Too much sour mix in margaritas, meals came out lukewarm. Food tasted fine. Would be willing to give another chance.
Love this place!!!
It was really nice the tables made it intimate with the candles
Though we had our reservation set for close to 3 weeks, we were placed at an uncomfortable small high top table. I kept getting bumped, my guest were cold because it was so closed to the door. They obviously overbooked. I generally have a great experience at this restaurant but it’s usually because I have come before 6 pm. Also the food tasted bland. When my guest asked for an option that was not spicy, what she received was super spicy.
The food and service is always just mediocre.
neighborhood go-to. one of my favorites in philly. will be back again and again and otra vez
Service was slow and weird. It started with an awkward hostess when we walked in the door. We were celebrating a birthday and had to track down the server every time we needed drinks. He would also forget part of the drink order but we didn’t have the heart to tell him.We were a party of 8 and 2 of the entrees came out ice cold. If drink maintenance were a priority, we would have stayed to hang out after the meal. I’ve been here at least 20x and this was the weirdest and worst service.
Delicious and reasonable.
This restaurant is so accommodating with both food and other requests. It is a great restaurant option for my family when some people eat meat, others vegan, etc.
Honestly one of the worse experiences I have ever had out
Amazing!! Authentic Mexican food with a great variety for brunch!
We booked a table for 17 for a surprise 30th birthday on Saturday 11/16. The food was amazing and the service was superb. I’m pretty sure the chicken empanadas are the empanadas I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was delicious and our server was amazing especially to be able to deal with such a large, loud group. I highly recommend this restaurant. They were so accommodating to our group, even allowing us to bring in decorations. One tip- parking is not great so I suggest giving yourself plenty of time to park or take an Uber if you can.
First the hostes was rude, he wanted us to leave the place by 6pm , there was plenty of seats and he said you have to go, I did not like the way he treated us, not sure if its because were hispanics but never again , they need to fire him.
Cantina Dos Segundos was an amazing experience! The service was great and the food was delicious. I would definitely go back and would recommend this place to other people. Highly suggest getting the Sencillo margarita and churros and flan for dessert!
Great atmosphere and amazing service! The food is good and the margaritas are excellent. Would highly recommend to a friend in the future.
The food was delicious and the margaritas we amazing. I have been there 3 time and that place never disappoint.
Great food, and even better margaritas. Definitely check out the guava margarita
The best best best Mexican in the city!!!
A hidden gem in Northern Liberties. Our party of four shared two pitchers of blood orange margaritas along with appetizers. Our nachos were very good, but the calamari was over-cooked. We each had a different entree. My carne asada burrito bowl was very good. The steak was well seasoned, tender, and cooked perfectly. The rice and beans helped to create a nice combination. I added some raw jalapeño peppers, which made the dish very hot and tasty. The other entrees in our group were equally as good. The service was slow but attentive. Great atmosphere with several rooms including an outdoor patio. The bill was very affordable, which is one of the many reasons that will have us return.
Sit outside when its nice outside- best location + best food
Excellent margaritas and guacamole. Entrees were OK, but nothing extraordinary.
Food and atmosphere were great! However our waiter seemed pretty disinterested in us!
Love this place. Great drinks and food.
Loved the food and the wait staff was great, but the place was so hot with no A/C and no ventilation. As well the room is very loud. Not sure if A/C was broken, or just not able to keep up with the heat, but not comfortable to eat/chat in this environment. Would go back, but def not during the hotter weather.
One of my favorites, roomier than other establishments and you feel welcomed each and every time!
The food was alright. It definitely wasn’t anything to write home about. 5/10
Great food but a bit loud for a dinner conversation.
Slow service. Overcharged for happy hour items. Consulted with the “manager” who said he would fix it. He did not. Would not recommend. Much better Mexican food in the city.
Great spot but way too loud inside, turn the music down. Food was fantastic
The food was excellent and we didn’t have to wait long for food. However our waiter was terrible. He was quiet and unfriendly. He didn’t come and check if we needed anything the whole time we were there (which was almost 3 hours because he disappeared). I would go again but hope for a different waiter.
So accommodating for a large party! Thank you!
They have enough vegetarian options. Our server was able to handle our large party of 18! Blood orange margarita pitcher was okay, the spicy margarita by the glass was fab! Appetizers were on the sweet side - friend plantains & cauliflower empanadas. Guacamole & enchiladas were good. The Brussels sprouts bowl was fantastic! Hard to find parking
Wow--service was terrible tonight. Waiter forgot to put in one person's order (out of 5), never brought our chips & salsa despite asking multiple times, they tried to bring us 2 drinks that weren't ours....and then put one of them on the bill (when we called it out, he was just like "oh yeah that must've been that table behind you"...what?! And you just leave it on our check?). And had to ask for check multiple times to begin with. Food was good but took off a star for the margaritas which were overly sweet and seemed like they had hardly any tequila.
3 out of 5 of us have been before and enjoy the food, but we agreed this was the worst service we've had there.
Had about 16 people for a birthday dinner. We ordered about 10 pitchers of margs and barely felt a thing, so we asked if they could make them stronger. After they did supposedly, we still barely felt a thing. Service was average, but there was a lot of us and it was busy that night so we understood. Food was the best part about the meal. Everything was correct when it came out and it was very good. In conclusion, we were all very stuffed, but sober, at the end of the night.
When I clicked on directions for the restaurant from the Open Table App I was brought a very roundabout way to the wrong location which was a VERY bad part of the city. The actual restaurant was 2 miles away! The restaurant is actually in a very nice neighborhood... once we got there.
I am not into authentic Mexican food so this was perfect for me. I would love to go back again.
Waitress took for ever to take our order. Brought glasses of water but no straws. We were a group of 8 and only brought one basket of nacho and salsa. Not enough utensil on the table for 8 members. Food was delicious although small serving for the price.
The food was great! I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be returning. Our server was okay, he didn’t really interact well with us but that did not affect my experience.
Great fajitas and drinks. Good for a group and fun music. Perfect for a snowy day.
I have always loved Cantina Dos Segundo. The food, service, and environment are always on point!
