Cantalini's Salerno Beach Restaurant
Cantalini’s Salerno Beach Restaurant offers a specialty in homemade ravioli, offering several topping options to their signature dish. Exotic seafood dishes are also available, as well as an extensive dessert and drink menu for the patrons’ after-dinner desires.
cute old school Italian by the beach. Great menu options from classic lasagna and pastas to seafood. We were a party of 8 and were seated right on time and treated like family.
they were very busy so we didn’t want to bother them although the gnocchi was raw and I could stretch it like dough and it had the consistency of raw dough. I think they forgot to cook it and just put hot sauce on top
20 minutes late seating us. Did not make any attempt to recover for that. Bathroom was flooded and out of order
We made reservations on Opentable for 7pm, but our table wasn't ready until 730ish. We went next door to have a drink at the bar and wait for our table, so it wasn't bad. Food was enjoyable and so was the ambiance.
Service wonderful, noise level always high. That’s to be expected. Not a problem. The blonde hostess was a bit busy on our arrival, however Lisa stepped up and took care of us. Cause she’s AMAZING! I recommend Cantalini’s to anyone who wants a perfect dinner. Ask for Rogelio, he’s the best server ever!
Really a great, cozy place. Family friendly and great food!
It's great for a home like feel and big group get together - We had a great time meeting up with family! Food was great too!
Wonderful dining, great food, and good portion sizes. Service is excellent, we love this little Italian spot by the beach.
I will recommend this amazing place to anyone and everyone that hears me......
This is the BEST place for raviolis....
Melts in your mouth...like butta!
Also, the staff.... speechless. There is not enough or big enough of a word to describe how fantastic the service and staff are.
Lisa, came to our table and made us feel welcome, like family and included. It was like a BIG FAMILY DINNER...
If you want a place to feel at home... this is the place to go.
We love the food and ambiance
We all enjoyed our meals. It was delicious as always. One of our favorite local dining spots. 😉
Love our waiter blednar and staff was amazing as was the food!!
We come here every Friday night and have been for 9 years- my bf has been for 20+ years.
We love the food, people and atmosphere! Hands down some of the best Italian food in the west side
Perfect place to celebrate our 14th year anniversary.
Great little spot with delicious food but they need to turn up the lighting as we all needed to pull out our phones to read the menu.
It has excellent food for reasonable prices. It was my first time there. I would definitely go back.
Great place to bring in the new year!
Excellent classic Italian / soup terrific / service friendly and professional
GREAT DINNER AND FRIENDLY SERVICE! WE HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED THIS RESTAURANT.
Parking is tough on weekdays but the food and service made up for it. High corkage fee at $20
Fantastic old school Italian! Great service, Fantastic food, Good price.
Not the best Italian food I’ve had. Veal was very tender but saltimbocca tasted more like Marsala. Tartufo not at all what I am used to: have only ever had it covered in hard dark chocolate shell; this one had no coating just tasted like ice cream with cocoa powder dusting. Friends chicken parm was average & other friend’s ravioli was good not great.
Excellent food and friendly service! Great date place. It was too warm and stuffy with no air circulation and this made us and 2 tables near us feel uncomfortable. Other than that it was great!
This retsaurant was OK, but not particularly wonderful. The bread was served cold, and did not include cheesey roles that came with a salad. I had to ask for butter. There was some confusion as to my meal and it was not served at the same time as my family's dinners. I ordered chicken marsala, which was ok, but like the bread was not hot enough when finally brought to the table. The other issue with the marsala was it was much too sweet. I'm pretty sure extra sugar was added to the sauce. On the plus side, I did eat most of it that evening and finished the dish the next day at home. The beer was cold. The server friendly and apologetic concerning the mix-up with my order. The restaurant is very convenient to my apartment and I'll probably eat here again. Prices were reasonable and the pizza (which i've had here on other occasions) is awesome.
Just an old standard, has been there for decades. Cute little joint that defines character. The menu was the traditional Italian fare that you would expect (fettuccini Alfredo, antipasto) from a place that's been doing it right for a very long time. And the food was spot on, really perfectly prepared. Like a lovely visit back in time.
The food is fantastic.
Cantalini’s hasn’t really changed in the 8 years since I’ve been there, and that’s a good thing. It’s small, so the tables are crowded and it’s very loud on a busy night, but the staff is friendly and the food is good. Outstanding plate this time: the fried calamari, it’s a basic dish, but the breading was crisp and light, meat was tender and not rubbery or fishy at all. Bread, especially the focaccia, was outstanding as always. Get an old man cocktail at the cash only bar next door or head down to the beach to Playa Provisions for a craft cocktail if you’d prefer. Make me miss living in Playa del Rey.
Sent friend there first time...love casual atmosphere and delicious foid
Seated 30 mins after reservation time. Food took close to 45 mins to arrive. Manager only explanation was that kitchen was really busy. But they didn’t do any comps or check in before we complained. Need to manage their kitchen and reservations better. We had hound hungry children that ended up eating dinner wayyy pass their bedtime.
Delicious food - would highly recommend this lovely restaurant .
Just the kind of cozy, Italian hideaway we wanted. The gnocchi was the highlight at our table, and highly recommended by the waiter, but my sausage and peppers were great, too.
I had a chicken Parmesan with a side of linguini aglio e olio. The chicken was moist, the sauce authentic and the linguine was served al dente; an excellent meal.
Everything was great the food, dessert and wine 🍷 the service was great however the wait was long once seated. It was early evening and there was only 1 waiter working about 7 tables. But the waiter was great and once we ordered everything fell in place.
Dinner with our youngest son. Great spot.
Great! Loved it!
Salerno Beach is the place to go for delicious authentic Italian food.
Excellent as always
We loved our waiter and the food was excellent! We would highly recommend eating here!
I love this restaurant. Early is better, cause I like it a little quieter. Rogelio is the best server EVER!
Fantastic dinner. Always eat here when I'm in Los Angeles. Visited for 18 years. Love it.
