The Mussels were amazing, very plump and exceptional flavor.
Pasta with truffles was very good, not amazing.
Great brussel sprouts too.
Cantina 229 rocks!
We celebrated our daughter’s 21 st birthday and were delighted with the innovative and delicious menu! Really nice ambiance and an upbeat feel! Our only disappointment was that they ran out of the lamb pot pie, which we hope to get next time we dine their! Highly recommend!
Josh and his staff are amazing. Couldn't love this place more.
Best restaurant in all of the Berkshires, which says a lot because there are TONS of great dining options there.... yes even better than the famed Wheatleigh. We were blown away by the entire experience.
We really enjoyed the night! The food was very good, the service was excellent and the ambiance was a lot of fun.
This was our third visit to Cantina 229 and we can’t wait to go back again! The food was outstanding , as well as the service. We chose four vegetarian appetizers for dinner and enjoyed all of them. We tried the homemade soft serve for dessert and it was delicious! We are looking forward to going back thanksgiving with our family.
Fabulous creative food in a fun rustic environment. According to their menu 90% of their ingredients come from 5 nearby local farms! Will definitely return...
Fantastic! Top three restaurants in the Berkshires. Don't miss it.
Worth the drive, even if it had been twice the distance--beautiful place, inventive, delicious food, great service, overall a spectacular experience and wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary.
We’d wanted to have a meal here for quite some time. We’re thrilled to finally be able to. We loved everything about it.....setting, cocktails, interesting menu, delicious food and attentive and helpful wait staff.
Recommend it unequivocally to everyone looking for a unique dining experience in the Berkshires. Can’t wait for our next visit! Looking forward to bringing family and friends!!
A delight from the lemon verbena margarita to the spicy espresso soft serve.
Love Cantina! Never disappoints- top quality, creative food in a beautiful environment.
Everything we had was excellent. Nice atmosphere, sort of in the middle of nowhere but a pretty property. Half indoors, half outdoors. Good service. A little pricey, but for good food. A nice 5th anniversary evening.
Love love live it. Great fun food, best described as eclectic, multinational. From poke to curries to taco Tuesday to wonderful house made pastas. Lots of local suppliers. Great ambience in an almost barn setting open to the outdoors. Skilled bar service, wonderful staff, good for special occasions as well as casual family dining. Just go.
great setting, friendly and efficient service, eclectic decor and a great vibe. highly recommend!
Very unique in every way, from the imaginative menu selections to the setting itself. Definitely a place for diners who like creative cooking, also, we noticed, for families with young children who could run around the back yard while the parents enjoyed their food and chat. Also impressed by the friendly and enthusiastic staff. Hunter and Jocelyn, for example, were great. We'll be back before long.
A unique environment that is beautiful and creates a lovely ambiance. The food is inventive and delicious with a nice Asian twist. Great outdoor space for families in the nice weather but I prefer the indoors. I feel like I am in a treehouse. Very professional service too.
We love Cantina 229! Great food, service, and setting.
What a great find in the Berkshires. One of the best restaurants that we have eaten at in the Berkshires. Very creative menu, and deliciously put together tastes. A real winner. Great service and advice from servers. We went before Tanglewood.
Delicious and fun. Love the garden, animals, the lively vibe.
Excellent food by creative chef. Especially love the bibimbap.
Even better the 2nd time. Good people serving good food in a beautiful setting.
Awesome every time we go! Great, innovative food. Unique and warm ambiance. Beautiful setting, gardens... Always a delight.
Incredible food! A fabulous menu, a very inventive menu. Homemade softserve is perhaps the best thing I have tasted in the Berkshires! An ever changing menu with local ingredients, our favorite place!!!!
Same as last year. Really missed the spicy corn!!!
I love Cantina 229. It has a wonderful ambience of welcome, warmth, fun, young, but welcome to all. The food is multinational, but very locally sourced, and Josh, the chef and owner, and his staff, go out of their way to make new creations which are always creative and new. The cocktail list is compact but filled wit wonders. Try the Mexcal Negroni. The mescals as shots are a special treat. I highly recommend Cantina for everyday, for special occasions, for wedding parties, and for the whole family. It's great year round. In the summer on the good days, wonderful outside, and warm and inviting in the winter. This place is all good. BTW, Taco Tuesday is a lot of fun and a great deal.
Our favorite spot in the Berkshires!
Our favorite restaurant in the Berkshires. The ride there is through beautiful country, the setting of the restaurant is idyllic and the food is always incredibly flavorful. Cantina never disappoints.
Fantastic dining experience. We sat outside on a beautiful Berkshire’s summer night. The food and service were superb. Our table had the spring rolls, poke, bibimbap, burgers, chicken, pork belly, and homemade vanilla ice cream. The mojitos were great too. Enjoy!
Love this new place! Great vibe, good service, delicious food. Nice option for outdoor dining too. Will be going back.
Great as always. A rather long wait to be seated but worth it!
Off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Excellent food in a very casual spot with excellent service.
Love Cantina 229. Super food. Super friendly service and accommodating. My daughters have several good-allergies and they always show us the food selections that they can eat. Everyone I have taken loves this place
The mint and vanilla soft serve was one of the best things I have ever tasted!
A jewel of a place in the beautiful Berkshires! Worth the trip-be sure to make a reservation.
The grounds were very nice to walk up to through the field from the adjacent parking lot, but I would say that the hostess was pretty frosty, which didn't set up the experience very well as first time diners to this place as - friendly. I'm not looking for a song and dance when I arrive mind you, but eye contact would be nice. It took awhile for my partner to get used to feeling comfortable there. Not sure if it was the servers at first or what, but eventually the two of us started to feel comfortable and enjoyed the rest of the dining experience.
The craft beer selection was great. The menu and food was also really great. The subdued funky music was great - keeping it quiet enough for us to have a conversation without needing to raise our voices. The drinks were served promptly and water glasses always refilled. In the end our server was attentive and friendly, and we eventually started to see that in other servers, too. Again the view and funky wood decor was very nice.
I'm 50-50 though on returning. Maybe it was an off night, but if I'm going to drive out into the country to have a nice dinner, it should feel like we would be welcomed to make the trip out there.
Food and atmosphere always greay
This is my favorite restaurant in the Berkshires. Absolutely superb hand-crafted cocktails, wonderful inventive food, friendly and attentive service, great atmosphere and location. Just perfect.
Cantina is a gem--tucked out in the country--atmosphere, inside and outside, is sweet/pastoral/low key/country. Food is fun/creative. Taco Tuesday is GREAT. The basil margarita is one of the best cocktails I've ever tasted. Thanks, Billy!
