Capital Prime, an award-winning steakhouse and seafood restaurant in Lansing, Michigan, features hand-cut USDA Prime and Certified Angus Beef. Aged a minimum of 21 days, all steaks are prepared with our special blend of house seasonings and broiled at 1800°. You will not find a better steak anywhere.

Our seafood is chosen for freshness and flavor and prepared by our certified chefs to be delicious, perfectly prepared and presented.

Capital Prime shops locally. Our dishes are prepared with the finest Michigan ingredients, handpicked daily by our trained chefs. Capital Prime is proud to cater to gluten-free and vegetarian diets with a wide selection of choices.

    Food and service were both not what we expected to receive for the price point. Service staff nor manager were responsive to many issues we experienced while dining.

    Poor cut of meat, cold mashed potatoes, and the brussels sprouts were so over salted they were inedible. Made the Server aware and nothing was done. Very disappointing as this was a favorite spot when in town.

    I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I was considering hosting a dinner meeting at this restaurant and have decided against it based on my dining experience. My food was served tepid, swimming in lemon buerre Blanc, WAY overcooked vegetables, and tasteless mashed potatoes. The plating was atrocious and very unprofessional.

    Average restaurant at best. Great customer service. But food was just like any other restaurant. Didn’t stick out for me being a classy restaurant.

    Pleasant place to dine. It was our anniversary and wanted a fine dining experience. The service was great. Red rose on our table and a complimentary champagne toast at dessert. The food, however, was a disappointment. For the price we were expecting more. My steak was not exceptional-no special flavor or mouthwatering taste. It was cooked to medium rare nicely, though. Will probably try another venue for next special occasion.
