The place is very nice and the services was excellent. However, I went for lunch on a Sunday and it was converted to a Brunch buffet. The restaurant had just started to do brunches and you can tell that they need to get a hang of it. The quality of food was good but for the price better selections would be more feasible. However, the special on the champagne for the quality of champagne was very good. Definitely, I will be going back and do recommend.
We were there for Sunday brunch. Great selections. Excellent food. Service was good. Must check it out when in the area.
They auto include 18% tip at bar without giving you a copy of the breakdown. They do the same at the dinner table. The receipt they bring does not reflect it and ask to add it Overall nice place to enjoy a few drinks.
I was extremely disappointed. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday dinner and made a note with my reservation to please sing happy birthday when i ordered dessert, that did not happen. Our server , Thalia, was very rude, she never introduced herself , and didn’t seem to care about us at all.
We went to celebrate my daughter’s 18 birthday. The reservation was made with this note but it was totally ignored. Not a single detail.
Excellent food, drinks and service. Server Elizabeth was exceptional. Mariachis are the best.
Food is amazing, excellent service
Great place for its food quality and atmosphere. Never a disappointment...
Food was excellent and so was the ambiance. Beautiful view of the bay. Wonderful Mariachi group that played for an hour or so. Videos of popular musicians projected against wall later in the evening. We stayed until 2pm!
Muy agradable y sabroso
Food was amazingly delicious
Would go back again
Spectacular environment. So beautiful. Amazing staff. But the unexpected and brilliantly talented mariachi band raised the experience to the top! Great time.
Súper rico autentico sabor
Very attentive and helpful
To begin with, prior to going I called and specifically asked for a table downstairs by the bar, and was told ok, when I arrived that was not the case, instead we were given a table in front of the noisy kitchen, therefore I asked our waiter to please move us and he did an amazing job at trying to accommodate us, when I initially called the restaurant, I asked how does the mariachi work? They said that they sing to everyone, I requested them to sing happy birthday to my sister over the phone prior to going and was told ok, never did they advise that I could request other songs for extra money! I certainly would of payed for more songs! Instead they came over sang happy birthday to her once! And we had to watch as they sang 2 to 3 songs to everyone else! I asked my waiter if we could have them come back to sing again and he said he would! However moments later the manager comes over and says that they cannot come back to us for some unknown reason! Our waiter was wonderful and very accommodating however the manager seemed very annoyed that I was asking for things that should of been already provided!!!! Because I called ahead to make sure of it! I’m not saying they were discriminating against us! However I will say I was the only black latina there and so was my friend! Makes me wonder if this had something to do with it!
Extremely over rated. Food was ok. Don't know what the hype is all about. Spent 315.00 and went home hungry.
Everything was amazing! Jorge was the best!
The restaurant was empty on an early Sunday night. Previously we had dined on more lovely evenings (Thursday- Saturday) when the mariachi light up the room. This evening it was emptier than Kansas. Our server was pleasant enough but there is a hustle to sell bottled water, too many expensive appetizers ($21 tuna tartare) and over priced margaritas ($ 17 each). Food quality was good, furniture a bit tired looking (leather chairs are cracking) but we enjoyed the views of the river and high ceiling, cool art work. A/C was not working the night we dined and it makes you wonder how a restaurant that charges these prices can't find a 24 hour serviceman?
We of course had reservations thru open table but at last minute my party increased from 2 to 6. I had to call the restaurant and they were able to accommodate all of us 1/2 hour earlier which was nice of them.
Valet Parking is very expensive but they are very attentive. Food portions are small and expensive so it was the Margarita we had which was worth it as for me was the best of all we ate and drank.
They sat us on the lower level and at first I was disappointed but after seeing the view it was great. Not sure we will be back but it was a very nice night
Unfortunately, it seems to us that the quality of the food at Cantina La Veinte has declined. Service was not particularly good -- we first ordered drinks, then several minutes later, the food, but both drinks and all the food ordered were brought to the table together. We would have much preferred having the drinks first, and then the food; also, not all the food ordered should be brought at once. Some of the food was not sufficiently warm. The wait staff was not well coordinated -- in fact, they seemed new at their jobs. Halfway through our dinner (around 8:15-8:30pm) they began to play recorded music at a very loud volume, so we could no longer talk. We have been to this restaurant several times before and enjoyed it very much, but this time we did not have a nice time. I doubt we will return.
Staff was friendly, food was great. Really uses a Mexican flavor with local products. A restaurant with true Mexican roots and flavors.
Todo estuvo excelente menos el mesero que nos atendió :s pero la comida es rica y el ambiente bueno,
Excellent everything was spectacular
Love the place views ambiance food and services I was extremely pleased.
Service was uninspired, food was average at best with the only exception of the short rib which was great. did not felt like i got my moneys worth . valet parking was expensive, $15 for 2 hours and 15 mins.
Great server jenn, food was excellent
Wonderful place!! Great food, and the golden margaritas were to die for😍
Moderate Mexican food quality in great surroundings (right hear water) but crazy expensive and we are used to NY prices!
Cantina La Veinte serves good and authentic Mexican food. The food is overpriced for what you get (size of the dishes and ingredients). The Margaritas are extremely good. There was live music, which was nice. But the Mariachi seemed to be more touristy than truly Mexican. The ambience is very vibrant (a bit too loud) and the seating area is nice, and downstairs everything is open so you can enjoy the good weather.
I’ve had better seasoned food at Taco Bell. Plus they had an 18% auto gratuity for my party of three. I Guess they need to do that to keep waiters from quitting because I doubt anyone would tip them for that food quality. To top it all of they charged $32 for a double jack daniels drink and the entire meal was $300 for three people, which is outrageous for what we got. I would definitely not recommend this place.
The food is very expensive and of the drinks even more so. The worst part, is that the pricing is not transparent. I ordered two Mojitos and was charge $44, to my surprise. It is rather unfortunate that they price list is not readily available at the bar. The food is mediocre but very expensive. However, the crowd is trendy and lots of young people get together.
They made us wait 1.5 hours for the tsble although we had the reservation.
The restaurant is beautiful and it has a great view. The food was good, but the portion size is not proportional to the prices in the menu, we had Margaritas that were really good, but also pricey. I would definetely go back, but only for cocktails.
The seafood I ordered was not well cooked. The Pisco Sour I asked for could not be prepared since they run out of Pisco...really? In a posh Latin American restaurant?
Expensive but great great place to go and the mariachis are amazing
Wonderful restaurant but our service. Was not as good as on previous visits. Not the waiters fault but drinks and appetizers very delayed. Also the mariachi band was extremely loud and intrusive and did not know good Mexican music.
The decor of this restaurant is beautiful. Everything about this place is very enjoyable, from the drinks to the music, and ofcourse the FOOD!!! Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone.
This place screams Miami. I went for dinner and it was dinner with a view of the Brickell skyline and the Miami River. The lighting outside is super cool and after you eat theres a nice little boardwalk to take a stroll. It has a happy hour ambience, but Im from Miami so I loved the music and people dancing while I was eating. After we ate, we hungout by the bar, danced then took a stroll. Food is okay (I don’t like Mexican food). Overall, I recommend it to anyone who likes a good time. If you want an elegant, boring dinner this place is not for you.
