Cantoro Trattoria is a family owned upscale yet casual Italian restaurant featuring house made pastas and traditional Italian cuisine including a variety of pizzas cooked in our wood burning pizza oven. Our in house sommelier and general manager Alex Bazzy maintains a complete wine list from around the world with emphasis on selections from Italy. Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020,2021, and 2022. Mlive "Top 10 List" for best Italian restaurant's in Michigan 2017 and 2022.

    As usual the food and service were perfect; however, the temperature was very chilly. I saw several people go out to their cars to get jackets. I was not so lucky to have one available. In any case I suppose there is a fine line between keeping your employees comfortable and the customers as well. Your food always comes out so nice and hot and it cooled down quickly. So, lesson learned, always bring a sweater or jacket, just in case but as on this day I was just freezing and could not wait to leave.

    Cantors never disappoints. Everything we’ve ever had has been wonderful. The branzino, salads, pizza and pasta are all delicious. We always dine at the bar and always have exceptional service.

    The food I ordered was very Italian in nature. Prosciutto-wrapped melon and Pesto Gnocchi. My wife ordered a Panini. She would give the Panini 5 stars as we both did with the melon dish. They used both Honey Dew and Cantalope. They were both ripe to perfection. I gave the Gnocchi dish 4 stars as the pesto sauce was very pungent, but that's just me. The wait staff was very attentive. We never felt rushed and just savored out meals. I had a cappuccino as dessert that I drank slowly. They offered me another.
