Cantina Laredo - Jacksonville
Even during the contra restrictions It was a lovely dining experience: delicious specials and wonderful service
We had a 630pm reservation for two and we seated by the bar. (My least favorite place to sit for a nice dinner)
Another table was seated immediately after us and they were greeted and served drinks BEFORE we were even spoke to by anyone.. This practice burns me up and I think its the job of the staff to serve patrons in order of arrival.
After FINALLY being greeted by a waitress for our drink order, we waited and waited for delivery and still had no chips and salsa.
Once our “assigned” waitress arrived with drink delivery, she had ZERO personality, made no eye contact and when we ordered the table side guac, she seemed to be bothered.
We waited for over 20 minutes for the guac to appear and waitress never spoke while creating Guac. Very sad and poor attitude.
I ordered a second margarita and she totally forgot to deliver it ti me until after we requested the check. When she brought it to the table, she laughed and said do you still want it? Total lack of concern and not what we expected as we are somewhat “regulars” at Cantina Laredo.
When one spends nearly $100 for a dinner outing, this type of sub-par service leaves a lot to be desired!
Overall, food was just ok. Temperature of food was not HOT and with the lack luster service, we are left wondering what happened to our favorite place.
Service was timely and the food was on the mark.
The restaurant was the perfect setting for my friends birthday! The food was served quickly and was really great! Will go back again often!!!
Had a delicious meal. Diana, our server, was lovely. Highly recommend the apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and hot bourbon sauce for dessert!
Quality food . Fairly priced. Excellent service. Steak burrito is awesome.
Great food and ambiance!
great place for brunch, or a dinner date. never disappoints.
Ashley is great
Was in the mood for spicy food.
Was anything but! The sign said GOURMET mexican - outright lie, it was all very bland, greasy and drowning in cheese. The guacamole was ok - not spicy, though and the tortilla chips very good. Service was fine.
Wouldn’t go again, though - better mex food at Cheesecake.
Never disappoints. Always a great meal, great service and wonderful experience. Our server was Laura who was outstanding.
Cantina Laredo is on our short list for dining, the team never lets us down. The new thin tortilla chips recently added make the homemade guacamole taste even better than before. We always have the guacamole with our cocktails - "oh by the way" they have a great bar-tending staff.
Service was excellent. Our server Ashley was awesome. Food was excellent as always.
Service: had to ask for refills on Water. no refill on chips or salsa offered. Once we received our order, we then had to track down wait staff for silverware. Music was Too Loud.
Food: I really liked the food, very good quality, flavor, portions.
The veggie chimichanga is not good. Way too much cheese. The veggie fajita was the kitchen sink. Just don’t go here if you’re vegetarian.
great food! service was good as always. seated us ahead of our reservation.
The very best Mexican restaurant in NE Florida. Our server exceeded every expectation. We tried new menu items and were quite pleased. Even the valet parking was an excellence experience. Thanx
Service and food was great. Don’t miss the special apple pie dessert-fantastic !
Disgusting! This place has gone downhill steadily over the past year or so. We loved it so much before that we keep going back hoping we just caught them at a bad time but this was the forth time we had horrible food, horrible service and an overall bad time. The chips were dark brown and tasted like they had refried them a couple of days in a row. I ordered the tableside guacamole and has to send it back due to the avacados being dark black condition. The quality of the food has completely deteriorated. Moes is actually better now than this Cantina Laredo. Thats like saying McDonalds is better than Five Guys...🙄but seriously don't waste your time if it is food you are going here for. Perhaps the bar provides a little better experience that I can’t speak to.
It was a great dining experience, I can’t wait to try it again!
Good quality Mexican food worth the prices they charge over your regular Mexican restaurant. Have been here a few time and plan to keep going back.
It was good
The prices are increasing and the flavor decreases... the guacamole used to be out of this world and the chips to die for. Anymore it’s mediocre food at best. Lunch cost 21++ that’s with sharing the guacamole and a soft drink. So before tip $42 for lunch!! This is the second mediocre visit in the last few months. I’ll wait a bit and try one final time.
We lived in Dallas for 26 years and we often ate at the original Cantina Loredo there, so we were thrilled when the came to JAX!
Went for NYE and the service and atmosphere was AMAZING! Our waiter was excellent and fun. The special menu was incredible and way more food than we could handle. Drinks were on point as always.
Service was excellent. Food awesome as always.
Happy Hour is a freakin joke. You can only get it if you have room In your bar area. Then! You only offer margarita or house wine? Are you serious ?
Our reservation was for 4:45. We got there on time. I called ahead to see if I could change it to 5:30– Was told no we couldn’t, however the place was pretty empty until about 7.
Do you have a 14 year old running this place or what ?
Always great food.
Cantina Laredo is a always very good. The service was fast and the guacamole was excellent!
Had lunch outside, it was nice and the table side guacamole is delicious!!
Always great food and service, Usual server is Ashley ,however, she was off that day, Still great food and service.
Server Jeff seemed new and inexperienced. Very flustered and almost mixed up our checks, then almost gave us someone else’s card and came back a second time to ask if we wanted to split the checks even though I had already given him my card.
Food good, sever very nice.. just took
A little long for food to arrive.
Normally, I love Cantina Laredo. On this night, the food and drinks weren't worth the money. Rice was greasy and the drinks were loaded with ice but little alcohol.
Excellent food and fantastic customer service. Our server was super.
Food was great and service was great!
Food was great as always. Love the homemade Guac! Always good service and appreciate the specials they offer.
food was excellent, drinks were great, dessert was enjoyed by all who partook, and service was impeccable.
Truly upscale Mexican food. Our server was Tori and very helpful.
Brunch dishes have gotten smaller, presentation is not what it used to be.
