Cantina La Veinte
With the leading role, we have our monumental bars along with one of the larges tequila and mezcal selection in town and our bar manager created delicious and sophisticate cocktails.
Every cantina is a cultural expression of the place where it is found.
Gastronomy-wise, we have an extensive menu of Mexican Cuisine dishes, offering representative dishes of each state of the country, with traditional techniques and recipes (handmade tortilla, sauces made in a molcajete ), along with avant-garde techniques such as vacuum cooking, spherification, foam, etc. We constantly update our menu and the chef’s recommendations with new and top quality ingredients.
ONLY our Brunch Menu served Sundays between 12:30PM-4PM

We are Miami Beach residents and stopped in this new place for lunch and a walk to explore this part of downtown. Lunch proved an excellent way to try out Cantina. For $25, diners get an appetizer, entree and dessert, all of reasonable portions. And $5 margaritas! (But a tiny glass of ice tea was also $5, and when we were asked if we'd like another, we were charged another $5. Bad form, imho). Each category was a difficult choice because many interesting choices were listed. We ended up with roasted cauliflower with beautiful seasonings and a tiny queso fondue with tortillas for appetizers; and grilled octopus with crispy kale and cochinita pibil (slow-roasted pork) with achiote spices; and pistachio cake with ice cream and (recommended with good reason by our server) tiny rolled crepes with an exquisite cajeta sauce (goat's milk caramel sauce). We also ended up with churros by mistake, and they were excellent too. Everything just shouted authentic. The restaurant itself looks out on the water. But it's filled with Mexican art to admire, including a life-size bullfighting uniform in a frame. (And don't miss the beautiful wooden Art Deco host station.) At lunch it was only a third full and nicely quiet. Our server was helpful and accommodating. The only negative: Parking for the building is $11 for an hour and a half (not enough time) and $19 for up to 4 hours, with no discount for being a patron of the restaurant.
Cantina La Veinte is one of the best spots in Miami for a special occasion. The food is outstanding and creative, and the service is the best I've ever experienced -- really!!
The entire experience was great ❤️ The food and service was excellent!
The decor was beautiful and we had a seat looking over the water. The jumbo prawns were delicious. The fish wasn’t worth what it costed. They had a live mariachi band playing. Good food but it was a bit too pricey.
Sensationell gutes mexikanisches Essen und tolles Ambiente
Loved this restaurant located right on the Miami River in Brickell. The food was really great, the view nice, and our server, Mario, especially great. We had a few small plates: the queso fundido, the chicken sopes (made just like what we love in Mexico!), the shrimp & pork sopes, and yummy guacamole. The tortillas and chips were just like those we get in Mexico as well. We would definitely go back!
The restaurant was closed. The one employee on site did not care that we made reservations. Horrible service from both the restaurant and Open Table (which I use a lot) to allow reservations on dates that the restaurant is closed
I arrived in time, having made a reservation at 9:30 PM, the place was packed. The hostess informed us that they don’t have my table ready and that it will take one hour and a half on average to sit us, which I found unprofessional and rude. Our whole party wait at the bar for maybe an hour and we were debating wether staying, so I asked again. This time they got us a table, but a table downstairs at a corner by some kitchen counter, looked like a cafe area: very dark, very noisy, clearly improvised. I complained and just then they moved us to a better table. They could accommodate my friend request for his dinner choice, he is vegetarian. I found this place needs to stop taking reservations and not honoring them.
Muy rica la comida y la atención excelente
Great atmosphere if you’re looking to have a dinner that ends in a night of dancing. Wednesday ladies night: Free margaritas (at the bar) from 6-10 pm. Expect a large crowd, loud environment, and an overall solid time. Highly recommend!
Great food, fun atmosphere. Pleasantly surprised.
Awesome food and fun
Some issues, with the table. I never said I want downstairs. To me that like being outside and I have on my profile no outside. I didn't appreciate, if I made the reservations with a week in advance not to be seated upstairs.
Then the waiter had issues with the drinks. Of course you forget about all this with the view.
Seabass dish is the best dish I have ever had.....simply exquisite!!!
Great food and ambiance! Small plates are a great way to try different dishes. Mariachi band was a surprise but fun and they keep their sessions relatively short.
Wonderful atmosphere in a nice venue with mariachi singers
Beautiful restaurant with good food, but the two huge screen projection screens playing soccer definitely will kill any mood or occasion. Staff, manager and Mariachis all more concerned with the soccer game on the screens than their guest.
Celebrating my husbands birthday, what a disappointment! Will not recommend
The live music (the mariachis) was the main reason for us to go I we do not enjoy it, looks like was a cheep one because the did not even get close to us
Food came and was not too hot. A little pricey for what you get.
Service was a bit slow. Hard to get servers attention despite giving a pretty solid effort. Food was hit or miss. I couldn't justify the price for the food, but the ambiance is worth the price. Great drinks too! Mariachi band took a bit long to make their way downstairs but put in a great show once they did.
Birthday dinner with friends
Good gourmet style Mexican food.
Drinks are great!!!
Elizabeth at the bar is wonderful!
Very disappointing. Fixed lunch menu only, limited items.
The food is a real disaster, Mexican people please do not go
I was so disappointed because we wanted to stay in the main room to hear love music but they sat us downstairs and told us there was no love music at all
Which was wrong - I also asked to the hostess and said there was no live music
When we finished I confronted her because the love musicians were hard and she just told me to sit at the bar and spend some more on cocktails to hear music. I will never go there again I really did not appreciate being lied to.
The restaurant is suppose to open at 12 noon on weekdays, so when i went there was 12:05 and when i walked in, a gentleman, i assume he was the manager, approached me and said the restaurant is still not open? wow really? well what are the hours? it clearly states the restaurant has to open daily at 12. So i had to wait till 12:10. The service was also very poor, as one server started to wait on me, and later he said that another server will continue without giving me further explanation why is that? which made me very unwelcomed. I felt very unwelcomed and uninvited there. Will not come back and please do not reply at all.
Food was exceptional. Noise level made conversation difficult but still a great experience
First year anniversary
It was an amazing night... the place just gives you energy.
This is a very nice Mexican style restaurant but it does have some drawbacks. To start with it’s very expensive. The food is good but not exceptional. Downstairs the room is very dark and the print on the menu time. Well we all have cell phones I suppose.
Service is ok but a bit unfriendly.
Waiter George was excellent. My vegan cilantro rice with vegetables was very tasty.
Also for vegans I recommend the beet salad.
I told George I was vegan and he did an excellent job making sure all my food was right.
Not happy with the place... I would send a private note to business owner
Good food, good music.
Loved the experience! Best Margaritas in town!!! Our waiter, Julio, was great giving us advice on what drinks and food to order. Definitely coming back!
Perfect like always. I never miss Cantina La 20 while visiting Miami.
El guacamole estuvo muy malo. Pedimos que nos lo cambiaran y el mesero no quiso hacerlo. La comida en general no estuvo rica.
Nos cobraron doble en la tarjeta de crédito.. nos dimos cuenta dos dias después.
Lunch menu is similar to Miami Spice where you choose 3 courses from a set list. Food is great, however this is NOT a good place for a quick lunch.
En realidad fue una cena familiar
Delish and very good service. Live music and good drinks
