As the only restaurant located along the canal-front in The Venetian® and The Palazzo®, Canonita offers guests a unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the Grand Canal with waterfront views of the resort’s famous singing gondoliers.
Outside of the restaurant, the Street Taqueria food truck recreates an essential element of Mexico City’s culinary and cultural landscape. The walk-up experience features a variety of street foods and house-infused margaritas perfect for grabbing a quick bite while walking the Grand Canal Shoppes.

Vegetarian food option were very good. Server was amazing and took care of all our dietary needs. Ambiance was very lovely. Can’t think of anything better. Thank you restaurant and special thanks to my server.
We ordered veggie quesadilla, but the order came with beef. Appreciate if the orders are noted down correctly and be served right the first time!
Food was very average and disappointing. Will not return.
Great hostesses! Very accommodating
Good food, service and value in the Venetian.
Get a table along the canal to listen to the gondola paddlers sing.
Average attempt at ‘Mexican’ food. Not worth the stop.
Food was delicious and it was right by beautiful scenery!
We had a table on the canal and enjoyed the outstanding food, great service from Ismael, and the singing of the gondoliers!!
Shortbraised chillaquiles are the best. Everytime we visit Vegas, this a mandatory place for brunch.
Great food and price.
Great place to have a date or just have dinner
It was a nice restaurant with good food and a great ambiance.
Terrific. Server was attentive, food was great. Good value for Las Vegas. The manager was awesome and took time to check on us. Very pleased in general. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend for a good Mexican meal in Vegas.
Great view of canal and great food!!!
Great grub. It is worth the short walk from the Sands Expo.
Our food was authentic , fresh and delicious.
Best margaritas with top shelf tequila. Our server was pleasant.
This food WAS DELICIOUS. I got the smoked chicken quesadilla with cilantro rice and I cleaned my plate. I also got the frozen margarita and sangria swirl, which was tasty as well. The restaurant sits within the Venetian Hotel so you get to see the waterway and people going by on their gondola rides; very authentic. The service was timely and we did not have any issues!
Great gauc but atmviance nothing special
Never disappoints. Great food made with love. Always on my list when I come to town on business.
Excellent service. Jalapeño margarita is the best version of that I’ve had. Good for casual, simple dining in Vegas. Enchiladas were good.
Great service & incredible food! 😎
Unfortunately, all of our meals were sub-par. The enchiladas were not hot and the tortilla was soaked. The rice was, likewise, luke warm and the Bread Pudding dessert was hard and bitter. Unfortunately, we did not have a good dining experience.
A lovely, moderately-priced dining option at the Venetian. The food was very good, the setting (we were seated by the indoor canal) was fun. Really nice overall experience.
Everything was great. Good tasting waiter answered all questions, an enjoyable experience.
Well, it`s very nice sitting there next to the fake Venetian ambiance and very convenient when you are guest at the Venetian, but the food was a little disappointing.
Very good the Guacamole and the first main dish , Barbacoa something, but overall not as good as I expected.
Furthermore, the Canonita closes at Sundays at 10pm. They shouldn`t accept reservation after 9pm in order not to be sitting among chairs turned upside down and cleaning situations.
Food was good guacamole was good, drinks were good. Average overall. View of canal was great!! Could sit there a long time
Service was good and it was cool sitting on the canal. Food was not great. Steak was chewy and the chicken tacos didn't have a ton of flavor. For Mexican food on the west coast I was disappointed.
Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and good price!
Quality of drinks and food has gone down since I was there last time.
came out with a birthday dessert as we paid for the check
Great food and great service.
It was okay. We went for breakfast. The food is beautiful and tasted pretty good. Prices are decent for what’s given. It leans to the Mexican type of food, which I’m not fond of.
I got the pancakes which comes with bacon. I had to order eggs on the side.
It was beautiful there.
Yes for the view, otherwise another place would be my choice next time. I rate it a 6-7
Just good solid food, great flavors, relaxed. The only down side is they do not Open till 8:00. Even with a line of Customers waiting.
Waiter brought out our entree before our appetizer. To be fair they took the appetizer off the bill. Because the restaurant was not crowed I was disappointed in that aspect. However the food was amazing. I would go back.
Really great service, good food, fantastic setting! They also gave us complimentary choros because it was our wedding anniversary :-)
My husband sent the food back it had a horrible taste and smell, what he did eat he became sick all day yesterday.
The food was absolutely delicious and our server and hostess were awesome! The atmosphere is amazing!
Ambiance and service were friendly and enjoyable. Shrimp burrito was tasty but rice and beans were nothing special. My waiter was pleasant and the drinks were Great. I’d return to try another dish.
We wanted a casual location for drinks and an appetizer and had enjoyed this spot in the past so we thought that we would try it again. Unfortunately half of the restaurant was booked for a private party, which we were seated next to and it was quite loud. I actually had a difficult time hearing my table mates speak.
Our server was nice, but she and the bussers kept circling our table. She finally walked over an told us that they had another reservation and we had to leave, even though there were empty tables. We weren’t finished with our appetizer nor finished with our drinks.
No where on our confirmation did it say that there was a minimum F&B to be met or that there was a time limit.
The restaurant, recognizing that they had space limitations due to the private party should have limited their Open Table reservations.
Wish we could sit next to the canal. Unfortunately, all tables near the canal were for 2 people.
The carne asada was amazing as was the tres leches dessert! Highly recommend. Happy hour prices make drinking in Vegas somewhat affordable.
