The food at Cantoro's is out of this world -:) From the appetizer, we wondered a Burrata, my risotto with veal, to the gelato..... just amazing. If I had known that the restaurants were going to be close for dining in, I couldn't have chosen abetter place to say good by to going out to eat.
We love it here!!
I had reservations for four at 7:30 and waited for 30
Minutes after my reservation time to be seated. People who came in after me we’re seated before our party. The hosts did not seem to care even after I complained.
I have eaten here many times abs by far my worst experience
Had reservations for my wife and I for a Friday at around 5 p.m.. tables were spaced a good distance apart. We had a cheese board with 5 cheeses. Delicious. Each had a salad with a cider vignette. Amazing. Bolognes entre and the pasta was perfect. Perfect night!
The food is great, a little disappointed when we asked to add an item to the pizza we were told no the chief will not. The store that is attached to the restaurant is amazing!!
Always amazing food and wine. Calamari is the best, pasta very tasty too. I love their minestrone and always buy it at the store. Wait staff is great and always attentive.
Amazing, we always enjoy Cantorros!!
Birthday celebration. Wonderful afternoon
We had the worst service we’ve ever had. We ordered three salads and took 40 minutes. Then we had to ask 3 people just to get our check!
Waiter was excellent and gave us time to enjoy wine and food.
Environment felt safe with good distancing of tables. Always a treat to go to the Trattoria!
Great selection of food and atmosphere. Service was also very good!
Great food. Have been here many times. They never disappoint. Pizza is out of this world. After dining we do our shopping for groceries, this is also a wonderful experience as well.
in town from chicago for hocley tournament with our son. great experience atmosphere all around too notch
We make the 30 minute trip to this wonderful restaurant at least once a month. We love the food and the service is second to none. When we are finished with our dinner we head over to the market where you can find fresh produce, meats, pastas, cheeses and so much more! It’s a “foodie’s” delight!
Amazing food and service. The penne vodka and the calamari were amazing
I went to Cantoro Trattoria during a visit to family in Livonia area and enjoyed an exceptional experience.
The menu choices reflect a high-end authentic Italian experience, and the quality and presentation of the food did not disappoint. From the Moscato-soaked raisons included with the cheese plate we ordered, to the perfectly prepared veal medallions with prosciutto, and the HUGE piece of tiramasu we shared at the end of the meal, everything was fresh, appetizingly presented and delicious.
The service was friendly and attentive, and I appreciated the wine pairing recommendations I received as well.
The inside seating at the restauraunt is a little noisy, due to concrete floors and other hard surfaces, but the ambiance is friendly and informal. The food is the star of the show.
No question that this place is a serious authentic Italian eatery! The menu features a diverse selection of pasta's, salads, entree's and apps.. While we couldn't taste test everything what we did sample was spot on delicious! As always the best review always includes a energetic commitment to go back again which I promise we will!!
We celebrated our 25th Anniversary and the service was awesome. We felt special and the food was amazing as usual.
One of my top favorites in the area. Everything is outstanding about this place.
Our second lunch visit since the pandemic began. We are huge fans of the Trattoria and market. The space felt very comfortable with good distancing between tables. Highly recommend!!
Just stopping in for a bite. This place never disappoints. Keep coming back and will continue to do so!
Sat at the bar for dinner and as always, the food and service are incomparable!!!!
As a native Italian, I found this food to be offensive. The risotto was overcooked. The red sauce was bitter. The chicken was in gravy with way too much thickener. The rapini had garlic overload -- you could not eat it. The polenta was tasteless and served as a cube. I wanted to like this place after the great reviews, but the food was terrible. Now I understand why the restaurant in Troy closed. GET A NEW CHEF!!!!
It was my son’s birthday. Great service and fantastic food!
A wonderful meal was once again had. Social distancing was great. Single use menus and great staff. This is why we keep coming back.
The best restaurant in Michigan! Great people, great food and a great place for family and friends.
Had a business lunch that ran overtime. The staff was very accommodating and professional. The Chef recommended a new item which I had seen him plating as I walked by. I discussed the lunch choice and several recommendations were made to change my initial idea. Absolutely good meal.
This place has been able to expand the seating area but a reservation is really a must. Do disappointed the one in Troy was not sustainable. This location is a 38 mile ride for me. Nonetheless, I am always happy to have a meal there. I have several Japanese clients and have had a number of meals here and am never disappointed.
Sat upstairs with a large group. Food was excellent as always. The server was stuck with our large group and another large table with little support. That made it tough for her to be attentive. The service rating is not a reflection of her effort. Rather it's on the restaurant for the lack of server support.
The food was very heavy on the oil which took away from the taste of the dish. The restaurant also did not do a good job of enforcing masks when leaving the table.
Food was delicious!!! Don’t pass over the risotto with Veal cheeks.....amazing!
The food and service were excellent! We will be back and would consider carry out during the winter. The house made pasta was incredible. We highly recommend Cantoro Trattoria!
Cantoro’s has the best Italian food this side of Italy.
The absolute best Calamari Peperanota anywhere.
Pasta dishes are special.
Briana gave great service.
We go to Cantoro a couple of times a month for a reason. They are THAT good.
Confirmation celebration
Wonderful food, service & great compliance with COVID safety protocols! Loved the nice table spacing. We felt like that added to the overall quality of the experience.
It was our first time visiting this restaurant/market. We were very impressed! The food was really authentic and delicious. Our server was great, knowledgeable and friendly, did not rush us at all. We will definitely return here when we are in town.
Perfect birthday luncheon for my sister. Very impressed with our food and our service!
Great service, amazing food, peaceful atmosphere.
AMAZING FOOD!!! Caprese was perfection including our chicken and pasta entrees.
The elicoidall alla norcina and risotto with mushrooms and veal exceeded our expectations! Also loved the radicchio and boston bibb lettuce salad.
Great food and great service.
