    The ambience was like a Midwestern hotel lobby with piped-in elevator music. Food was mediocre, service was slow. Felt like we were in Kansas,not NYC.

    Quite little gem that you may miss if you dont look closely. Food and service were excellent. Quite and great for conversation.

    I was looking for a different place in my neighborhood to try out and came across some great reviews for Capatosta on Open Table. Invited some "fussy" uptowners and we all loved it. The soups were delicious, the fresh grilled octopus that we all shared and the varied entrees (mine being strip steak) were beautifully presented as well as perfectly cooked. We will return again and enjoyed meeting the chef who is from Italy. Capatosta (located in the Wyndham Hotel) has only been open 3 months, but I am glad it is a new addition to the Flatiron area.

    Went back for the second time. Impressed again. Very good food in a great space. Never feel rushed or crowded and the food is reliably good. Will return and suggest many times over!
