AMAZING FOOD!!! Caprese was perfection including our chicken and pasta entrees.
Great food and great service.
This restaurant is a neighborhood gem. The food was excellent. The service was very good. Also, at least three people working at the restaurant stopped at our table to ask if everything was good. There was also social distancing throughout the restaurant.
It was perfect food and place for ladies’ gathering!
Waitress seemed like she was having a bad day, steak had to be sent back because it was not cooked as ordered.
Excellent food delivered with great service. Both the food and service are always outstanding.
fantastic food and service! we will be back
Anniversary dinner. My wife ordered the linguini and clams with white sauce, while I had the braised short rib. Everything was excellent.
Over the top food, absolutely will be back!!
Always a good meal. Always.
Fun place to meet a friend with delicious food and very nice and helpful waiter.
We had a beautiful experience, great food great service great place!
The food, service and ambiance was outstanding. It’s our favorite restaurant!
as soon as we sat down the server approached us with an attitude pouring water so fast that water was spilling all over the table , he was running around like a mad man i asked for napkins and another oil dip for the table cause we where 5 he goes which one would you want me to bring first i looked at him and i said he doesnt matter and he walked away, placing our appi i felt so rushed that i missed to order a few items that my sister wanted , we placed our dinner thinking that we would breath a little after the appi but the food was so rushed that we felt like the server wanted us out , my mum and sisters wanted to walk out and i tried this place before and i wanted my family to try it but what a disappointment i tell u def would not come back
It was really very good We had the Arancini app a insulate misto which were both excellent. I had the Ravioli with smoked mozzarella and white veal sauce which was superb. The chicken (piccata) dish was also excellent with the polenta and chicken preparation being heavenly. The rapini was bland and bitter, I feel they could find a better preparation for that side. The Gnocchi was very good but the duck rag out sauce didn’t work extremely well. It wasn’t bad but it lacked flavor and could use to be punched up somehow. The wine selection is very good and the gelato is to die for overall we had a very enjoyable evening.
Went with 2 of our kids and their spouses. And, as always, everything was amazing! My oldest son from Houston wants to visit Cantoro’s every time he comes to Michigan. We are happy to oblige! This is hands down our favorite restaurant.
Cantoro Trattoria never disappoints. I Always have an amazing experience!
Fabulous! Food and service were all outstanding!
Everything was great with our dining experience except the pasta
We had our wedding reception here in 2019 and it was great. We decided to make it a tradition and came for our 1 year anniversary. It was super disappointing. Very poor service and we left feeling like we just wasted a bunch of money for nothing. Our waiter left for long periods of time. He never refilled our drinks and we were not given silverware. Since he never came back we had to get up and go find someone. I don’t think we will be back.
Always the best. You pay more, but you get way more in return.
Our reservation stated “HUSBAND IS HARD OF HEARING” & “CELEBRATING OUR ANNIVERSARY”. Both were in ALL CAPS, hoping to get their attention so they would follow through, as they ignored the “special occasion” note on our last FIVE visits (anniversary, birthdays & holiday parties!).
NO LUCK - a party of EIGHT was soon seated at the next table, including 3 children (1 screaming!).
Our server, Joseph K, didn’t seem to care if we had a good experience & we didn’t feel appreciated.
We had to ask for bread... He returned to the table next to us but ignored us, no bread. He came back to ask a question, no bread. When he finally returned again, he had the bread but not the cheese & pepper we wanted.
My ravioli was hot & good, but $2 more than at our last visit. My husband had chicken scaloppini - sour sauce, over-cooked rapini, & he only ate 1 bite of polenta.
Someone asked if I wanted the rest of mine boxed & I said yes. My husband had finished about 1/2 of his entrée, the rapini looked untouched & he had eaten 1 bite of polenta... The employee asked if he was still eating & he said no. He asked if he wanted it packed to go & said no.
Clearly, there was a problem! A well-trained person would alert the waiter/mgr to have it addressed. It didn’t happen, the dish was just removed...
For the SIXTH TIME, the special event we were celebrating meant nothing to them & we left without our 31st anniversary being acknowledged! If Cantoro is going to persist in refusing to acknowledge those notes, they should just say that they’ll be ignored, so we don’t expect anything.
I asked the host if anyone reads the notes & received a noncommittal, mumbled reply. She looked confused, saying “they should ask if you’re celebrating anything”. I said they didn’t, so our anniversary was ignored. She said “Oh, I’m sorry...” as we walked away.
VERY DISAPPOINTING, considering the issues with food, seating a party of 8 next to us & that they still ignore special events!!
Server was very attentive- food was great as always (Foccacia is such a special treat!!) They did a great job of spreading out table for proper social distancing- felt very comfortable. One of our favorite local restaurants!!
The food was outstanding. Our waiter was on kind but did not provide us with the service that we expected. We had to ask her to refill our water glasses, twice and she left us to refill our wine glasses as well. We had to wave her down several times. When we did get her attention, she kept walking and would say "I will be right with you". She had too many tables and we felt that she was overwelmed. We also, informed the restaurant that we were bringing a very expensive bottle of wine and to please let the manager know. They did not. The corkage fee was $25.00, well worth paying if, you are bringing a $100.00 bottle of wine that is not on their wine list.
IWe would recommend going for lunch vs dinner.
Always a favorite. A real gem in this part of town. Lena was great!
Food, as always was delicious. Friendly and helpful wait staff.
Really a hidden gem. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was very unique. Cantoro is definitely one of my top favorite go to restaurants.
They are awesome even during Covid
Dinner for four with wine and apps. Perfect as always!!! Best Italian food in S.E. Michigan.
High quality food and great service. Remember to walk through the market.
Requested a table near the window. My request was not considered.
The food was fabulous!
Great food, Great Service!
The food was phenomenal! I ordered the salmon with pesto sauce. I would recommend for friends and family gatherings!
Great food, the porch atmosphere is nice with the windows open.
Entire experience was great! Server and food was amazing! Will definitely be back.
The food was FANTASTIC. The portions are huge. Large enough to share. The olive oil for dipping the bread in was also great!
Very comfortable and safe environment. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Great atmosphere and phenomenal food!
