Canyon Crest Dining and Event Center
Beautiful scenery. Great menu. Slow service overall. Great place. Huge portions. Menu has hot dogs to foley mignon.
View from The outdoor patio area is unbeatable. The food and service was good, but could have been better.
It took a while for our server to come to us, but the food was great and the scenery was incredible
Great customer service, food was yummy and the prices are great!
We had a great meal here. There is outdoor seating and we originally were out there, but an afternoon thunderstorm hit and we were moved inside but were able to keep the view. The place is very large because it is also an event facility. The downside to that is the ambiance was not ideal as it was very open and everything was modular. Very nice place, the service was wonderful and the food was fabulous. My husband and son-in-law had burgers, daughter had a cobb salad that looked amazing and I had a wedge salad and chicken strips. The chicken strips are cooked in house, not from a bag. They were the perfect blend of crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. There were several choices for flavors of sauce for the strips (buffalo, for example) and dipping sauces.
Service was excellent, food good, prices too high for what you get. My steak came mushroom but very sparse, would have order mushrooms' as a side if i was aware. Salad should have been included with the meal.
One of our go to dining places. We always enjoy the food, service and views.
I had the cobb salad, with chicken added. I was pleased that when it arrived, it had a decent amount of chicken. Sometimes in that circumstance, you get a piddly couple ounces.
The food and service was excellent!! Anytime I come into town that's the first meal I'm going to eat! I want to thank the staff and the Chef Richard for a fabulous food experience !!! 👏 Bravo
Made a reservation for outdoor seating. Went to the restaurant on time to find they had no outdoor seating available. My wife and I where celebrating out anniversary by dinner at sunset. We left as we did not want to eat inside
It took 20 minutes before our waitress actually came to our table, our food was really cold and we were sat next to a table of girls that were having really inappropriate conversations. then the waiter got involved in the conversation. This restaurant was one of the best now it's not.
It took over an hour to get our food and we didn’t even order steaks
We were sat after standing in the lobby for about 15 minutes waiting for someone to come up to seat us and a group in front of us. After being sat we waiting for another 15 minutes for our server to come with water and menus. By time she came back again we were ready to order and placed our order of an app and two entrees also two sodas. About 20 minutes later our app comes out delivered by a different gentleman no biggie. Another 10 minutes later our food came out. Still no drinks still no server to check on us. After we’re almost done eating our food the server comes back and we mention to her about our drinks. She brings the one but states they ran out of the syrup for the other one and she will have it right out. A few minutes later I’m assuming she was the manager brought my drink after we were done eating almost an hour after we placed the order. We were walking up to the register because no one ever came back to check on us or give us our check and luckily our server was walking by and saw us. I understand the restaurant business is chaotic and stressful. And it seemed like to me that they were short staffed. I hope things get better for canyon crest maybe I’ll try again in a few months.
The view was the only part that wasnt a huge disappointment. Was ignored at the hostess stand, moved to the bar and was ignored there. Finally acknowledged, our reservation confirmed, and received minimal service. Was seated outside and waitress apologized for being understaffed and thanked us for our patience. Was able to order food about an hour after we were seated and we let the waitress know of a severe mushroom allergy - ordered a meatball flatbread and shrimp cobb salad. About an hour or more later received a mushroom flatbread and chicken salad. Not wanting to wait any longer my husband and I swapped food. The flatbread was removed from the bill but we received our check with another diner's credit card. I wanted to bring the other card to the bar to make sure it wasn't just left on the table and got ignored again. Over all it took over 3 hrs to get the wrong food and have a couple drinks. This was our 2nd option when Elevations had a 3 hour wait....next time we will choose to wait and skip this restaurant all together.
Great to be able to dine in again. Always a good meal and service.
We arrived for our reservation. There was a couple ahead of us, a walk-in. It was pretty empty, so they were shown to a table by the window, even though they didn’t ask specifically to be. I said we had a reservation, the hostess didn’t even bother checking out n that. The problem I had with this approach was that, in my reservation, I had explained that I was bringing an overseas guest and that I would like a table with a view. We were show to a table away from the window, as the other guests were already lined up along the window tables. Had the host checked the upcoming reservations, she could have reserved us one of those tables!
The food was good but the salmon was over cooked and dry.
There wasn’t much of an atmosphere and my red wine tasted like it should have been used for cooking only.
At this point, when passing through Twin Falls, I would not recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful view of Snake River. Wonderful staff, delicious Sunday buffet reasonably priced!
The food was not great, especially for the price! It wasn't that busy for the service to be so slow.
Very nice food at a great price.
