Fantastic Ambience and very pleasant staff

Lovely setting, perhaps due to pandemic didn’t feel crowded or noisy at all. Chef and other staff stopped by to inquire about our meal- always a nice touch. Elise our server was wonderful- we really enjoyed her!

Chef Ed’s food was fantastic! We loved everything we had. The atmosphere and view is always amazing! Look forward to returning in June.

My husband and I had brunch at Canyon Kitchen. Though the menu was small, we had heard good things and knew that whatever we ordered would be delicious. The restaurant did not disappoint ... especially the Fall Toast. What an unusual combination of flavors that worked so well! And the food is only half of the experience. The views from our patio table were breathtaking! We cannot wait to go back.

One of my favorite restaurants anywhere!

The setting for the restaurant is breathtaking! The problem everyone in our party had was with the food. Many of the selections we had were overcooked or dry. The portions are all small - from the micro-biscuits to the deserts. Even the quantity of condiments served was sparse (pumpkin butter, butter, etc.). Oddly some of the food items were already cut-up for you, i.e. the ribeye steak, as if they needed part of it for another person or dish. Small portions at steep prices!!! There are too many other good restaurants to chose from in the area.

It was our anniversary and our dinner was top notch. Our server, Hallie, was the best!!

OMG, the setting is beautiful, the food amazing and the service outstanding! Since we were early for our lunch seating, the hostess offered to let us explore the grounds or be seated. She checked our temperatures and we chose to sit outside on a gorgeous day and enjoy a drink. We were seated at our designated time. Tables are spaced apart and servers all wore masks. The quality of the food was super fresh. The servers all looked after each other, filling water glasses and clearing dishes if needed. The apple crumb a la mode for dessert was the exclamation point on a great meal. Highly recommend the experience!

Wow!!! Seriously, this was a perfect meal...location...service...day!!!

Made a decision to travel to the Canyon Kitchen after reading a review in Garden and Gun magazine. We were not disappointed!!! The view of Sapphire Valley was breath taking. The restaurant building was magnificent. The staff were excellent, personable, and professional. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Just wish they still had trout on the menu. We enjoyed dinner on a Friday night and then returned for lunch the next day. We will certainly be returning to the Canyon Ranch in the future and will recommend to all of our friends.

We LOVE this restaurant. This was our second visit and we were joined by close friends who were traveling with us. They were blown away by the view as we enjoyed our drinks. Food was excellent, with enough variety that we all shared bites. This is a special occasion splurge for us, but we already can’t wait to go back. Not to be missed if you are in or near Cashiers, but you need to make your reservation in advance.

We have been here many times and have almost always enjoyed the experience. However, on this last occasion we were seated by an open area leading to the bar and meadow. It was a very cool evening. We asked to be moved twice and were refused. My wife was very cold, and could not enjoy the experience. At the time we were there there were 6 tables seated and 13 open tables! The outdoor temperature was 49 degrees Fahrenheit!

The most beautiful place to dine! The service was excellent, our lunch was fantastic, and we were treated like royalty! Appreciate this crew providing us with great dining options during such trying times.

Canyon Kitchen was one of my favorite places on our trip to NC. The food was fresh and delicious and the view was incredible. I've already recommended it to others.

Even during these trying and strange times, our experience was as good as it always has been. It was our 8th anniversary and to dine there, which is where we had our reception, makes it so special.

Have dined here many times, but with COVID, the menu was a la cart. Thought the dining experience was even better than previous times. Celebrated my birthday with family and friends! It is our overall favorite dining experience anywhere in the world.

Vacation week in Cashiers - Highlands. Canyon Kitchen is always a highlight of the week and did not disappoint this 2nd day they were open after Covid tale out only for months. Fabulous!!!

They sat us on patio. Even though it was enclosed with plastic and they gave me a blanket for my shoulders, I was very cold the entire meal. Not fun. Legs were cold. For the amount of money I spent it was memorable for the cold evening, not the food.

Canyon Kitchen is a beautiful venue to celebrate any occasion. The food was amazing and the setting was pictureque.

This was our first visit to Canyon Kitchen but definitely won't be our last! I cannot believe that we haven't been here before! We love fine dining and dine out often while in the Highlands. The view is so beautiful and ambience is absolutely perfect for a romantic dinner for two or dining with friends/family! We arrived an hour early to relax and watch the sunset! I am so glad we did! It is a must do! The food was excellent from start to finish with both my husband and I having different dishes! Service was warm, friendly and perfect! Our table was on the back porch overlooking the mountains and moon high in the sky! We can't wait to return to this beautiful place!
