Welcome to DC Capitol Square Bar & Grill!
We are pleased to announce that we are the first family restaurant serving the Hill East neighborhood. Located at the corner of E Capitol & 15th St on Historic Capitol Hill. The Cap Square Bar & Grill wants to be your place for reconnecting with friends and family as we reemerge from the pandemic.
DC Cap Square Bar & Grill is a reflection of our diverse community, and our cuisine aims to reflect that diversity, blending culture, great food, and ambiance for everyday dining as well as important celebrations such as birthdays, graduations, retirements, and rehearsal dinners. We hope that every visit to our restaurant will bring out the nostalgia of our historic Washington DC community and provide a relaxing place to enjoy fresh, healthy food, whether that is breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
We will strive to provide authentic American Cuisine and comfort food that will appeal to a broad variety of tastes with a touch of elegance and sophistication.

The jerk wings, bang bang shrimp and whole red snapper was pretty good . The side of joloff rice was very good. The staff were very accommodating. Thanks Olivia for your patience.

I enjoyed myself at this restaurant, however I will say the crabcakes can be seasoned better. They didn’t have the red snapper I wanted , hopefully next time the do.

OMG! This is the place to be for delishous african cuisine. I dined on the fried filet catfish that was cooked to perfection, very tasty with Jolie rice and cabbage. All was absolutely taseful. The waitress was extremely helpful with my dinner choice and the meal came quick and hot. I felt like I was at home. I'm coming back real soon.

The food is always so good! I’ve been for brunch and dinner service. The restaurant is intimate so service is always amazing. I’ve had a a few dishes and they never disappoint. The Jerk chicken wings and blackened chicken are my faves

Let me start with the food, good and a nice size portion, the place looks nice however it is tight in there. It’s a two level place just to inform those that like to sit up stairs. There was an event going on at time, but the server RJ made sure she assisted us in a good time. RJ good server, nice, and respectful. The appetizer was good love how the shrimp was big and thick, my cousin said the calamari was ok. Our entrance took a little long to come out but our server RJ did apologize. I’m not sure about there drinks due to I had water, my cousin wasn’t to proud with her drink, Overall nice place, good food, and solid vibes. If I was to rate this 3.5/4 out of 5.
