Awesome spinach enchiladas! The salsas were flavorful (warm one spicy, cold one great flavor even though it was mild.)
Server was attentive and helpful. Margarita with a slice of jalapeño out of this world.
I highly recommend cantina Laredo
During a busy trade show we were able to get reservations for a table. We were seated promptly. Our server, while only at the job for three weeks was attentive and knew the menu well. We felt well taken care of and had an enjoyable evening.
We were very please to find a new restaurant near the theater complex. The food was delicious and the service was great! We'll be back
Food is prepared fresh and was tasty. Some felt their meal too spicy but don't think they like much heat. I would say the heat was just right. Next time I would think to ask if they could adjust the spice for those with concerns. Service was off for a slow night but thinking they were short staffed and everyone was pitching in, bartender and host. So they were trying. I didn't realize this is a chain. Does not feel like a chain restaurant which is a plus. I would go again.
This restaurant just opened within 2 months of our visit so I attribute some shortcomings to that....
Food was "ok". Not great. Chips thin and crispy but greased-soaked.
No iced tea? Maker didn't work so too bad. $2.00 side of Guac was 1 1/2 tablespoons. Coffee was $4.00. Too bad it was just lukewarm. We asked for a warmup and waitress took our cups back to the kitchen......what's up with that. Returned full but just a little warmer....not hot. Ice cream came mostly melted and soupy. Service was so-so......waitress was attentive but scattered and unfocused. May try another time and see if improved.
Service was very slow, especially for not being busy. The staff seemed unorganized and was confused about what they should be doing. The food was good. Highly recommend the hot salsa (served warm). I will definitely give this restaurant another chance, for the hot salsa if nothing else.
I have been to Cantina laredo's all over the country. This one had a smaller menu and as someone who needs to do have gluten free, there were less options. The meal I had was okay but not as good as another restaurants around the country. The service was slow. The waiter blamed the slow drinks on the bar being backed up but in reality, he just never went back to the bar to check on his orders. I like the Cantina Laredo restaurant but this one would not be my first choice to go back to.
Horrible service. I had to get up and get my own water refill. I asked for the manager and she was too busy talking on her cell phone to come visit my table. $100 for that kind of service is ridiculous. when I confronted the manager on her way out she acted like she didn’t have a clue what I was talking about.
This Cantina Laredo is not like any other location I've been to. Upon arriving, you realize the location is questionable, the ambiance is lacking and the set-up of the restaurant is plain bizarre. The food and drinks are not up to par with the other Cantina's I've visited. The experience was lacking to say the least.
My new favorite Mexican restaurant in downtown D! Those infused margaritas are pretty amazing...
