Capital Seafood Restaurant
Celebrated a family’s members birthday. Restaurant staff was very attentive and made good suggestions. They cut the birthday cake for us for no additional charge (I’ve notice a growing number of restaurants charge an additional fee to serve birthday cakes). Food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant
DIM SUM, DIM SUM, DIM SUM!
The service was great, the food was great, and the ambiance promotes good feeling and enjoyment.
If you want to enjoy great Dim Sum in its great variety come to Capital Seafood Restaurant.
We had guests from out of the country, our server was not nice, recommended dinner menu several times when we chose the lunch special, even when we did not ask him.
This restaurant has a great DIM SUM selection. It is a very busy restaurant. We went there at 1pm for lunch and were seated immediately. The whole staff kept an eye on us and filled water and tea without request. In their system you review the menu and check off what you want. They take that menu order and bring it back with a printed order with your selections that the servers check off as they fill your requests. It is a great restaurant for people watching and for DISH watching!
My family often eats here... this time happened to be my mother’s birthday. Have to say that their Peking Duck is some of the best I’ve ever had, only bested by a now-defunct restaurant that had been around since the 70s in Pasadena. The food is generally very good. Service is decent. It is a bit loud, though, but that comes with the business of the place.
Dim sum was great but the duck was terrible. Old, tough and fat. Hardly any edible meet. But the service was quick and nice. I tipped 18%
We went to celebrate a birthday during the work day and they did a great job taking care of our table. The food was delicious and we will definitely go back again. Courtesy servers. Food came out is a timely fashion and we didn't have to wait long. I wish that they would have served coffee but they only served hot tea. Maybe add coffee to the menu in the future. Overall a good experience.
1) my brother in law was in rest room saw a waiter did not wash his hand after restroom business
2) the duck dish seemed a lot smaller, half, than other competitors
3) lobster dish seemed smaller than competitors and noodle we asked the waiter to scoop into my guests bowl, each bowl was less than 1/2 full
4) there were sand in the vegetables dishes, maybe the vegetables didn't get wash
I paid over $500 for 7 people that night and was very disappointed and sad.
The best Peking duck we have had since China. Authentic Honk Kong style restaurant with delicious food and outstanding service.
They said they do not take Opentable reservations.
Do not book your reservations on Opentable. If they are not using the service, why is it available on Opentable? They were rude and argumentative about it even though I showed them my reservation confirmation- they said it must be for their other restaurant but the reservation is showing their address? They did end up accommodating my party but still left a confused and unhappy experience for my guest and I trying to check in. The food portion is very small compare to other Chinese seafood restaurants and their price is more expensive.
At the table where we sat, carpet was very dirty and the area was smelling bad. There was a fly flying around and ended up sitting on the food. It was Friday evening and surprisingly no crowd, which was very unusual for this place. No excuse for not keeping the place clean.
Despite the bad ambience, service and food was excellent. Staff was very friendly. They even gave us a complimentary dessert.
