Capital Seafood Beverly Hills
Dim Sum served everyday from 11:00 - 3:00pm
Live Seafood and Chinese Menu served all day
horrific service. was on time to reservation, but hostess sat 6-7 tables in front of us (who arrived after us without reservation) despite asking numerous times and was told we were the next table.
more importantly, they were blatantly ignoring the outdoor dining-only COVID requirements and seating full tables inside to near maximum capacity! completely unacceptable and will not be back.
Sat outside and ate dim sum. Great experience but traffic noice is loud even on a Sunday.
Food was fresh and excellent. Service was great! Outdoor patio is very clean and nice, noise level is moderate due to passing traffic on La Cienega. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
Excellent food, large portions, very good service. Reasonable corkage charge of $20.
Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food.
limited menu selection for dim sum. the shrimp chive dumpling a little soggy. the chun fun was good. i guess it was good for Beverly hills...not the mecca for dim sum. recommended if you're in need for dim sum and don't want to drive too far out.
The fly situation must be taken care of somehow , I was assaulted by flies the entire visit on the patio . The Hosts and servers need to work on their greeting and attitude , not everyone knows that they are expected to enter through the restaurant’s patio , especially in the broiling heat when you’ve already made the effort to dine in . Restaurants need to remember that we have many choices of where we choose to spend our money 💴. I’m extremely weary of being the person doing ALL of the thanking , and not receiving proper gratitude 🙏 , or will they start tipping me to be a good customer ? Otherwise , I love the place , and the food 🥘, thé standards of quality , and the cleanliness are near the top of the line . 🍝🦞🍚🥘.
Great Chines food in this area, always. We special appreciate its great authentic taste, fresh ingredients and very friendly service. The sea food choice and and special steak are our favor always.
Very disappointing. I realize with restrictions due to COVID make dining out is a little different, so I can look past the very limited menu and patio seating on a very hot evening....but the service was terrible, and the server was rude. Unfortunately, the sub-par quality of the food did nothing tho redeem this unfortunate dining choice.
A wonderful experience in the midst of this crisis. Have eaten there before (indoors) and loved it. Everything we ordered was wonderful.
This is the one restaurant with deem sum abd other traditional Chinese dishes with a dine-in patio option. Tge string beans, French beef, and beef chow fun were good; our featured dish of sea bass over a bed of tofu in black bean sauce was disappointing, because it had an unacceptably fishy taste to it. Service was okay. Ambience was terrible, but i think that is more due to COVID-19 conditions than a lack of wanting to provide an inviting environment.
Food was good. However the service wasn't that good. We waited 45 min for the food to be served.
Great spacing for outdoor seating. Very clean and food and service is just as amazing as before covid-19. Servers all wear masks and I saw hand sanitizer by the door.
It’s the only decent Chinese restaurant in LA east of DTLA. It’s also legit dim sum and as good or better than anything in the SGV.
Food is amazing! Big portions, worthy every penny. Customer service - GREAT.
Best dim sum in Los Angeles plus fancy Cantonese fare. This place is genius. I don’t have to shlep to San Gabriel. Not cheap by any means but food quality is worth it!
service was amazing, i like foods and the cocktails too.
Best dim sum option on the west side. Order from menus instead of waiting for carts. I especially liked the steamed and baked bao and the chow fun/rice noodles shrimp
Very nice dim sum!
Was hoping that there would be more of a Dim Sum service, they had some Dim Sum on the menu - but thought after looking at pics from Yelp - that there would be more Dim Sum...
Food was pretty good, server was a little distracted.
The other issue - was there was this metal bar - under the table that made my date a little uncomfortable... We mentioned it and my date repositioned herself - I heard other people there mention the bar to their server - it seems like that’s just the way those tables are - 2 positions on each of those tables - you get the bar..... They should do something about that - as I’m sure that they are aware.
Servers did not focus on customer’s request.
Food was amazing and environment and our waiter
Wonderful experience! Foods were outstanding, especially dim sums. Lots of variety... We are definitely going back.
Service and food was great.
We were celebrating FamilyAquarian birthdays...
It was great.
Overall great. Liked the stir fried lobster, Peking duck was more of a Cantonese roast duck but still good, dim sum platter at dinner, string beans were solid, and the black pepper filet mignon cubes. Only slight disappointment was the yang chow seafood fried rice. It came out a bit lukewarm and bland in flavor, required some soy sauce and chili sauce provided. Price wasn’t too expensive considering market price for seafood and duck was a bit pricier. Could consider the crispy chicken as an alternative.
Excellent. Their Alaskan King crab was to die for. They have a water tank in the back and the crab is live not frozen fresh and it makes a big difference in taste. Also they know exactly how to cook it to bring out the freshness. The service is attentive and efficient. This is a place I will go back again and again.
We waited an hour and a half to get our dim sum as everyone around us got served. When one dish arrived, it was cold and frozen inside. No apologies from our absent waitress. Completely disorganized.
Excellent quality for the price. Service a little uneven, mostly due to the servers not being completely fluent in English. On the positive side, that adds authenticity to the experience. We'll go back.
Worst service I've ever had. Ordered 2 appetizers. One came out ok but the next one was sent to wrong table. Had to ask why we hadn't got it. After an hour, had to finally flag down someone to even take our dinner order. Other customer came in after we did and had their meal and left before we were even able to order. When dinner arrived, one of the dishes was wrong. Terrible, terrible service.
The food was very good for a westside Chinese food restaurant and I would definitely come back. The entrees were pretty reasonable (again for the west side) and well prepared. The only complaint, my group of 6 had was the fresh cod (live) was market price and very expensive for a small fish. Nobody told us the price and the fish cost more than all the other dishes we ordered combined. The fish was steamed with ginger and scallions, served with all the bones, head, eyes, etc. and made some of my party nervous, but I fileted the fish for everyone and it was excellent and moist.
Their AlaskanKing Crab is out of this world. It is fresh live way better than frozen fresh which is what you get from most other places. Service is efficient and friendly. The place also is not too noisy which is a major plus.
The menu for the day was fun and varied. We really appreciated the choices. We went with filet mignon tips and the fresh green beans, along with fried tofu and a few dim sum items. Everything was delicious, as usual. We always enjoy eating here.
rarely do i write reviews but this place was so awful that i feel it imperative to tell others.
the room has no ambience, it felt like a buffet lunch spot just set for dinner.
the waitstaff was uninterested.
the food came out almost before we ordered it.
there was no follow up from the staff, 'how is your food", "do you need anything", NOTHING!
it was close to $100 for two cocktails, soup, one chicken dish, a vegetable and rice.
yes i know chinese food in los angeles can be challenging but DON'T GO HERE!
Overpriced because of the location. Better to eat at their other branches
Very great food. Fast service and had an excellent meal while dining alone
Very expensive but delicious. Great place to share a special meal. We have been there before but this Friday night it was 2/3 empty. Surprised.
Food quality was very good but high prices, of course you are in Beverly Hills. Service was Ok, servers not very friendly which we expect when we're in Monterey Park but not when we're paying almost double. Dining room is lovely and quiet so you can hear each other and have a conversation. Would recommend to friends who don't want to drive and don't mind paying high prices for dim sum.
Excellent dim sum..very good. Ordered takeout Chinese dishes for later..very delicious and well-prepared.
