We really enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back again! Loved the carnitas tacos, ceviche and flan! Very excited to have a great place to go close to home:)

The food was excellent and the service was very good - but a bit too hurried to order. Maybe it's a suburbs expectation? We really enjoyed the restaurant and it's fresh, delicious food. Could be a bit more heavy handed on the spicyness but, again, maybe it's a suburban thing? The starters were wonderful - especially the ceviches. Looking forward to coming back and trying the suckling pig.

Excellent Mexican food with an interesting menu. Prices are a little high (for Mexican) but given the quality of the food it was definitely worth the visit. We will certainly return.

This is my third time here and I won't be rushing back. The menu leaves a lot to be desired. I settled on a beef fajita and the beef was tough and stringy.

I'm an adventurous diner but they had items way over the top like a taco with Korean BBQ beef and kimchee. What is that, Korexican food?

We love the food and have dined here a number of times, but on a bustling Saturday night, we have to yell to be heard by others at our table. We go for the food. Service and management are wonderful.

We want so badly to LOVE this restaurant but the food is just not that great. It does do a great business and we always feel like the waitress is rushing us out to give our table to the next customer.

On a Saturday night, the restaurant was hopping and noisy. The food was delicious. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. The drinks were also terrific and so, after a few, we didn't mind having to yell to be heard at our table for six. Everyone enjoyed their dinners.

Traveled from NYC to Ft. Washington, PA for Cantina. As always, worth the drive. Had the WILD MUSHROOM HUARACHE, CARNITAS TACOS AND BLACK BASS. If they ever take the black bass off the menu I will probably wither away and die from starvation. It's that good. We asked for more salsa this time, since we basically drink it it's so good, and they brought literal soup bowls....and yes, we finished them. Also, we usually don't get dessert at Cantina, it's just not as strong as their food however, the lemon tart with avocado sorbet was delectable. The creamy, mild avocado sorbet was the perfect compliment to the tart lemon flavor. I will say it again, if you are in the Ft. Washington area, you HAVE to go here.

My husband let me know he really wanted to try this restaurant after reading about it, possibly in Philadelphia Magazine? We absolutely loved the entire evening. The only problem we had was deciding which dish to get! Our dinner group included 2 others and this meant we got to order 4 appetizers and 4 entrees and everyone shared a little bit of each. We also each got a different drink and they were such great blends! Oh, and if we weren't already so full and so happy, we sprung for desserts! An absolute gem and delicious fresh flavors. Highly recommend.

Some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. I started with the wild mushroom huaraches which was amazing, followed by pulled pork tacos and a side of the best retried beans I've ever had. The only negative is the price of items, which is a bit high.c

We got fish tacos (tilapia w/ slaw, avocado & two dressings on thr side - one was an avocado creme and the other was a chipotle creme - both great!), guac w/ fruit and the crab fundido. All was fantastic! Waitress was very attentive. We had a 7:45 reservation and had to wait about 10 mins. for our table - not so bad. Reservations recommended

We live in Glenside and it is difficult to find really good dining like you would get in the city. We go as often as we can and bring our 2 year old every time. We always leave happy about our experience.

We got there at 6:45 to take advantage of the bar menu and the lower cost for drinks. Everything we had was spectacular. I had Ceviche Verde: hiramasa, honeydew vinaigrette, jalapeno, & lime sorbet. Cool, refreshing, and a surprisingly large portion of hiramasa. All the ingredients complimented each other. My dinner partner had Peach Huarache for his appetizer...and he says he doesn't like fancy food! For entrees we chose from the Bar menu so the portions were just a bit smaller. I had 2 Carnitas Tacos with outstanding pulled pork. My partner had Baja Fish Taco (without sauce, foolish soul) and was disappointed that the fish was fried altho it does not say so on the menu. Both were spectacular. Gourmet all the way! GO!

Great fish tacos. Mango Margarita was too sweet. Very noisy and hard to hear-so not a great placed for intimate conversations. Bar seating for eating was very uncomfortable. Food is really good and fresh.

I like it here. The margaritas are good, they have some nice local beers on tap and the dishes I like, I really like: Chop salad, gazpacho, wild mushroom huarche, chicken, vegetable and short rib enchiladas, mole poblano and the corn. However, I personally am not a fan of the tacos. While some of the flavors are good, carnitas especially, I think the tacos are too small for the price. The fish tacos are very uninteresting and the weakest on the menu. The service has always been good and any issues that come up are always fixed with a smile. The main room can be a bit noisy but if it's dinner for two the seats by the windows are nice.

Very good food. No chips, no bread provided. Everything is a-la-cart - portions are small. If you order Enchiladas, that's all you get. No rice, no beans. The normal "side dishes" that fill a plate, and adds to the presentation, are an extra $4 each, for a small portion. This is restaurant cost-cutting taken to the extreme. And, it turns a moderately priced weekday night out into an expensive evening.

The food has been better on prior visits. Had to ask a few times for refill on chips but otherwise, the wait staff was attentive. The menu is creative, but the fish entrees were in the mid twenties and the basic Mexican food was in the 12-15 range, making fish way too expensive. The flavors were not up to par.

One of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. For a Saturday night everyone here was remarkable. The service was efficient and friendly, from when we arrived to getting our check in a timely manner.
The food was very good and the portions were just right!
My only suggestions would be to consider making the skinny Margarita with Blue Agave. We have had that at another restaurant in New York and it tasted better. Also, the wine list needs some higher end wines.

Overall: very nice dining experience. We tried several different things so that everyone could have a variety of choices. The nachos and the shrimp coriza (sp?) where highlights on the appetizers and the mushroom tacos where entree highlights. While the food was summarily very good, the place has a 'happy' feel to it. The art on the walls is colorful and at times bizarre (people holding hands with skeletons for example) but all seems to fit with the Mexican ambiance. Our server was friendly and efficent If it tells anything, we saw 3 different sets of local friends there. A good sign for a 'Neighborhood Gem". Lastly one of our co-diners was pregnant and a bit fussy and they were very good at accomodate her off the meny requests.
