Cantina Dos Segundos
Whatever dish you choose at Cantina Dos Segundos, you will be able to wash it down with a great beverage of your choice. The full in-house bar will make for many great gatherings, family get togethers or corporate parties.
Love this place. Great drinks and food.
Loved the food and the wait staff was great, but the place was so hot with no A/C and no ventilation. As well the room is very loud. Not sure if A/C was broken, or just not able to keep up with the heat, but not comfortable to eat/chat in this environment. Would go back, but def not during the hotter weather.
One of my favorites, roomier than other establishments and you feel welcomed each and every time!
The food was alright. It definitely wasn’t anything to write home about. 5/10
Great food but a bit loud for a dinner conversation.
Slow service. Overcharged for happy hour items. Consulted with the “manager” who said he would fix it. He did not. Would not recommend. Much better Mexican food in the city.
Great spot but way too loud inside, turn the music down. Food was fantastic
The food was excellent and we didn’t have to wait long for food. However our waiter was terrible. He was quiet and unfriendly. He didn’t come and check if we needed anything the whole time we were there (which was almost 3 hours because he disappeared). I would go again but hope for a different waiter.
So accommodating for a large party! Thank you!
They have enough vegetarian options. Our server was able to handle our large party of 18! Blood orange margarita pitcher was okay, the spicy margarita by the glass was fab! Appetizers were on the sweet side - friend plantains & cauliflower empanadas. Guacamole & enchiladas were good. The Brussels sprouts bowl was fantastic! Hard to find parking
Wow--service was terrible tonight. Waiter forgot to put in one person's order (out of 5), never brought our chips & salsa despite asking multiple times, they tried to bring us 2 drinks that weren't ours....and then put one of them on the bill (when we called it out, he was just like "oh yeah that must've been that table behind you"...what?! And you just leave it on our check?). And had to ask for check multiple times to begin with. Food was good but took off a star for the margaritas which were overly sweet and seemed like they had hardly any tequila.
3 out of 5 of us have been before and enjoy the food, but we agreed this was the worst service we've had there.
Had about 16 people for a birthday dinner. We ordered about 10 pitchers of margs and barely felt a thing, so we asked if they could make them stronger. After they did supposedly, we still barely felt a thing. Service was average, but there was a lot of us and it was busy that night so we understood. Food was the best part about the meal. Everything was correct when it came out and it was very good. In conclusion, we were all very stuffed, but sober, at the end of the night.
When I clicked on directions for the restaurant from the Open Table App I was brought a very roundabout way to the wrong location which was a VERY bad part of the city. The actual restaurant was 2 miles away! The restaurant is actually in a very nice neighborhood... once we got there.
I am not into authentic Mexican food so this was perfect for me. I would love to go back again.
Waitress took for ever to take our order. Brought glasses of water but no straws. We were a group of 8 and only brought one basket of nacho and salsa. Not enough utensil on the table for 8 members. Food was delicious although small serving for the price.
The food was great! I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be returning. Our server was okay, he didn’t really interact well with us but that did not affect my experience.
Great fajitas and drinks. Good for a group and fun music. Perfect for a snowy day.
I have always loved Cantina Dos Segundo. The food, service, and environment are always on point!
the food was good but the portions small and served like bar food and not dinner. the shrimp fajitas had a small amount of small shrimp but a lot of peppers the waiter was busy but did not even think to clear all our dirty dishes and we had to try to find help to do that. margaritas were very weak lovely atmosphere probably better for happy hour and snacks
The food was absolutely delicious; however, the service wasn't good at all. We were missing sides for our orders, our drinks remained empty for a VERY long time, and the discussed-and-requested gluten-free entree arrived with flour tortillas. We're all reasonable people, and we understand that things might occasionally be missed when a restaurant is busy. Unfortunately, there were too many overlooked items for us to rate the service any higher.
Nickel and dime would be putting it delicately... side of sour cream with your quesadilla that cane with none? $2.00... flavor the margarita pitcher with store bought sour mix? Another $7.00... you want the “fresh” chips instead of the out of the bag Tostitos? Extra $$. And the “fresh” chips that came with the guacamole to split with the table? They give you twenty. For a party of 6. Save your money and go to center city or Fairmount. Same price and might seem more expensive but at the end of the day it’ll be the same price and better. There’s no reason to pay this type of money for this type of food or service, it’s unfortunate, had high hopes for this place.
Great casual but tasty food at very reasonable prices, very friendly servers
The ambiance was great, such a cute colorful little place! The service was very quick and our food came out very timely as well. We got the carne asada enchiladas and they were delicious! The margarita was also great, especially did $6. Loved the churros for dessert! Would definitely go back! Also would be a cute place to just go for drinks at the bar. Fully stocked bar with a couple of bartenders!
I grew up in south Texas, just a few miles from Mexico. One of my favorite dishes from Mexico is cabrito (BBQ baby goat); you almost never see it on a menu in the US. I ordered the cabrito burrito. FANTASTIC!
....and they make good Margaritas and guacamole. Brunch is served every day--I'm going back for huevos rancheros asap.
