The food was amazing, waiter was not. Only asked 2 people what they wanted to drink. Brought the bread to the table, which had sesame seeds on it, and there was an allergy to them at the table. Instead of accommodating the allergy, we were told we could purchase the baguette appetizer. I doubt the kitchen was even made aware of the issue. If so, they would've accommodated without charging as most restaurants do. And on a side note, the fresh flowers in the bathroom would've been a great things...had they not all been dead.

Capital Prime is a step above the chain restaurants in the area. However, not as good as Bowdie’s for example. For the price, I would rather go somewhere else.

Filet and Ribeyes were very good. Mashed potatoes were great. Seasoned veggies were a little under cooked but good flavor. Waitstaff were exceptional. The appetizers were amazing! Price was high for what you get, compared to other Steak and Seafood restaurants.

Capital Prime is the one restaurant we visit every time we travel to Lansing. The Bombay Sapphire was made perfectly, steaks were cooked to perfection, and our server Eddy was great! It was a nice surprise to find Orin Swift's 8 years in the Desert wine served by the glass. Carrot cake was the biggest slice I have ever seen and delicious. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Michigan.

Everything was wonderful from the food to the service. Outstanding. HOWEVER, there was large group of gentlemen who came out from a meeting space who ruined the atmosphere. They were extremely loud and loitered throughout the area - definitely put a damper on our anniversary celebration. We probably should have mentioned it to the staff, but i doubt it would have made a difference. This is not the sports bar they seemed to think they were in.

Delicious meal at Capital Prime. Everyone I was with ordered a steak & I wish I had done so too. My Chilean sea bass was fine but not very interesting. Served with black rice & I forgot when ordering that I don't care for black rice. Everyone who had filet mignon was very happy. I shared a few bites: delicious! Ditto the zip sauce with it. Still, a lovely experience.

I made reservations for our anniversary using Open Table app (which I had never used before) and I could select time I wanted and was asked if it was a special occasion. When we arrived at Capital Prime, there was a rose on the table with a sign saying “Happy Anniversary” - it was so nice and romantic. We were also offered complimentary glass of champagne- so sweet! The service and the food was exceptional!! We had a great experience and would go again!!

This is the place my sisters and I chose to jointly celebrate our birthdays every year. You feel special when you walk in here. The staff are well trained and attentive and the food is always wonderful. Hands down one of my favorite places in the Lansing area.

We spent our 30th Anniversary dinner at Capital Prime and had a phenomenal experience. The hostess greeted us with happy anniversary , there was also a rose and happy anniversary message on the table when we were seated. Our server Emily greeted us with complimentary champagne which was another example of their personal service. Emily had the perfect balance of being attentive and giving us time to celebrate throughout the evening. General Manager Heather visited us and was so generous helping celebrate our night. Our meal / experience was tremendous from start to finish! Thank you again Heather! You and Emily made our night extremely special! And we will be back! This is the first online review I have ever given in my life… but the staff at Capital Prime deserve recognition!

We were there to celebrate our anniversary, and had a great time from start to finish. All staff we encountered from host to server and busser, were all incredibly nice and the service was excellent. The food is much better than I remembered after my last visit about 7 or 8 years ago, I had forgotten food could be this flavorful. A nice touch was the sign and rose on our table for our anniversary and the complementary glass of champagne (in our case non-alcoholic because neither of us was drinking). Thank you for helping us celebrate and making the meal so memorable.

My husband accidentally tipped over his glass of wine and our waiter was at the table next to us and never acknowledged the spill! We found someone else to get some napkins to clean up, they just handed the napkins to us never offers to help!
