A dim sum ‘go to’ for years … partly because they accept reservations as opposed to the classic San Gabriel Valley restaurants. The food has always been good, but this visit - it was outstanding!

I always enjoy the food at Capital Seafood, but yesterday two servers were rude and disrespectful. It was an older waiter. He actually packed up our food for us, but he was rude throughout our reservation. Also, there was a female server who was also so very rude! We asked her for extra napkins, and she rudely pointed to our waiter. I have patronized this establishment on many occasions, and have brought several different people here. I left feeling discriminated against by these two rude servers.

The entire experience was uninspired. We were gruffly greeted by the wait service. I had requested outside dining which was not prepared. Our waitress was also gruff and entirely unhelpful and it took waaay too long for appetizers followed too closely by main course. The chicken and pain fried noodles was mediocre. The velveting of the chicken ( coating it in corn starch which is done routinely to keep the chicken tender) was way too thick and gummy. One would think that a restaurant with the kind of history from Arcadia would at least have the basics down. It’s an expensive property for them to lease but the food seems to have been forgotten.

This place has the best cantonese and dim sum outside of the san gabriel valley by far. Their menu is more limited for being in BH and the west side but everything they do is solid. My only quibble is that during the pandemic, the order and food flow is inconsistent. Everything is computerized but some of the dim sum ordered comes out in 10 minutes, some things never arrived after an hour so we had to cancel items. They need to work that out. Otherwise this place is really good.

A great dim sum find on the Westside. Not a super large selection, but what they do, they do very well. Also have a full bar!! Was a great "comfort food" experience as my mother is battling cancer and had been craving dim sum for quite some time. So happy we found this place.

If the owner of this restaurant see the review, apologize us, racist profile is NOT UNACCEPTABLE. And check your employees, educate them !!! Racist people works in this restaurant. This was my third time visit. Previously I liked the food we didn't have any issue. But this time I'm so so disappointed. Me and my boyfriend had a 12:30 lunch reservation, we were on time. The lady - she took order she suddenly spoke Chinese to me. By the way, I'm NOT CHINESE. Just because I'm Asian she assumed I would speak Chinese?! What a dangerous mindset for restaurant server. First I ordered dimsum platter here for appetizer. I want to see what platter looks like then i.was about to order some dimsum. The server kept coming back and ask if I want to order. So I did, I ordered two more things while we waiting for our food. Then I noitced family group walked in and served sitting behind us they got thier food first than us. In fact, servers running around that table they didn't checked our table. Plus we just waited 40 minutes our order. Finally, I asked her what's going on, she just said sorry, sorry. Keep saying sorry million times. She forgot our order or what ? I couldn't wait no more because my boyfriend and me got booked some event I'm Beverly Hills, so I checked out quickly we left the place. My experience was bad and I felt I got treated poor. Dimsum SHOULD NOT BE WAITING THAT LONG, she shouldn't say sorry instead she should bring the food on our table. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STUPID racist restaurant again.

Wanted to try this restaurant as we love good dim sum. The food overall was very good. The service and price not so much. Could not understand our waiter and with the mask we were in the dark about his explanations. One of the waitresses/helpers (Jun) was rude and fast (almost threw our take-out at us).....Overall it was a good experience and the food was delicious. (but pricey).

The House Special Lobster is next level. You do not need to shlep to San Gabriel to get Authentic Chinese food. Capital Seafood does it right. Our must have dish is Lobster. The bigger the better bc we will eat all of it. Fried rice is great, filet with Garlic Butter is really tender, my husband Loves the shrimp with Walnuts. There are these shrimp cigar things…. Beyond delicious need two orders of those. Everything is great. It’s fantastic for big groups. But we were just four and it’s fine for a small group too. It’s not a great date restaurant. More Family, or group. It’s a bit pricey for the lobster. But it’s lobster and very worth it.

The duck was so dry and over cooked it was inedible. All of the food was overly salted. And they claim they have dumplings, but only two options for dumplings as appetizers. $100 down the drain. Will not be returning.

Enjoyed a great Easter late lunch on their patio. Dim Sum service ends at 3pm but everything we ordered off the menu was truly authentic and delicious. Portions are healthy and very reasonably priced for BevHills. Staff was friendly and courteous. Will be back!!
