Always a pleasure. I like the minimalism of the menu, which provides plenty of options. The service is always stellar. Reservations are a must at this popular place. Because it is busy, it is always noisy... just lean in to converse.
Who knew that deep fried artichokes paired so good with a dirty gin martini?
Great food, great service and solid ambience. Big fan of this local neighborhood favorite! They’ve also got a great outdoor setup complete with fire pits by each table, great for folks wanting an extra Covid-safe table!
Wonderful food and presentation. Impressive cocktail selection. We waited an hour for our table, possibly due to it being a rainy night and nobody wanting to sit outside.
Friendly helpful service and excellent pastas, risotto and dessert s.
Loved the ambiance
Went here for my wife’s birthday. We lived in Wallingford for 4 years and never visited this spot until now; very cozy and romantic atmosphere. Drinks were good, and our entree’s were fantastic. I got the risotto and my wife got the Pici, both of which were 10/10. We had also ordered the burrata and the house made focaccia, which I wasn’t a huge fan of, but the entree’s more than made up for it. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.
Service- ignorant & dismissed my note that is my husband Birthday.
Cocktails - ok
appetizers- clams were very overwhelming, too much oily chorizo seasoning. Artichoke's aioli was pure vinegar, was really hard to eat. Cauliflower, plain- lacking seasoning.
Ricotta dumplings really delicious and airy.
Ambiance is warm and place has a romantic vibe, but would never be back because of food taste and service quality.
We had 4 courses each one distinct and delicious plus a cocktail and a glass of wine and I didn’t feel too full. The portions are just right and the atmosphere is perfect for a leisurely meal and conversation. Great service too. Felt comfortable and safe eating indoors.
Wonderful food, ambiance, service, location, view! I appreciate that the venue checked everyone’s vaccination status.
Great dinner with a friend. I can’t wait to go again!
Love this local neighborhood gem but menu is stale and lacks daily specials … tonight Eggplant app was raw and pretty inedible
Great venue but needs to step up menu
Cantinetta is always amazing! The place was buzzing on a Wednesday night. Servers are friendly and all work together. The food and drinks were fantastic! You can’t go wrong with a signature cocktail and some housemade pasta! Always a great vibe!
Always a favorite!! Great service and fantastic food and wonderful cocktails :)
Best meal we've had there yet - great variety of appetizers, vegetables and pastas. Everything delicious.
There was a very limited number of main courses available - only 2 (king salmon and braised short ribs)- but we were satisified without either of those items.
4 guests - ordered 3 appetizers, one vegetable, 4 pastas and one dessert - along with a couple of cocktails and a bottle of wine - was a fairly good value and a delicious meal.
Amazing birthday dinner for my 13-year old daughter, and our first visit to Cantinetta. As travelers, we've experienced meals in many countries, and Cantinetta felt wonderfully familiar; like we'd discovered a quaint treasure in an unsuspecting alley of a European city. The food was well-prepared, delicious and will bring us back. We all agreed one of our new favorites. I'd recommend arriving right as they open - no wait!
We had a wonderful dinner outside by the fire.
Paltry portion of pappardelle for Seattle Restaurant Week. Insalata Mista was just a pile of dressed lettuce - no other veggies to be found. That is usually known as Insalata Verde. With a mista salad there is supposed to be other vegetables. The beets appetizer was solid. For dessert, don't go for the panna cotta - very weak showing. Go for the tiramisu, which was tasty and a good portion. Drinks were just okay. Foccacia bread was completely dry and served only with oil. Could've been fresher and at least served with balsamic. Not great.
We had a great date night with cozy fireside seats at my the patio! Staff were all great- very friendly and helpful! Seattle restaurant week menu items were all fantastic!
I thought the risotto on the Seattle Restaurant Week menu was fantastic. Great flavor and I could've had two more bowls. The bolognese was just okay.
Panna cotta was delicious! The drinks came out a little slow and the entrance to the restaurant is sort of awkward spacing.
I won't rush to come back.
Super delicious dinner. We went for Seattle Restaurant Week and the portions for the entree were disappointingly small. We enjoyed all the food very much but were hungry again an hour or two after the meal.
Was a beautiful restaurant and the staff was very friendly. Our food just took over an hour to come out and a long time between courses. We were there for over two hrs from start to finish. Food was good, but I’ve had better bolognese. If you go try the risotto instead.
Always a favorite. Perfect ambiance, great food & drinks + friendly staff.
Wonderful place to celebrate my mother's birthday. Seattle Restaurant Week made for a great time, really good variety for each dish, and especially fun to share and try everything on the Restaurant Week menu.
I enjoyed dinner with my friends who are from SF. Neighborhood restaurant. I prefer this location than Bellevue one.
The homemade pastas are delightful and it's a great dining experience.
Salad misto was very good. Appetizer cauliflower was boring. The cauliflower was broiled with pepper. Slightly raw with no glaze or sauce. One slice of orange on it. There were a lot of florets but it was very uninspired. We had pasta with spot prawns which were spicy and good. The other dish was a beet ravioli. Again very good but a bit too rich with butter. Seating inside is very crowded. We were seated next to people that were no more than 3 feet from us on either side. Too close for comfort.
The food was DELICOUS!! Drinks were tasty and the server was great. She had the perfect balance of being attentive and leaving us along.
Tables are too close for COVID, but our server wonderfully accommodated us. Of the three dishes ordered, two were OK, one was excellent (braised short ribs). Timing was awkward. I would dress warmly and sit outside by a fire the next time I return. Better ambiance. Restaurant is full of hard surfaces and I had to nearly yell to be heard by my companions.
Excellent wine recommendation cozy outdoor seating; delicious food-our group comes w dietary restrictions & we found many items to choose from.
Amazing service and impeccable meal. Loved the ambiance and attention to detail.
I enjoyed Cantinetta. We had the maltaglati with spot prawn and also the gnudi. These are things I don’t regularly see on menus.
Service was nearly flawless; I probably contributed to the pasta coming before we finished our appetizers by suggesting we might do more courses.
Wine is marked up a lot. I’ll be back, but I need to save my pennies before doing so.
Pasta was phenomenal and I'm very excited to go back and try more of them. Very nice space to really get into a night out.
Food was AMAZING! They had outdoor seating too so the front door was opening and closing several times and we were inside right by it, so we were cold the whole time. Other than that, great spot!
Best food I’ve had at a restaurant in years. We rarely go out, so when we do it has to be worth it. IT WAS.
Always fantastic and delicious!
I love your restaurant. This time, the bolognese needed more moisture & more of it… still tasty!
The gnoud was outstanding! Beet salad - best in town.
The noise is very loud. Maybe work w an acoustical engineer to find simple sound absorbing material.
The experience was amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Outstanding food and service. Our favorite place for date night.
The staff is the best in the city! Maybe in the entire USA!
