all I've been impressed!
It was quite noisy and we went at
4 pm when only a few tables were occupied. I think the acoustics are just bad. The food was not remarkable either way. Our waiter just started working there the day before. He made a really big effort and new employees have to start somewhere! It 3as quite obvious, though, that management doesn't require new employees to be familiar with the menu. Not the waiter's fault.
What a great addition to Longmont. Food is outstanding. This was our 3rd visit in the last few weeks. The Porcheta is amazing.
Food was not as good as we expected from reading about the executive chef online.
First time diner at this establishment. Extremely loud for a personal celebration.
This was our 2nd visit and it was just as amazing as the first. Great food! Great service! Our new favorite local Italian.
Everything is pretty much the same as the Parma in Louisville. The bread was better, but the chicken piccata was not. The chicken piccata was too dry not enough sauce. The avocado bruschetta was tremendous and so was the calamari. Overall a very very good Italian restaurant
Equally as good as its mother ship Bacco in Boulder. Large, good menu with reasonably priced small, medium and large plates. Decent and affordable selection of wines, too. Easy parking.
On this visit I found a couple of the dishes (the tomato soup and the bruschetta) a wee bit underseasoned, but that was easily rectified at the table.
The menu was wide and diverse but the food quality less than premium. Also, the bathrooms were dusty and dirty. Decent pka
