So the food is amazing, legit great food. But the problem is you feel like your eating in an outdated cafeteria. They need a complete remodel in the restaurant to make it sexier and darker.

We had a wonderful experience, just a few minor flaws, fiancees steak was not of a quality he would have expected, and the creme brûlée was not properly set. The wine was exceptional and moderately priced. Overall it was a wonderful night out.

The Cold Seafood Display was disappointing. I have had it before and is usually very tasty. The lobster tail had absolutely no flavor. The shrimp were somewhat rubbery. The steamed clams lacked any sign of garlic.
The service is always exceptional. Our server even offered another lobster tail since she saw we did not eat it.

The Opentable map connection sent me to an incorrect location. When I called in, the gal answering suggested the valet. When I pulled into the valet, which was 5 lanes across, no one was directing traffic flow, even after getting out of my car, no one would come over, I asked 4 people, finally having to interrupt someone to find out how to get my car valet'd. Very poor service there. No sign which was obvious on where the restaurant was located in the casino, again asking uniformed employees without getting a response. Found the restaurant after one young blonde employee pointed me in the correct direction. Was looking for grassfed steaks, none there, but ordered anyway. Sides were extra, the sweet potatoes were over-sweetened. I ordered the gelato trio for dessert, telling the waiter that I could not have pistachios, so he said they would give me an extra chocolate scoop. It came covered in - pistachios! Which I did not expect until I ate one, then could not eat around them. The whole evening was a disaster and I cannot fathom how they get those prices for such a mediocre environment.

The food was delicious. It was beautifully prepared. The service was excellent. The server (Mira) was very attentive to our needs but did not rush us in any way. The restaurant is in a separate room so we were not bothered at all by the smoke and noise of the casino. Altogether it was the perfect location for a relaxing, satisfying meal.

Showed up for a birthday celebration wanting the filet mignon lobster for at least three of us only to find out they were out of lobster. The place was empty and how do run out of lobster in two hours as they open at five and we showed u at seven. WOW! Awful! Happy Birthday....

I'd like to say the food was delicious, that my Fiance and I got dressed up for a romantic night at a nice restaurant and that is was a memorable valentine's day. I would like to say many nice and positive things about the evening, however, I can not. I had planned a week in advance and made reservations for 8:30 p.m. because we work during the day and wanted time for my Fiance and I to get off work and have enough time for us to get cleaned, me put my suit and my Fiance to get on a nice dress appropriate for the evening. We walked in the Resurante door almost right at 8:28 p.m. after waiting in line for 10 minutes and listening to the various groups of couples in front of us, I knew I might have made a bad decision. The hostess informed us that there are several tables but they are being cleaned. She is very sorry for the inconvenience but it should only take 10-15 minutes and we would be seated, as we did have reservations for 8:30 p.m. and it was 8:45 p.m. at that moment. So my Fiance and I waited, 50 minutes went by, no one had been seated.
At 9:20 p.m. my Fiance and I came to the realization that the restaurant closed at 10 p.m. and we were losing any time we had to eat their or anywhere before everything closes within a 20 mile radius. So after never seeing a manager of any sort and seeing the hostess going back and forth and reapeting the same line "tables are empty but being cleaned, please give us 10-15 minutes and you will be seated". We decided to leave and salvage what little time we had left of what was supposed to be a nice romantic night out.
Valentine's day is once a year, meaning there are only so many of them in a lifetime. I wanted the evening to go well and to take my much deserving Fiance, whom I love, out on a nice, quiet, romantic evening. Now one has been stolen by a company/group who doesn't and won't ever care. I will never go to, stay, or eat at the Soboba facility. Neither will any family members or friends, I will caution all.

We had reservations for 815 but did not get seated till 9 o'clock. And they seemed a little put out that we pressured them to be seated. Our waitress wasn't too pleased and seemed like she had too many tables. Yet it was probably only half filled. The food was outstanding as usual. They have the best steak in my opinion . I was a bit disappointed with the service this time though

Sat at bar while waiting for table and was sat at a dirty table.

Told waitress no mushrooms and mushrooms were on my meal.

Had to ask for water twice.

Server good. Food only fair, not what the menu suggested as gourmet food. Strange pairings. No embellishment on steak plates. Some of the steaks were gristle. My husband’s filet mignonette was good. Food in general fair. Our dinner group of 10 will not be back.

The menu prices and selection are that of a fine dining restaurant, however the reality is, the ambience is that of a mess hall, the decor and colors of the walls etc are very poorly chosen for the type of dining reflect by the menu. Service was fast food style, with none of the servers trained in fine dining. The food was delivered to the table cold and need to be returned to the kitchen, and presentation was not that of a fine dining restaurant. There was also restriction on what items could be ordered, the deserts on the Prixe Fixe menu could not be ordered if one dined Ala Carte. An overpriced and under performing restaurant punching way above its weight.

Just needs to be a little more homey. Very wide open and if there’s a large noisy party happening (like when we were there), it gets too loud.

Excellent service, attentive but not overbearing. All of the dished were most flavorful, the only one that was slightly off of excellent was the one we asked them to slightly modify which we considered to be our fault not them. A bit pricey but we will be returning inn the future.

We should have left when the waiter told us they were training a new chef. we order the french onion soup (which I love). Was unable to finish it unbearably . Then came the steak which I could not finish think I have had better at Chilies, Then came the 300 dollar bill. I was looking forward to a good steak house here in the valley, not here felt completely disappointed .

Canyons is one of the best Steak Houses in Riverside. What I have tried and LOVED so far, this was my second visit. Mignon, French Onion soup, Brussels sprouts , Mac n Cheese, fresh bread and the BUTTER CAKE !!!! By the way I have been to all the other Casino steakhouse ..... I must say Canyons is LEADING, I was surprised by that .....try it for yourselves you won't be disappointed !
