I just don't get why this Mexican Restaurant is so highly rated by Philadelphia Inquirer Food Critic Craig Laban. Hasn't he had Mexican food at other restaurants? It is good but nothing extraordinary that you couldn't get elsewhere including some better Mexican Chain Restaurants. Don't make a special trip but dine here if you are in the area. Watch the Happy Hour Specials when it comes time to paying the Bill. They have a habit of charging regular prices.

We ate there Saturday night and the place was packed, but the way the rooms divide up the noise level was low. The Tuna guacamole was very good, I thought that the tuna was gilding the lily but my son loved it. I had the steak tacos they were self assemble and they were good, the portion size was large. I had the Corn side dish and my son had the refried beans which could have been a meal in themselves. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Over all a good place, I shall return.

Went to meet a friend for restaurant week. The menu was quite extensive, the service was above par, and the food came out very quickly. I had the ceviche which was very fresh and clean tasting. My friend had the crab fundida which was amazing. For the main course, I had the brisket tacos which were delicious. I had a couple traditional margeritas which were very tasty and had some kick to them. I would advise going during happy hour as there was about a $2 discount on the margeritas vs regular price, but definitely worth it.

Amazing food, drinks and food drink runners! Our server had An awful attitude stating when asked if she would like to take our dinner order said I can walk and chew gum at the same time! The food was amazing just wish we had a different server!

First of all, the entire staff was super friendly and helpful! The housemade guacamole and chips were an amazing starter!! While I thought it an interesting taco choice, the Mushroom Tacos with asparagus were very tasty. I really enjoyed the touch of cheese and the flavor of the mushrooms. The asparagus was a little crunchy but I did enjoy the added flavor. I would definitely get this dish again.

We had such a great time here. Met up with some friends for restaurant week and so glad that this was our choice! 3 courses for only $24 and the servings were pretty sizable. The staff were a lot of fun, too - thanks for putting up with our tortilla chip obsession. We got a pitcher of sangria which was perfect for three people. It was pretty packed for a Tuesday, so I would imagine it's even busier on the weekends - I would recommend making a reservation. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a mini birthday party for a friend. The food, window seat, and service were all great. We had a fun, relaxing meal and celebration. Our server was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive which was the perfect balance of service. Thank you.

The guacamole and white sangria were delicious. But the service was rushed, the atmosphere on the porch where we were seated was bland and sterile, and the fish tacos were the worst I've ever eaten.

Excellent food, so many guacamole choices! Margaritas are exactly what you want.

Not the best for large group reservations, would recommend calling at least 1-2 weeks in advance for parties larger than 4.

Great Mexican food that is clearly several notches above most other places in the area. Focus is on fresh ingredients and amazing subtlety in spices. Highly recommended!

Great local place for mexican food. The food is consistently good. Best nachos I've ever eaten. The fish tacos were delicious, almost as good as the ones we had on the beach in Islamorada.

Totally enjoyed ourselves! Siblings and spouses gathered to take our mother out. The atmosphere was fun. Food and drinks were great! Standouts were the Brisket Nachos, Chorizo Queso Fundido and the Bass special. Wish we had known about the pig...we SO would have ordered one (3 days in advance). Next time!

They really have the best guacamole (which is notably cheaper at lunch) and I love their chips. There are many types of tequilla although I am quite happy with their regular Margarita. They serve some creative entrees. We enjoyed the Bacon & Brussels Sprouts Huarache and Brisket Enchiladas. I previously had the fish tacos which were wonderful. The decor is bright and colorful.

We always love a fun dinnner at Cantina my family and I come regularly and enjoy it very much. Definitely get chip & guac for the table! The mushroom huarache is seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten...we get it everytime and love it!! The tuna cevich tacos are outstanding (my son actually gets 2 orders of them as his entree). The grilled chicken (that I alway add to the Chop salad and it comes with the El Carbon taco) is the most tender and delicious grilled chicken you will ever eat...not an exaggeration!!

Our waittress Alena was fabulous, very energetic and made several good suggestions. The special appetizer, grilled octupus was exceptional and so was the special entree, the braised short ribs. We still wish they would put the Tres Leches dessert back on the dessert menu though in this instance we were too full to eat a dessert. The food was exceptional.

Always a good trip to this authentic Mexican restaurant. My wife has several food allergies and the chef (and the wait staff) always bend over backwards to ensure her needs are met. Parking can be a little tight, but once inside there is ample room for patrons. The menu can be overwhelming, but the servers are very knowledgeable and can help you find the right meal to fit your tastes. It can be a bit noisy depending on the size of the parties (and the age - it is a kid-friendly restaurant). All-in-all, we have dined here now dozens of times despite not being local. We have recommended it to friends who have thanked us for the tip. Give it a try, they have yet to disappoint us.

One issue - I asked to have leftovers wrapped and when the server was collecting plates, she dropped a small dish that had had some sauce in it on the floor. She picked it up and set it ON THE PLATE NEXT TO MY LEFTOVER FOOD! I was appalled as the other dish had been on the FLOOR! Gross!! They did not touch but she had another empty plate she could have set the dirty dish on. Please school your staff on good and safe practices with food!! I hesitate to recommend based on this.

Cantina Feliz never fails to satisfy. Welcoming environment, great margaritas, and satisfying food. Whether you want filling dishes or more healthy options, you will find what you want. I like the al carbon tacos- perfectly seasoned steak, chicken, or fish that I can eat with the soft taco or alone. The service is always cheerful and well-timed.
