My husband had a pulled pork sandwich and I had the shrimp po boy
Both were average and the server had an attitude
Went there expecting a fairly high end restaurant and got a noisy sports bar blasting the super bowl on 3 channels!
This was our first visit (my sweetie & I, 64 & 60). I did not realize it was inside a hotel. You have to walk through lobby & down the hall. It wasn't crowded (Saturday night over the 3-day holiday weekend for MLK). We opted to sit at the bar. Bartender was courteous & professional. Not quite a full bar (w/the normal array of liquors). A few hotel guests there.
There were a lot of crumbs in the groove between the bar counter top (where we were eating) & the ledge. Apparently, when wiping the counter from the bar side, you can't see the groove (gap) between the counter top & the wood ledge (on the customer side).
Food was delicious & portions were decent (no take-home box needed). My sweetie ordered the fried shrimp (8 large) & fries (extra crispy on the fries) & I had the grilled veggie sandwich (w/o the bun). Cole Slaw (side) was bland (not enough mayo or flavoring--vinegar, onion, seasonings). I ended up grabbing the squeeze bottle of mayo on the bar & added to the Cole Slaw.
No military discount.
This evening was way better than breakfast today great waitress got everything right and was very friendly.
This morning while ordering breakfast the waitress was very rude (Carol Ann) we had to complained to manager and had a different waitress take our order. She was very friendly and outstanding. Other than the rudeness of The first waitress Carol Ann after replacing her all was wonderful.
Vacation. Diner was superb. Had Rib Eye melted in your mouth. Made perfectly as I ordered it. Great ambience. 5 stars.
What came first the restaurant or the hotel?
Pros: A large well-stocked bar plenty of room to sit at tables or booths , Clean restrooms
Negative: maître d’ doubles as a waitress, Long wait for food the restaurant nearly empty, our order was delivered to the wrong table
Turkey avocado bacon sandwich lacked the avocados
Chef salad featured stale vegetables
It’s in a Holiday Inn. This was not what we were looking for but we were hungry after a long day. If I had known where it was I would not have reserved it. But we were hungry and it was late so we went.
The food was okay . Not how I expected it to taste but not horrible . Service was again ... okay . They were obviously short staffed . The bartender was also the waitress .
My wife and I stayed at the resort for two nights and ate at Cape. Great service and experience. Good food.
The best turkey avacado & bacon sandwich!!! very quiet as everyone else is outside!!