Wonderful Valentine's day dinner date location. My wife and I loved the private atmosphere and the food was worth the price. Would go again
We were referred to Canyon Crest by our Orkin Service guy, so greatful he recommended you yo us. We are new to the area and you can be sure we will be bringing all of our out of town visitors to your establishment.
We ordered blackened chicken Alfredo. The sauce was bland, orange, and soupy—looking and tasting nothing like what we’d imagined Alfredo being like. The Caesar salad was great and the hot rolls were good. I loved the view and atmosphere.
Excellent food and breathtaking view of Snake River Gorge. Very reasonable wine prices and they have food choices that run from moderately priced to around $50. Flat iron steak and trout were really good. They are also dog friendly. A definite must do if you are in Twin Falls.
Excellent service with friendly servers and great food. Fantastic view.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Loved the chicken soup.
Food was excellent. Everything came hot and timely. Our server was amazing!
Our host and waiter were amazing. They gave us exceptional service. The food was delicious. The view was beautiful. We will definitely be back soon
Good food. Good service. Spectacular view.
Once we found this restaurant we've made a point of stopping here every time we're driving through Idaho. Excellent food, great service, and amazing views of the Snake river canyon. After eating here, be sure to go down to the lower view point to see the waterfall.
They made the day special for my daughter and our family friend as they celebrated their birthdays. Sang happy birthday the our friend, made it special for her and my daughter. The food and service was amazing! Thank you
Food was poor with many selections empty. This was a Mother’s Day Brunch and the waitperson didn’t even inform us about the other side of the buffet. Horrible value for what we were told was available for food.
Michael is the best! Great service helpful and friendly! The food and view are perfect
We both orders a steak. I asked for mine well done due to being pregnant, my husband med well and mine came out bloodier than his did. It took probably 10-15 minutes to even get someone to notice us sticking out hands up go get help. It was also chewy.
They did not have my reservation that was made through this website.I have a copy of the confirmation number and everything on my phone and they didn't have it. We were still able to get us a seat without any waiting and it was an excellent experience.however the whole point of using a online reservation site is to make sure the tables waiting for us when we get there it could have been turned out a lot worse.
The wait staff if awesome. The buffet brunch was very good especially when compared to the price which was very reasonable.
This was my first visit ever to this location. I did not get a lime with my gin & tonic. It was bland and I can make bad drinks on my own at home. For a $40 meal for one person, I thought it could be better. The plates my companion & I ate, and looking at the rest of the plates delivered to other guests in the restaurant were all plated and prepped and cooked by the local college culinary arts students given artistic freedom for the evening and not by experienced chefs. The service received appeared to be from inexperienced temp employees. Bland uncomfortable service or making rude, awkward comments. The appetizers were a mix of entree sized meals and small tastings. They were not consistent sizes for the table, so the table will not finish eating at the same time. I had so many clams for my appetizer, that I needed more garlic ciabatta bread or pasta to eat them. They were very good but I could not eat my entree I was so full. The lobster bisque was watery and thin and not thick and creamy as expected. I was not given a soup spoon but a regular tablespoon to drink my tomato broth with. I had to drink it out of the cup because the small spoon was not working. The shrimp sauce with the barracuda was extremely salty and hard to eat. Didn't anyone taste anything to make sure seasoning was correct before sending it out to patrons? Sprinkling blue cheese on top of a sirloin does not make it "crusted." The sirloin was a small unseasoned roast and not cooked as requested as it was so thick. I had to take it home so I could cook it to medium as requested instead of rare with a cool red center. The chocolate strawberries were a nice treat. The bananas foster needed a long tea spoon to reach into the drinking glass. Either Canyon Crest does not have the available tableware or the staff does not know when to included the proper silverware with each dish. Canyon Crest is confused weather it wants to be classy or white trashy. Staff needs a little more training and consistency.
I made a reservation weeks in advance for 10 people at 5:00 for 12/22/18. Two of the party showed up and were told there were NO RESERVATIONS. I called at 5:30, and someone apolized and said they did not know what happened the the reservations did not show up. Really, I did everything I was suppose to and they were confirmed. I won’t be going back anytime soon:(
As always great service and amazing food. You can't go wrong if you choose to eat here.
Somewhat disappointed. Service was slow. No one in the restaurant so no energy. It was like a morgue. Server was excellent but food delivery was slow. Had a chip appetizer which was not good. Wine pour was excellent as were the wine choices. Not a good place to go on a Monday as we were one of only two parties in the whole place -- not fun!
Service was great, very few people in restaurant. I had the chicken fried sirloin which was so tough I couldn't finish it. The broccoli, however, was ver tasty
