Every item on the menu is interesting - all were delicious, well prepared, well presented. The servers were kind and engaging. Great meal!
Everything was excellent, ambience was wonderful!
The food was awesome and I love the ambiance - however, the music was loud and people were forced to talk over it which made it even louder. Because they were so busy, we felt rushed since the waiters and waitresses were running around like crazy, refilling waters and picking up used dishes constantly. So inadvertently it made us feel like we had to rush thru our meal, but it wasn’t a deal breaker - we still took our time. We will go back again. Parking is hard to find so arrive early.
Great little hidden gem! I love he location, in that it’s in a nice quiet neighborhood, making it more of a “locals” spot. The service was great, and the food was fantastic!!
Perfect for date night! ✨
Absolutely amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. We will be back!
The food was amazing. The service was great. The food came out in a timely fashion and we never felt rushed and could take our time ordering and enjoying our courses. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Will definitely be returning.
Great food and ambiance. Service was exceptional.
Really good food. We had the very delicate ricotta ravioli with pears. Also the
tiramisu was beautiful and some of the best ever.
Food was superb! Service a bit sketchy but it was very, very busy (great that you're doing well - so pleased about that).
Only complaints are the hard, flat seats on chairs and high noise level - probably designed that way to move folks along and not stay too, too long
Delicious food-lovely appetizers, hearty mains and the Tiramisu was wonderful. Staff was warm and knowledgeable, outside seating was warm and cozy and the wine was perfect. Will definitely dine again.
Thank you for accomadating our family for a nice time and dinner.
So good! We’re vegetarian and loved how many options there were. We shared the buratta, fried artichokes, butter lettuce, roasted carrots, gnocchi, and tiramisu (we were very full at the end). Everything was spot on. Our faves were the carrots and the gnocchi. Our server was friendly and made great recommendations. All the staff we interacted with were great. Can’t wait to come back!
Very nice outdoor area with fire pits, shade, and cute tables
Cantinetta is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. There is no downside. Great food, wonderful staff, and always consistent.
I LOVE Italian food, and hence always expect the best when I decide to splurge my weeks worth of calories on some pasta dishes. Our dinner at Cantinetta was hit/miss, but unfortunately isn’t somewhere I’d return to if given an Italian ultimatum. As a local neighbourhood option, I think it’s a little more attractive. Overall a 3-3.5 out of 5 for us.
Food: We tried a bunch. Manila Clams (second favourite of the night), Focaccia (very dense and cakey, which isn’t our favourite), Cavatelli (rich and well flavoured; pasta was decent), Ricotta Ravioli (let down; smaller ravioli so mostly pasta with little filling), Halibut (delicious; clear winner!).
You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but their pasta dishes are my favorite. We tried the burrata on our most recent visit, and it was phenomenal. Their house focaccia bread is also always worth it.
Ryan and the waitstaff were fantastic! The food was top notch, as were the drinks. Shoutout to the chef for the Gnocchi, the smokey sear on it was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant for delicious food, drinks, and ambiance!
Great place for a fun little date night in the city. Food and ambience was great, but even better service!
It’s an Italian flavor journey for foodies. Very cool spot and feels intimate.
Keep it up Cantinetta! What a lovely place! Be back for more!
The original Cantinetta is our favorite place in Seattle. We have such a great experience every time and we haven’t had a dish we haven’t loved. The food is always fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is that chic, understated elegance that is becoming harder and harder to find. If you know of Il Buco in New York (also a favorite), this is the Pacific Northwest’s version. It’s the Italian restaurant done perfectly. The waitstaff are always extremely accommodating and even saved our special spot for us as I was surprising my boyfriend for his Birthday. Will be back again and again. Thank you, once again, for an amazing night!
Our Mother's Day dinner was excellent. We had many items on the menu and shared all of them!! We sat outside and it was wonderful on a beautiful day with family.
I would recommend Cantinetta to everyone.
Enjoy.....p.s. The cocktails are great as well.
Just in case anyone is concerned if Cantinetta is as good as it was pre-Covid.....it’s as good for sure! We celebrated Mother’s Day plus being fully vaccinated and had a great dinner!
I have been going to Cantinetta for years now. The food, service and Ambience has always been outstanding. However I rated it lower this time around due to several things. It was crowded inside for dining during Covid. I was uncomfortable at how many people were inside. Not only that but it was so busy, the waitress really couldn't give us proper attention. And the few times I have been there, there has been no music or I barely noticed it. Was fine that way. The music on Saturday night was loud and WAY to raucous and upsetting. I felt like I was in a pick up bar for 20 year olds. Not great for fine dining.
The food was outstanding though and I had a good time with my girls.
Overall it’s a nice corner to have dinner. Service is excellent. There are nice people around.
Burrata is a must have. The restaurant has its own creativity in this common Italian appetizer. Burrata paired with the sauerkraut very well!
We ordered two pasta - Gnocchi and Risotto. Overall it’s good but not many sides and no meat at all. I would suggest to add more veggies, mushrooms or some meat which will make them much better!
Love here go here often but last time the food was just too salty. Also even though it was a small crowd, music very loud, unpleasant. Still love the place though
My favorite neighborhood spot. Cozy and local, but also destination worthy food. Great service.
Great food. And very nice ambiance. Love the outdoor area.
Went to SRW, the pasta was just average for me, and I got sick a couple hours after the meal. Will not be returning.
Excellent attention throughout it our visit; friendly staff; gorgeous plating, delicious food.
Best restaurant I’ve been to in a looooong time. Everything was delicious. The clams were over-the-top exquisite.
So nice to be back at one of our favorite local spots and one of the top places for real authentic Italian cuisine in Seattle. It was very busy and buzzy on a Saturday night and as always the staff went out of their way to make us feel well looked after and special. Fried baby artichokes and the cacio e pepi peci were the highlights of the meal this time around, as always we ordered WAY too much food, but leftovers are always fantastic!
Incredible food, incredible space
The wait staff were all great. Good vibe in the restaurant. Pleasant space as well. The food was just good, not great. $200 for dinner for two women seemed like a lot for food that was good, not great, and very little alcohol. Don't get the fried baby artichokes. I expected something along the lines of fried squash blossoms. Instead, they have this incredibly hard shell. To be fair, our waitress offered to replace the dish with something else when she saw we weren't eating them, but I didn't want to make a fuss.
If they reinstated a happy hour, I would definitely go back. Otherwise, probably not. If I'm going to spend that much I want outstanding food.
Lovely spot in a quiet neighborhood. Went there for the Seattle Restaurant week and had a great meal for a great deal. Would highly recommend.
The coconut Panna Cotta and Tiramisu were delicious!
Stopped in for SRW. Excellent food, great service. Will definitely be back again.
The food was excellent but it was a very limited selection. Our waiter seemed distracted. At one time I was asking a question and he completely looked away at another table so I needed to stop till he turned his attention back to us
Best place in Seattle.
