The food was just average for the price. I've had much better tacos at other restaurants in Chicago for a cheaper price.

The place is nice and the food is excellent! The noise is quite annoying sometimes so I’d rather recommend this place for a casual dinner with friends and family and have parties!

It was just okay. We have dined here several times but they have now changed the menu so not as many selections as before. My husband was not happy with his choice but ate it because he knows that I love Mexican. You can tell the difference in the food not as great as it used to be. Don’t think we will be returning to dine. Would possibly stop in for a quick drink before dinner someplace else as their bar is great.

I have been here multiple times and always come back for the same item on the menu. Never a disappointment. The food is mouthwatering. I would recommend this place for a nice night out. The only thing I found over priced was the guac mix, but I guess it's because you get to watch it being made. Nonetheless, great place, friendly staff. Oh yeah, also maybe it's just me, but they need to turn up the lighting in there! Otherwise, the restuarant is very inviting and lively.

Nice place and decent service but the food was just to plain for me. I had the chicken fajitas and their was a whole lot of onions and like 3 peppers. The chicken was moist and juicy but flavor less. Rice was good. My visit was ok but I’ve had better Latin food for cheaper.

First walking into Cantina Laredo me and my date waited at the main entrance for 5 minutes before our hostess became available to seat us. Upon being seated we never received service from a waiter/waitress until 15 minutes where I personality called over a waiter to assist us. The lack of service put a poor taste in my mouth and was the worst part of the dining experience.

Our server Jesus was excellent however and really made an effort to make things right. He recognized our frustration and took our drink order without officially being our sever (he eventually signed himself up which was appreciated). The peach paloma cocktail was enjoyable, table side guacamole was fresh, and the mahi mahi tacos were fine. My favorite part of the night was the mango tres leches. It's important for me to share that had it not been for Jesus, I was ready to walk out of the restaurant.

The dining experience was not overpriced and the food was enjoyable, however due to the initial lack of service I am skeptical on returning.

I had lunch at Cantina Laredo during Restaurant week. The lunch menu choices were fantastic, and the Tres Leches cake with mango was outstanding. I also loved my margarita, which went great with the thin and crispy chips and chioptle salsa. Great experience with stellar service, too.

The first time I went to Cantina Laredo, I enjoyed the food quite a bit. This time around, the food was lacking big time. Despite being the second table filled in the restaurant, we were stuck in a corner by the windows where it was absolutely freezing. Both my girlfriend and I needed to put our jackets back on to keep from shivering. The soup came out barely got warm and our steaks came out cooked completely wrong. Despite telling our server we were limited on time, she took forever to do anything and everything. Sadly, I won’t be going back again.

We went here for Restaurant Week and found the food to be very disappointing. We are glad we did the prix fix menu, and did not spend too much money here. We would not come back nor would we recommend this to anyone. We did not like their Carne Asada. Its fatty and not too tasty. We did not like the churro chocolate sauce either - seemed processed. The berries was good, but how can anyone ruin fresh berries. The only thing I really liked was the Ahi Tuna tacos as the first course. There are too many restaurants in that area. I believe they will need to step up their game on the food or they will find that they will not last too long.

We were there for Chicago Restaurant Week. I could not be more pleased with the customer service and the food. The staff was very helpful, although I made reservations, we were running late. Not only did they hold our table but they were so understanding. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing. I will definitely come back and bring my daughter, she loves Mexican food!

Went here for lunch during Chicago Restaurant week. We had a great server along with a great meal. Food was much better than the run of the Mexican places. Both our meals were unique and well prepared. Quick service.

We were in Chicago for a trade show and the hotel recommended Cantina Laredo and boy are we glad they did. Food was excellent and the table made Top Shelf Guacamole was some of the best I have ever had. If you like Mexican I strongly recommend you try Cantina Laredo.

Great Mexican restaurant right off of Michigan Avenue. My family dined there for lunch on Saturday. We had 4 adults and 2 children. It was busy but the restaurant is spread out so you get a large table, it's not too loud and you don't feel overcrowded. Menu is large with lots of great options (veg options too if you don't eat meat). Food was excellent - everyone enjoyed. Prices were reasonable - most plates were around $15 each. There is a kids menu that has Mexican and standard American food on it . The margaritas are awesome - we had the Cabo Flip that comes with a shot of tequila. Would recommend this if you are out shopping and looking for a fun, casual lunch spot with great food. Check it out.

Came by after a show at Water Tower Place's Broadway Theatre. Decor is very modern - straight, clean lines, recessed lighting, two fireplaces, and a sizeable bar area. Food was pretty good - standard Mexican fare but turned up a notch or so. Our server was very clearly oversat, but she did a fantastic job handling all of her tables. We felt bad for her; it seemed like none of the servers were really having much of a good time. Overall, a very 20-something, "Bro-ey" vibe; we felt a bit out of place, and were looking forward to leaving by the end of our meal. Likely won't be back.
