Cantoro Trattoria is a family owned upscale yet casual Italian restaurant featuring house made pastas and traditional Italian cuisine including a variety of pizzas cooked in our wood burning pizza oven. Our in house sommelier and general manager Alex Bazzy maintains a complete wine list from around the world with emphasis on selections from Italy. Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020,2021, and 2022. Mlive "Top 10 List" for best Italian restaurant's in Michigan 2017 and 2022.

    Cantors never disappoints. Everything we’ve ever had has been wonderful. The branzino, salads, pizza and pasta are all delicious. We always dine at the bar and always have exceptional service.

    The food I ordered was very Italian in nature. Prosciutto-wrapped melon and Pesto Gnocchi. My wife ordered a Panini. She would give the Panini 5 stars as we both did with the melon dish. They used both Honey Dew and Cantalope. They were both ripe to perfection. I gave the Gnocchi dish 4 stars as the pesto sauce was very pungent, but that's just me. The wait staff was very attentive. We never felt rushed and just savored out meals. I had a cappuccino as dessert that I drank slowly. They offered me another.

    As always, Cantoro's checked all the boxes! Delicious food, great service, wonderful ambiance. Our server Becca was awesome, catering to all of our special requests! And of course Alex is always checking in to be sure we are taken care of. I can't think of a better place for an Italian meal in metro Detroit!

    The food was very good, nice variety. But our server felt that she needed to raise her voice each time she spoke to us. Maybe she thought it was loud or that we could not hear. Either way, it was very hard with her asking us questions loud. When we decided on wine she also thought maybe we would prefer another. Questioned our choice.... and it was always loud.
