We had a great server! The food was just OK and our table was set up in a weird location, like a meeting space. Not good ambiance at all.
Unsatisfactory dining experience. More than willing to spend the $$$ for a phenomenal meal, this was anything but. Food was bland, not cooked to request, and unappetizing. Disappointed at our dining experience, especially when considering what the promise of this place is meant to be. Will not be dining here again.
Food was mediocre at best. For the price I was expecting much more.
Had an amazing time stopping in for Sunday Brunch! Our waitress was very nice and the food was delicious.
Would highly recommend , great atmosphere. Food is delicious. Pricy but worth the price.
The service was excellent, friendly staff. The food was not hot, the perch I ordered was greasy and tasted like burnt grease. My husband ordered steak and it was fatty, he couldn’t eat a lot of it. For the quality and price of the food I was not impressed.
Our first time at Prime
Service was excellent
Loved the seafood chowder
Loved the appetizers so much couldn’t finish my main entree which was also delicious
Great menu and service
Don't bother with the prime meats. They are overpriced. My filet was dry and tasteless.
The food was way over priced. The vegetables were steamed to mush. The steak had absolutely no flavor and was tough. Would not go there again.
Food over priced i can see if it was really gd for the price but that wasn’t the case veggies was bland steak was tough the mashed potatoes and water was great even the crab cakes was ok but won’t order again ... i prolly won’t visit there again
Overall the food was not great, ordered a prime cut of steak that was tough and chewy.
It was good👍
We got seated in the back part ( not as nice looking)
Steak was undercooked per my request. Could tell the grill was too hot. Crispy outside too red of middle.
It was neat but for the money I think better food can be found elsewhere.
Amazing food and service.
Food was very disappointing! Calamari was terrible, dinner rolls were extremely salty. Not impressed for the price of the meal.
This is the second or third time I have been there. I have to admit it’s very good. My only issue was with the Ahi tuna appetizer That had cucumber and a few other things in it. To be quite honest it was a cucumber appetizer with a very very small amount of tuna in it. I seriously doubt they were 2 tablespoons of tuna in it. So that was disappointing. The rest of the meal however was excellent. My suggestion to the chef is to put more tuna in the appetizer so that you can actually see the tuna and not just cucumber
Great environment great food
Wow!! Capital Vine's fall-themed brunch specials on 9/27 were simply amazing. The assorted apple pastries and the french toast were to die for. What a wonderful experience!
Great steak; Great Service. It will be added to our list of restaurants when we make our annual trip to East Lansing. I don't know how we missed this for the past 5 years!!
Food was good. My steak was just a bit overcooked but otherwise very tasty. Service was great!!!
Every dish we received was extremely over salted. Question their chef’s palate - pretty horrible.
They do a free champaign toast for your anniversary, and put is un. Private corner. The food is always exceptional!
Great food & great service!! Worth the extra splurge!! Please be sure to tip accordingly!! The wait staff is superb & deserves it!!
We loved sitting outside by the fire. The service and food was wonderful.
Over 2 hours to get our food and was mostly cold when it did arrive
Replace the bright LED lights over the round booths
Basic service and food. We anticipated a fine dining experience and that was not the case.
High quality food. Outstanding service from Matt.
it's not very busy right now, so very quiet. Our meal was very good. I had the kale salad - I would never eat kale at home, but it's delicious there.
The food was great. We had the perch and prime rib, both very well prepared. The Blood Orange drinks were fabulous.
Rebecca our waitress was outstanding, she really made our date night special. Great atmosphere and ambiance.
Fantastic meal, great service, quiet for good conversation, felt very safe with table distance and servers with masks.
Celebrating the kids return to MSU. 5 people and they messed up 2 of the 5 entrees. 20 additional minutes later and finally everyone received their entrees. Food was good but overall bill for 5 people with tip was over $500 with moderate drinks orders. Not the value, service or food I’d expect at those prices.
Got well done filet to split they sliced through the center was bad even the manager wanted us to except. We asked for a new steak cooked whole very disappointed.
We celebrated our Anniversary and they went the extra step to make it special.
We were given a gift card for Capital Prime and used it for dinner on our anniversary. We were greeted at the door and wished a happy anniversary by the hostess and taken to our table. The table was set and had a card and roses. Our server, Mike, was prompt and offered us a complimentary champagne cocktail. We ordered an appetizer and steaks. The food was very good. Mike was attentive and we never had to wait on anything. Everyone was very nice and we would go there again for a special occasion.
Great food, great service, great looking place. Not ridiculously expensive, but well worth the money. Definitely going here more often.
Our whole experience was perfect! Appetizer: Portabella & Tenderloins was so good. The server recommended the bone in ribeye and I have to say it was the best I have ever had. As for dessert, the carrot cake was delicious and more than enough to share.
Sea bass was in a crab risotto that was to die for. Walleye was excellent and the portion was huge. Server was well trained and even knew how to open and serve a bottle of wine which is unusual in Lansing. Wine list is good. We sat outside and they have a great patio.
