Cantina Laredo - Virginia Beach
Great food, great setting, great service. A bit pricey but it is at Town Center. Would have been all top rating if the staff all wore their masks correctly. We will be back and soon.
Great drinks and food! Loved it outside!
Great view..great service. Great place. Can’t wait to visit again sometime soon.
We ate out on the balcony for dinner. Food was innovative and very tasty. If you're looking for traditional bean and cheese burritos, this may not be the best pick. This is elevated Mexican food. Signed up at the table for their email and text programs -- got a free appetizer that night, plus another for the next visit.
While the food was decent, the service was not even "meh" good. Had a reservation, it was NOT busy, but we still waited 8 minutes after we were seated to get anyone to the table. Our waitress was unaware of the art of waitressing. When she first came to the table, I remarked that I was very happy to see her, as I thought we were seated in the No Service Zone. She did not get the joke... Food was not hot. This was a birthday event treat from my girlfriend, and she was not happy. Sadly, she does not complain, and would not let me do so.
We've been there now, so we don't have to go back.
Decent for taco Tuesday because it’s cheap, but the food is beyond mediocre.
Cantina laredo, is awesome. Every time is a new experience. The staff is very accommodating, drinks are on point and the food is always very tasty. We recommend to are friends and family.... all the time!
Our first time there, food was awesome. Waitress was excellent. Will definitely return.
Hannah was amazing food was by far the best since we have been here and all around the best place
This was my first experience eating at Cantina Laredo and I loved it! The restaurant was beautiful, service was great, and the food was delicious! I will be back and I will tell my friends!
And Dom was great, she even helped me pick a wine that was sweet enough for me to like!! Thank you Dom!!
Would not take a reservation on the weekend. Once seated we were told they were out of avocados. That eliminated the fresh guac we wanted and a few of the entrees. Food was not fantastic. It was ok but nothing special. The drinks were very good. The service was very good but they seemed understaffed.
An amazing dining experience! Fully COVID compliant. Exceptional service and atmosphere. Outstanding culinary flavors which combined fresh ingredients and flavors. This is not your average Mexican restaurant-it’s truly a unique experience you’ll want to savor again!
Came in for Taco Tuesday! Food, drinks and service was great! One of my favorite places in VB.
Excellent Food, Drink and Waitstaff! We will definitely be back.
The food was fantastic!
Excellent food and Hannah provided super service! We will be back.
Booths were not clean. Food on seats.
Very nice thoroughly enjoyed it. Only thing I wish they would do different is allow you to order off the happy hour food menu at your table versus only being able to order happy hour food at the bar. Somewhat inconvenient. But overall very nice time
Wait staff were all wearing masks. Carlos friendly & never forgot us outside with nice breeze. Mgr stopped by to make sure we needed anything.
Food was very good, but service was a little slow. Our meals came out before the Guacamole appetizer, so we canceled the appetizer. And dessert took awhile, almost cancelled that too. They're probably adjusting to the whole covid situation.
Great location, meal and server (Dom). Had enchiladas- they were terrific. . Definitely will be going back soon
We enjoyed our meal, the food was unique and delicious. I had the Cameron Carne Asada which was phenomenal. The others in my party felt the same. The service was a bit slow. We were seated and ignored for a while. They seemed to be ample staff around that seemed preoccupied with themselves. Overall, great food, some kinks to work out in service but, worth a visit.
Really enjoy the carne asada. The margaritas are strong but very good.
Modern Mexican food was amazing, service was good, food pricing was okay, hostess could be a little more attentive, bathrooms were clean but expect a wait because there are only two stalls.
Some items were overpriced in my opinion, such as the dips.
The entrees were priced fair for what you receive. My favorite part is the steak was cooked medium without me asking. I LOVED that!
Desserts were priced great, we ordered two at $7.50 each.
Definitely worth the visit!
Finally a decent Tex-Mex in Virginia Beach Moving here from Dallas it’s been really hard to find anything that’s Texas size and flavor in Virginia Beach so I’m so happy this chain arrived here
Go there. Awesome place, great authentic Mexican food and service. Nice ambiance. Be sure to make reservations.
Party of 2 had to wait 30 minutes to be sat for our 7:00 reservation. Food was ok, but didn’t get our drink order (house margarita and a corona) until halfway done eating entrees. We put the drink order in before ordering an app of the chili con question, which was mediocre at best, especially for the price. May have been better if it was warmer. Check was brought before asking if we wanted another drink, so we went somewhere else in walking distance.
My tacos were probably around 3 inches in diameter with only 1-2 small strips of steak. Couldn't believe I paid $15 for a large plate of rice, beans and 3 extremely small skimpy tacos. It's a shame the portions we're so small because the food was delicious
This place is AWESOME!!! I’ve been three times, twice for Sunday brunch and once for dinner. Would definitely recommend.
We had high hopes for this spot, but overall the food was just average.
We experienced some issues during our meal. It was Valentine's Day so really busy. Not a spare table which means loud dining hall.
Ordered table side guacamole which we missed most of presentation since our meals arrived before it was finished. One plate was served incorrect-we think the waiter could not hear. The next order came out incorrect chicken not fish the third time was the charm but eating in front of someone was uncomfortable. The food was good but we took a lot home as left-overs due to service.
Date lunch/birthday outing for me and my husband. Food was good, but would not get the queso Blanco again since it had a smoke taste to it. Made it taste slightly bitter. The apple dessert was phenomenal! Was able to take home two bowls of chips and they provided 2 types of salsas to go with the chips. Would try the place again.
Pre Valentine’s Day
The cantina is worth a try. However, their margaritas need some work. No real taste. The "mom & pop" Mexican restaurants have better margaritas for a couple of bucks less.
The service was terrible. Our drinks came halfway through dinner and we asked for refills on chips several times and that never happened. My husband had ice tea and that did not come until very late and then he asked for a refill and that was a not go. The good was good. The noise level is very high. Well try again in a couple of months.
My Wife and I visited Cantina Laredo for our 45th Anniversary, The waiter was too busy talking to the young girls behind us to give us good service, he forgot to serve my Marguarita and was too forgetful,Didnt take my coupon off, also i ordered another tortilla for my Fajitas which he also forgot, when he finally brought it out my food was cold and i told him i would just take it home,Later that night i got ready to eat my left over Fajitas and he didnt pack my Tortilla that i had ordered,Nice restaurant and food is good but need to work on that service,Our waiter was experienced and not new
Food was not very good. Order was messed up three times. Check was someone else’s.
I was here this past weekend, and it was fine. It just opened, and they seem to be trying to make it work. The food was good, and the service was nice. The atmosphere was very cool, and I am sure after they work out the opening kinks it will be wonderful.
By far the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! The apple pie dessert is also a MUST!
The food was amazing. I got the Carnitas that were the best I ever had but then I tasted my wife’s Carne Asada. Possibly the best steak I’ve ever tasted. Everything was great, much better than I expected for a restaurant that just opened a couple days ago. Will eat here weekly!
