Flat Iron Steak*
Smoked Jalapeno Butter, Garlic Fries
The food was delicious. Outdoor seating was very comfortable. The service was very friendly and helpful. And it's pet friendly.
Amazingly good. Love that they complemented my veteran friend for his service. The steak was outstanding as well. Will definitely go again, no doubt about that!
Best Happy Hour for pre-game at GCU!! Great food and drinks. Staff is really accommodating and nice!
We really enjoyed the room that was reserved for the group. The atmosphere was great!
First time going here. Location is called Grand Canyon University, which appears to be near the Admin. buildings. Took our niece there for Thanksgiving so there were maybe 10 people there. Turkey dinner was okay. Nothing stood out about it. Husband had a burger that he said was really good. Niece had a lemon meringue milk shake. Neat atmosphere.
It was my husband's birthday bit he is not doing sweets so the staff willingly substituted something savory as a birthday treat! Food was good and Quesadillas were huge.
Went before a concert. First time there. Food was great and service too.
Fun place! Our waitress was amazing, friendly and we received our food quickly. The food was also very good! There was a guy playing the guitar and singing when we got there and it helped it us ready for our concert!
Yummy food and great service, pretzel bites and wings are a must!
We went on a Sunday and had a limited menu which we weren’t happy about. They didn’t have the sandwich I ordered .
Our hospitality experience was #1. Great service, great waitress, good food. Exciting surroundings. Food value not quite there. Best of luck!
Nice place! The service was excellent.
Delicious food and large selection. Staff was very hospitable and knowledgeable. Wonderful experience.
Very friendly from the moment you walk in the door. Food was very good and a very good price.
The good was good but slightly overpriced. Have been there for breakfast and dinner! Dinner was definitely better than breakfast! Would not recommend going here for breakfast
Yummy food. Easy going atmosphere.
We were going to attend a comedy show at GCU that night. We invited two couples to come with us. We all ordered hamburgers and either fries or tater tots. The food was delicious and the service was good. Both of our couple friends commented that they will have to remember this place.
Service is great. Very responsive.
Food and options could be improved.
Noisy hard to talk at table.
Lopes up always, this is a great place to come eat and hang with friends or if you want to go out for a date with that special someone, GCU absolutely kills it with Canyon 49
I am never disappointed when I eat at the CANYON. The friends I have brought there to share a meal are what I would consider, " Happy converts! "
What a great place to enjoy a delicious bite before the basketball game!
Are waiter took a very long time attending to our needs and the food had a couple of sauces that were not good. The staff should inform the customers when they change the menu and add new sauces to the food.
Good service with an attentive server. We needed to give special instructions regarding leaving the onions off the pizza, and we had no problems with this.
We wanted to love this place because it’s run by students. It was good in general but there were some quality issues: 3 of us had the Cobb salad and only one had bacon on it. All had chicken though one of us requested no chicken. One person ordered the quesadilla and it came sliced as usual but only 2 of the pieces had ingredients in it. The rest were just the tortilla or had a few pieces of cheese. Service was very nice and veeerrry slow for drinks.
Restaurant associated with Grand Canyon University. Servers are students at GCU and are extremely friendly and work hard to take care of you. Had breakfast. Food was good with decent portions, but not excessive. It's part of the GCU hotel and a training spot for students in the Hotel and Hospitality program at the school.
Our daughter was graduating from GCU with her Master's degree and we all came out to participate in the day of celebration. We wanted to have a fun family dinner after the ceremony so I looked up the choices in the area and liked the reviews on Canyon 49-and liked the fact that it was not only local was connected with the school to give us that "flavor". I was able to easily move our reservation up when we found out we were done earlier than expected.
Our waiter was so attentive and such a pleasure to have at our table. The food was delicious-we had appetizers, main course, and even shared 3 desserts-everything was so good! The ambiance was casual but fun. It was starting to fill up when we left but the noise wasn't ever overwhelming. We found out there was a discount because she graduated-what a sweet bonus! And our meals came to less than what we anticipated! We would highly recommend this place if you are in the area!
Kept mixing up orders, food was undercooked, got dessert order wrong
Great service. Great food. Great beer. and awesome shots of Jose Rolling Stone Edition and Don Julio Real.
Loved the atmosphere! The food was delish and plentiful! Hospitality was amazing!
The burgers that me and my date had were absolutely marvelous! Unfortunately, it seems like most of the waiters are tired and overworked so the service is subpar. Everything else was up to standard.
Zu laut. Hamburger waren kalt, Pommes frites verbrannt. Steak war medium well und nicht medium rare. Wein wurde ständig vertauscht, anstatt sauvignon blanc kam chardonnay. Insgesamt 3-4 (schlecht)
Our server Jessica was a total sweetheart! She made sure that everything came out how we wanted and we left satisfied. Whenever I go from now on I’ll make sure to ask for her if she is working :)
Service was good, food was OK. Atmosphere and menu very unremarkable.
The wait staff always had smiles and were endlessly friendly and helpful. We attended for my mom's birthday and they made it special just for her with a custom dessert at the end that the whole table enjoyed.
Great food, good service, great atmosphere.
Was not impressed. The chicken breast looked like a wing and very dry. Appetizers came out with order instead of before hand. Serving size very small.
We had a party of 16 for Mother's Day lunch and they managed us very nicely. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and great with my younger grandchildran. The food was very good. Nothing too fancy but very good. Great prices. We really liked the pretzel bites for an appetizer.
Extremely slow service. Fettuccini alfredo was watery noodles covered in pepper. Brownie came in a skillet but was ice cold.
Every time I have been here (about 4 times now), the service has been pretty good. However, the most consistent issue I've noticed with C49 is that all of the chicken dishes I've had were all dry. The chicken waffle sliders, roasted half chicken, and pan seared chicken. All dry. The sides that I've gotten (the rustic potatoes and seasonal veggies) were also pretty bland and needed a lot of salt and pepper. The dessert however, is amazing. I recommend the brownie skillet, it's a great choice. The atmosphere of this place is very modern and new-looking, and sticks to the GCU school color scheme, which attracts a lot of students there. Overall it's a nice restaurant, great for going out with friends or on a date. I just wish they would fix the chicken issue; it's rather annoying.
