Cap City Fine Diner & Bar - Dublin
Another great meal at Cap City! It's definitely one of my favorites.
I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in 20 years. I indicated to our server, Emily, that we would probably spend a lot of time talking and if she minded and she was very gracious about it. The restaurant never appeared to be fully occupied at that time of day as I was concerned if she would lose tips because she wasn't turning over tables. Luckily, it didn't come to that. Everyone was very kind and understanding, especially Emily and there was a host who was so cheerful and accomodating. My Philly Steak was so good as was her hamburger. I especially loved the basil strawberry lemonade. She received a complimentary carrot cake for her birthday and gave it to me as she had a drive back to Cincinnati. My husband and I shared it later and it was really delicious. At the restaurant, however, I had ordered the daily special dessert which was pineapple upside down cake, my favorite. It was probably the only negative of the food. It was very dry. I've had much better. When my friend left, my husband joined me and ordered fish and chips which he said were very tasty. It made us still be seated during happy hour and we were located next to the bar. Clusters of people stood right next to our table and we couldn't hear each other and we finally asked to move to a quieter spot and Emily totally understood and showed no displeasure at us doing that and making another table dirty. She acknowledge that the noise level was loud because it was not only happy hour, there was also a bar hop going on, so don't let my noise comments deter you from going. This was, I am certain, not a typical evening. I would definitely go back again.
The manager and our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were taken care of.
Enjoyed our evening with friends. The BBQ chicken salad was delicious and so big I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Everyone enjoyed their food too. Our waitress was delightful and very patient with us. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.
Average. Food ok. Prices ok.
Disappointing meal. We love Cap City on Olentangy, but food and service in Dublin did not compare to your other restaurant. Meals were not hot, water was not refilled, nor drinks from bar checked for refills. Also, we were asked if we were celebrating anything and we said birthday. However, it was never mentioned again. I know most of the Cameron Mitchell restaurants offer a complimentary dessert. Not sure if this is the case at Cap City.
Very unusual,to have a bad meal at a Cameron’s, but chicken burnt and way over cooked. Service not attentive.
We had amazing food and service! They provided exceptional hospitality for my birthday!
A disappointing dinner, we were seated immediately with our reservation. Then we proceeded to wait 5 minutes for water..waited again. We ordered wine...waited again another 5-7 minutes. We were given a basket of rolls..but no bread plates, we waited for server to come by and asked for bread plates and waited again. We order our entrees -food arrived it was as delicious as always, but detail to service was extremely lacking. Our experience with Dublin Cap City has always been top notch but not yesterday evening, was very disappointing.
Good friends 80 th birthday. Our waitress Cindy was great! We really appreciated the free dessert and was extra special with candles!
Servers are always so fun here. Food is great! I could eat here everyday
First time for brunch. LOVED the cinnamon rolls. Great food, great service. Would highly recommend and definitely return.
Decent mixed drinks though alot of ice. Shrimp and blue cheese chip appetizer very good. Waiter was excellent. Most of us had the Walleye which was very good.
I always enjoy this place and could order blindly from the menu and me happy.
It’s been a while since we’ve been here and it will be a while before we return. Took easily 8 mins before waiter acknowledged us. Our first drinks came out literally seconds before entree. Never another drink order taken just the bill delivered...”turning tables!” Total time- 40 mins!!! Now that was a relaxing Friday...not.
Delicious food. Very pleasant and efficient waitress, hostess, and other staff members. Very noisy, but will definitely return because of the food, service, and value.
Overall it was very good. Our table was available early. Our server was very polite. Food was delivered pretty quickly. It wasn’t until the booth next to us was filled and they were extremely loud which made it difficult to hear within our groups’ conversations. Took away from the ambiance.
We had a great experience thanks to Heidi our server and Bill the on duty Manager. Our night started off not so good at another competing restaurant in the area. We used Open Table to find another spot. We’ve been to Cap City many times. They were able to accommodate us quickly. In conversation with Heidi my wife mentioned the debacle at the other restaurant. Within minutes of ordering our drinks Bill showed up with a complimentary flatbread pizza and thanked us for choosing Cap City. The rest of our time was great. Good food and continued phenomenal service.
We went here because it was within walking distance from our hotel. We had excellent service, good variety menu and the price was right. We chose outdoor patio seating with a lovely view of the sunset and river. We enjoyed the meal and atmosphere so much we went back the next night.
Excellant server excellant food!
Busy night in restaurant. Waiter did not provide much attention to drink refills or needs without asking.
The service unfortunately was terrible. My guests and I were seated by the host and we waited 20 minutes without being greeted by anyone - the restaurant was not busy by the way. I finally had to go get a server and let them know we had been waiting a while and were anxious to get our food ordered. Our server finally did come to take our order and we did get our food in a timely manner. I don't like giving poor reviews but this was the second time I have had to track down a server at this Cap City Diner location. I think better management and staff training is a must!
Anniversary dinner with my wife. Great time and dinner. Thanks!
We got seated by the bar and it was way to loud. Went there for a nice birthday dinner and the first 30 minutes we could not carry on a conversation. Should have asked to be moved.
Drink service speed was slow
Great venue on the patio with friends! Fantastic food, excellent service and comfort table atmosphere. We’ll be back!
We started with one very good server, but he left in the middle of our meal and we had a couple other servers. Manager and another one filled in very courteous... but was a little bit of waiting for the dessert and had to repeat a couple things since our original server left.
Roxy was awesome as our server!
We were there late on a Sunday evening so the restaurant was pretty empty. The service and food were great. It was a beautiful night, so really enjoyed the outdoor seating option.
Food and service were great! Highly recommend.
Had a great brunch meal! Really enjoyed it. Another great Cameron Mitchell’s restaurant
Excellent! We have chosen to enjoy our anniversary dinners at Cameron Mitchell restaurants for the last 3 years as we attempt to experience all the Columbus based restaurants in a similar fashion, one per year. Cap City Fine Diner & Bar met all expectations and the service was fantastic. The family atmosphere was very welcoming.
Always the best
Service was really bad. Our waitress seemed to have a hard time keeping up with all of her ta
My disappointment was that I called to increase the party from 5 to 6. They said no problem. Then when we arrived they said they had no record and we had to sit in a less than desirable table.
The salmon salad was delicious! The brownie sundae was out of this world—favorite dessert ever. Service was slow, maybe because it was so late in the day. Prices a little high and portions are getting smaller.
Been to Cap City several times and would generally say that it’s good but not great. Unfortunately went over the weekend and was very disappointing. Had a reservation and seated quickly - no problem. Went down hill from there... Service very slow. Ordered cocktails but didn’t come until after our appetizer. Salad barely filled the bowl. Food sat in pass they so long it was cold when we got it. Calamari delicious. Meatloaf was flavorless. Would’ve ordered desert if we hadn’t been sitting so long; just wanted to go.
The service was very slow, seemed like our server had too many tables to take care of. I ordered the eggs and brisket hash and there was a very small amount of brisket and mostly onions and potatoes.
